Wife and I drove down to Tg Pagar for dinner today, and tried this place out.
We've often eaten just below at Lad & Dad, but never ventured upstairs.
I'm glad we did today!
This quaint, small but cosy eatery serves up some really good food, and at reasonable prices too!
The Grouper fish soup was clear but flavourful, and the turgid pieces of Grouper slices inside were really fresh. I had their sweet and sour Dory Fish. Now this is where the owner Mr Lee truly impressed me. I didn't look closely at the menu, but he asked me if it was ok they used farmed Dory Fish. He even mentioned that some people weren't too comfy eating this fish, and asked if I was ok with it. I of course said yes, and the dish turned out really nice! Crispy batter, covering soft, moist fish flesh inside, and the gravy, copious thick, with a very old-school taste. So much unlike some of the ketchup smothered sauces we eat in some places.
Nice food, friendly staff and owner, and reasonable prices.
