What can you do with your spare underground Victorian loo? Well, for nigh on 30 years this one has been a unique and thriving pub! I've been oblivious to its existence in all my previous visits back to Manchester, but this was time to make amends. It's quite the experience, with a good range of alcoholic beverages and good music in the background. It doesn't take many people to fill the place, but it's well worth checking out.

An incredibly cool pub based in an old underground toilet I understand. It's obviously very busy and cramped, so I expect you'd be lucky to get a seat most days! Has good beer and even a nice cider - maybe the nicest I had up north. I'm not sure why there was a recession on mirrors in the bathroom though? 😂

Wow. Remember those downstairs toilets (think Carry on screaming) .... Well it's that. But with a bar. Don't worry no urinals or toilets in view .... You have to go to the actual toilet for that .... I liked the graffiti and the general awe of this place

Stumbled upon this wee hidden gem as we were walking towards Chinatown. The underground bar is cosy and pretty hidden unless you know what you’re looking for, we sat down originally for one but with the fantastic selection of albums in the jukebox, we ended staying the rest of the night. Love the music which in turn gives it a really good atmosphere and reminds me of many underground or back alley bars in the many alleyways in Tokyo. Love this place.

05/10/24: long gone is the stench of wee, as it was in the 90's. Toilets still disgusting though. Worth a visit for the Belgian beers.
