The Three Houses Inn

Our family stayed here for a wedding, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The rooms were wonderful, with lots of charming details throughout. The food was amazing, right from their own garden or sources locally. And the hosts were just simply stellar, always a friendly smile and chat. I would highly recommend staying here, and we plan to go back in the future!

Three houses is an upscale b&b which I frequent several times a year. David and Uku take great care ensuring your every need is met and the sumptuous breakfasts will leave you not requiring luncheon. Thick towels, lovely linens and fabulous pillows on restful mattresses.

We have been staying at this B&B for the past several years and absolutely love it, but be warned - it will spoil you for staying anywhere else! This year we even stayed an additional night. The breakfasts are legendary- the first morning it was a crustless quiche with mushrooms and spinach,day 2 featured scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and our last morning was an asparagus soufflé accompanied by local organic sausages.The breakfasts all began with homemade granola, fresh fruit and yogurt and included homemade scones or gigantic fruit muffins.bursting with blueberries or cranberries. You won't miss lunch trust me!||In addition, the accomodations are sumptuous. Large well appointed rooms with very comfortable beds,fireplaces,,(which we didn;'t need) and a lovely landscaped yard complete with beautiful outdoor swimming pool. It is definitely a little slice of heaven! David Lester, the host, goes the extra mile to ensure that your stay is wonderful with great shopping and dinner suggestions. Ceiling fans, air conditioning and private patios or porches complete the picture.

Stayed here as it was the only place to stay while catching a show with friends. I was surprised to say the least, as the reviews here are very good, though quite outdated. ||||Perhaps this place had charm and was a comfortable place to stay a few years ago. ||||Maybe with Covid, things fell apart. Mattresses are old, and I can only describe them as similar to sleeping on the ground when you are camping. ||||The rooms are crowded and overwhelming, a little too much and the furniture is not anything you would like to sit in. The springs bounce, and poke at you, it’s dirty and tired. ||||There seems to be no standard. The room was musty smelling. We were given a half full bottle of shampoo as the only amenity. Cobwebs in the corner. Stains of mildew on the curtains. I’m not sure it’s been steam cleaned in the last 10 years at least.||||The caretakers look rough around the edges. Perhaps worn out, but not welcoming. || ||I don’t recommend spending your hard earned money here. A motel 6 is probably a better bang for your buck. Not sure why there are so many positive reviews, but this place has clearly lost its charm.

Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood but easy walking distance to theaters, restaurants and downtown shopping. David Lester and his staff are accommodating, friendly and interesting but not intrusive. The rooms are spectacular and unique with no details left out. Definitely a luxury destination but still incredible value considering a gourmet breakfast is also included.No wonder loyal and appreciative guests like my family keep returning year after year.

Knowing that we will be coming to Stratford for our yearly visit is always something I look forward to + this year was no exception, despite the cancellation of the theatre season. Many people seemed puzzled that we still planned to come to this wonderful city, but then they've never stayed here.I hesitate to really talk about how fabulous this place is in the event that it becomes so popular I can't get a reservation!.||All the rooms have ensuite baths, complete with nightlight,shampoo + other toiletries.||The rooms are spacious, tastefully appointed +have large windows that allow fresh air in, taking advantage of cool breezes.Fireplaces when there is a chill in the air bring warmth + romance. And breakfast, well that will spoil you for any other B+B. It would be hard to surpass David's breakfasts.... This year we enjoyed mini souffles, fresh strawberry megamuffins, an egg + cheese tart with fresh home grown asparagus (from their garden). On another morning there were homemade scones and sausages. And always the morning meal begins with yoghurt, granola + fresh fruit.Coffee,( decaf or full octane) as well as tea are available in sufficient quantities to insure your awakening.

We have been staying here for years and my wife and I share a house with another couple, the East House on the Three Houses property. ||We absolutely love the property and the salt water pool.||Breakfast is always a special moment and begins with a yogurt/granola parfait and has a delicious egg dish (quiche, an egg strudel, or some other variety) and fresh scones or muffins, served with coffee or tea.||The care is attentive and the location is stellar. There are always fantastic recommendations for dinner. ||

I booked a two bedroom unit for 4 of us on the recommendation of a friend that lives in Stratford. I have never stayed at a b&b so I did not know what to expect. We were given the entire east house which had a queen bed in one room, 2 twins in another and 2 twins in the loft area. Each bedroom had a sitting area with sofa and the loft had sofa chairs. The 2 main bedrooms had full bathrooms.|The main floor had a powder room, entrance area with sofa, sitting area with fireplace, small dining area with 4 chairs, living room with sofas and a full kitchen. There is also a balcony and patio. Had I known, we would have brought more people and stayed more nights!|It was walking distance to shops and restaurants and to the Avon theatre.|Alicia, the lovely lady who settled us in said she would bring breakfast over in the morning.
