The Tides Barbados

Lovely setting for breakfast. The staff are polite unobtrusive and kept our water glasses topped up. The service is on the slow side but this was breakfast so I cannot comment on evening service. The food once received was well worth the wait, everyone enjoyed their choice especially my wife who couldn't stop commenting on the fried dumplings in her Bajan breakfast. On my next visit to Barbados, I would like to see what the evening menu experience is like.

I had a phenomenal 39th birthday dinner here! As a woman celebrating solo, the service was top-tier and they made me feel completely celebrated. From the seamless valet arrival to the incredible sunset views and delicious food, every detail was perfect. They even surprised me with a birthday cake and sparkler! If you’re looking for a world-class experience with a welcoming atmosphere, this is it.

Love this restaurant! We have been here both times we have come to the island and love it. The food is fabulous and the service is amazing. The servers were attentive and the atmosphere can't be beat. I can't wait to be back!

The Tides is not only a restaurant, but an experience. The service is immaculate, the staff are kind, patient, and attentive. You will be treated like royalty for the duration of your visit and accompanied by beautiful views of our Bajan shores. Not to mention, the flavor of the food is 10/10 of course. As a Bajan I am so proud to have such luxury on our shores. Highly recommend for any occasion.

Best oysters I’ve ever had. Jermaine was the best server I’ve ever had. Also, best sticky toffee pudding I’ve ever had. I love how they sell art work in the lobby too! 100% recommend this place

A good friend recommended this as a great restaurant with great fresh food, service and views. He wasn't wrong. We booked this for Sunday lunch. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well. Staff were attentive, just the right level of service. Food was exquisite. It was a special afternoon and they certainly made it special. 2 courses for $135 3 courses for $165 and a free glass of sangria. A real treat. They had live music playing, but just at the right level to enjoy it and create a wonderful atmosphere. Decor and ambience was spot on.

Great location and beautiful restaurant. The food was on the pricey side but everything that came out was delicious. We were a bit confused as they have a 12.5% service charge added to the bill which is pretty normal for us in the UK at nice restaurants. Our server was claiming the restaurant does not give this to the staff and if we wanted to tip we had to give cash. I would like to know if this is true or customary as we only had a card with us and paid the 12.5percent tip on the bill. The waiter’s whole demeanour changed when we didn’t give an extra cash tip and made us feel extremely uncomfortable ruining a really nice dinner/experience. Is this a normal thing in Barbados?

Awesome deliciousness with a view. The 🌊 waves were splashing against the rocks at night. It was a birthday celebration dinner. Drinks were on point. Service was 5 stars ⭐️. Valet was 5 star ⭐️ . The vibes of the atmosphere were perfect.
