The Terrace Hanalei (Upstairs)

Great restaurant in Hanalei with ample seating, great service, a diverse menu with delicious food, fine cocktails and an open terrace with one of the most iconic and breathtaking vistas on the island. The view from the terrace overlooks the Hanalei valley with the Namolokama mountain range in the distance which is famous for its lush green cliffs and dozens of thin cascading waterfalls, especially during rainy days. Highly recommend. Won't disappoint.

These people are the best. We were struggling to find a place for our rehearsal dinner since other restaurants were charging enormous venue fees and/or couldn’t fit our group, but everyone here at the terrace just made the whole night pain and hassle free. We were in touch with them weeks before and they were able to accommodate us and the whole dinner was delicious and went by smoothly. Huge shout outs to Cesar and Miguel and the rest of the staff!

We thought this place was "just a bar", we were wrong in the best way! Good menu options, and this was the only place where they didn't overdo the Mahi Mahi. We ordered the fish and chips and a salmon bowl. Both were fantastic. These chefs know what they're doing. Place was packed on Father's Day, but I imagine it's pretty busy most days in season. Reserve a table! I overheard someone else had an hour wait. And oh man the fries. So good. Server was great, knew what I wanted before I even asked for it... three times in a row.

Nice restaurant. We got seated at table with a great view of the mountain side. They have a great selection of cocktails with decent prices, better than the resorts. I had a mai tai which I enjoyed. The food is also good. We got 2 orders of the Mahi mahi fish and chips, bulgogi bowl and the ahi tuna sandwhich. Everybody really liked their food. I would recommend for a nice sit down meal.

Casual restaurant with a nice view of the mountains. Our server was super nice and service was quick! The Pina colada was tasty, as was the coconut shrimp and the bulgogi bowl! Good place to stop and relax with a good meal if driving up the coast to see the sites!

Not surprising to see all the five star reviews. We had dinner with friends. Cameron was our server. He explained our dinner options and was attentive and timely. We all enjoyed our meals, both appetizers and mains. We ordered the Poke Nachos and Edamame Beans to start. Our meals were salmon, fish and chips, beet and goat cheese salad, and teriyaki chicken salad. There was one small glitch when one of our meals came out well before the others. The owner replies to Google reviews, which is a top barometer for a good experience. The owner is engaged with their business and cares about their customers.

This is an easy one. Great food, I had the Poke bowl, it was excellent! We were served by Paulette, she was great and the views are stunning. I would definitely go here again!

Very pleased with my experience dining here the evening of June 17. Though there were no seafood soups, the Seafood combo linguine was excellent and their prices on non-alcoholic drinks were very reasonable - and free refills were offered. Best dining experience I had on Kauai!
