One of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, only a single original column remains with the other columns being excavated and restored. There are few information signs by the temple that explain the history of the temple. Overall an alright attraction to see when in the Sart township.

The Temple of Artemis in Ephesus is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – and although only a single reconstructed column remains today, the site holds immense historical and symbolic value. Standing on the ground where one of antiquity’s most magnificent temples once stood is truly humbling. The site is peaceful, open-air, and free to access. It’s located near Selçuk and can be easily reached by foot or car. There are no crowds, no ticket booths – just the silence of nature and the weight of history. In the distance, you can see the castle rising on the hill, adding to the dramatic backdrop.

There is not much left of the temple . Just one column. Was hoping to see more. There is a lot of history, but since there is not much left, it was a little disappointing. Also, not much croud visiting either . There is no need to buy any tickets. Free activity.

The Temple of Artemis holds immense historical significance, yet what remains today is quite minimal. Once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, it’s hard to imagine its former grandeur when standing before the single surviving column. By itself, visiting just this site may feel a bit underwhelming, so it’s best to pair the visit with Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary to get a fuller historical experience. Knowing that this was once a massive, awe-inspiring temple dedicated to Artemis and seeing the ruins up close still adds perspective to how much history has passed through this land. The site is quiet and not overly crowded, making it easy to explore at your own pace. While there’s not much left standing, the history behind it makes it a worthwhile quick stop, especially when combined with other nearby sites.

There is a column, but I also saw a cat. Not much to see, but I gave it a 4 since this was the Temple of Artemis, one of the wonders of the ancient world. Do not skip if you are in the area.

It's al world wonder. No supervising. A lot of booksellers (>25€ each haha) A lot of annoying yoga people who sit there all day ruining your pictures. It's still a must to visit. And completely free

Only one column remains at this site. Admission is free. At the parking area, some locals may approach you, offering to introduce the site and trying to sell picture books.

It's a shame that the local authority didn't do anything to this place, it is after all one of the ancient 7 wonders of the world. Now what it's left is just one pillar with a stork nest on top. It's free entry
