⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Everything about this restaurant was a 10/10! I celebrated my birthday here and it was perfect. We started with the flash fried calamari which was delicious, and I tried their Greek salad that was part of the specials for the night so fresh and flavorful. For dinner, I had the herb crusted chicken saltimbocca and we also ordered the crispy roast maple leaf farm half duck with the pineapple teriyaki sauce both were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The drinks were amazing too. The hazelnut espresso martini is a must try! Our server Bryan (I think that was his name) provided amazing service and the rest of the team were very attentive throughout the night. They even cut and beautifully presented the birthday cake I brought in, and surprised me with a birthday brownie that was so good. Overall, such a great experience and I definitely recommend coming here, whether it’s for a special occasion or just a nice dinner out.

Enjoyed an excellent Father's Day celebration on the outdoor patio. Rachel took such wonderful care of each person's needs. She gave exceptional service. The food was presented so beautifully and was very flavorful. I forgot to take a picture of the conch fritters as they were delicious and vanashied as quickly as they showed up! Dinners were delicious, and if I had room for dessert, I would have tried that as well.

Google
Start to finish incredible customer service. We were seated quickly, and Robert our server took great care of us. Our water glasses NEVER went without, as there was a young man clearing plates and making sure our water never ran dry. This level of attention was not lost on me. The food was Beautiful as it was delicious. It is rare that I dine at a place that feels more than a meal, we felt taken care of. I will absolutely be back!

We went to the Tides for our one year wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. Our server Scott was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, very attentive, and overall made a positive impact on our evening. We loved the separated plating for shared appetizer. The crab cakes and grilled pear salad were both delicious. The best thing we ordered was the sweet tea brined pork chop with pimento cheese grits, absolutely incredible, tender and delicious. We highly recommend the Tides for a special occasion and hope to be back soon!

Google
Picked this place for dinner based on the reviews and was not disappointed. Everything from the service to the food was outstanding. There were plenty of specials to choose from. We started with the fried oysters and calamari, both were excellent. The pear salad was fresh and flavorful. For our entrées we had the duck, tuna, pork chops, sea bass, and fettuccine. Every dish was delicious. A wonderful dining experience all around. Highly recommend trying this place.

Google
An absolutely incredible experience. It’s expensive, so go there eyes wide open. Typically you need reservations two weeks out. We actually got in on the same day at 5 O’Clock…very lucky. They sat us outside at their house next door. Yes, it’s all part of the same venue. The weather, atmosphere and environment were outstanding. From appetizers (1/2 pear salad, baked oysters, and New England clam chowder), main course (Cobia, Grouper, and steak), to desert (chocolate brownie and oatmeal apple bake) and drinks (old fashion, Poire Martini, Pinot Grigio, and White Haven Sauvignon Blanc) were excellent choices. I thought the Sauvignon Blanc went particularly well with the Cobia. Gina our waitress was funny and engaging, she did a great job. Special thanks to Amber for fitting us in. Most definitely coming back on my next trip to Vero. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.

Google
Rarely do I review restaurants but this one is over the top worthy of a review! The food is absolutely fabulous! Unique preparation and flavor palette for traditional dishes! I would absolutely come back to try other dishes but the veal milanese and pork chop dishes were so amazing...never had a pork chop moist that it cuts like butter! ❤️❤️❤️. The specials fried oyster and beet salad were always phenomenal!

Google
Absolutely amazing!! If in Vero, its a MUST !! So glad we decided to dine here for one of our two nights at the beach. So quaint! We sat outside in July and it was actually quite pleasant. Excellent service and the food was fantastic!!! Definitely get the lobster bisque and the burrata and tomato salad to start!!! All of the courses were 5 star! Hope to come back one day soon! Well done!!👏🏻

Yelp
If you're looking for a fabulous restaurant for a special occasion or just a night out this is the place. My husband and I try to get down to Vero Beach each October for my birthday to go to this wonderful restaurant. Let me just brag about the dinner we had last evening. We started with the pear salad which was delicious and plenty enough to share. I had the salmon and my husband had the swordfish. I can tell you it was no ordinary salmon or swordfish it was with special sauces and presented so beautifully. Scott was our server, he had waited on us before. The service is impeccable. He made our night so special. After dinner, the owner Claudia came to each table to chat. She is so warm and friendly that is the difference between a good restaurant and a great restaurant. The ambiance in this restaurant is so warm and friendly. It is the perfect restaurant for a special occasion or just a night out. No night is complete without dessert. Scott brought us a brownie cake with a candle. He even sang Happy Birthday. I have to say that made my night. So in conclusion, if you're in the Vero Beach area make The Tides your first stop. I think you will agree with my five-star rating. Thanks Scott and Claudia for making another birthday so special!!!!!!

Yelp
Another great meal at what is claimed to be the best fine dining restaurant in Vero Beach Florida. I am a fan of their seafood entries. Each fish is based on the catch of the day and changes frequently. We had salmon which is a regular menu item, but I prefer something different. Not to knock it, but salmon is salmon. The two specials we went for were the swordfish and the halibut, both were excellent and cooked to perfection. To start our meal we had the raw oysters and caesar salad w/anchovies to be sure. Our server Robert was very attentive and a long-time loyal employee focused on making The Tides a special experience. The dining area is very nice, simple and relaxing. Our only bad experience was that we were seated near a large table in front of the fireplace. Of the two groups that were at this table I don't know which one was louder. Seems that when you have a conversation you don't need to share with the entire room. Note to self- next time ask for a table in the back area , which appeared to have more sophisticated diners that enjoyed fine food and quiet conversations. From my previous visit I continue to encourage you to make a reservation well in advance since The Tides is a very popular spot. Street parking is easy.

Yelp
This restaurant does get busy and reservation is recommended. The hostess was snappy when we showed up and had no reservation but did seat us inside. . It is quite cozy but does get loud . The food is really good and our waitress was nice. Quite a selection on the wine list as well.

Yelp
Excellent Food! We had mussels and halibut. Cooked to perfection. The house bread was super tasty, too!
google avatar

Yelp
Clearly the best restaurant in Vero. The food was terrific even by snooty Manhattan standards. Great variety as well. Service impeccable and setting lovely. Top notch from someone who has sampled about 30 Vero restaurants.

Yelp
The consistent delivery of excellence by The Tides kitchen and staff have it at the top of the 'coveted dinner destinations' list in Vero Beach, FL. Many come close, but it is this diners humble opinion that they are our area's #1.
google avatar

Timothy S.

Yelp
The Tides arguably serves the finest cuisine in Vero Beach. On this particular evening we were celebrating my Mother's birthday and while ours' was a small group, it didn't compromise our capacity to "sample" a few different dishes. Instead of starting with their signature Pear Salad, I selected the mixed beet salad, it was outstanding. As my entree I selected the veal scallopini, it was exquisite. The service throughout our meal was impeccable, exactly what you would expect with a fine dining experience. The other item of note, and this has become a pet peeve of mine, too many restaurants today serve their food at a lukewarm temperature, not here at The Tides, everyone's meals were served piping hot, something that was very much appreciated.

Yelp
Quaint little restaurant in Vero Beach. Absolutely first rate service. Each person in our party of six was delighted with their food. Excellent presentation and portions were generous. Even the side vegetables on the plate were just perfectly done. Got to plan ahead as reservations can be difficult to get. Parking is on the street. No lot. A bit expensive but worth the price.

Yelp
Baked oysters were good... my Halibut was a little over cooked, while sauce was nice, with the bed of beans. Wife's Filet was cooked very well. Service was attentive.

Jean F.

Yelp
A friend and I swing in for early dinner without a reservation. We were first-timers. Luckily we got seats at the outdoor bar (which was under cover) and I can't imagine a better experience. The bartender Kevin was wonderful and a master mixologist. The food was incredible. We will definitely return and I highly recommend.

Yelp
Everything was perfect here-the staff-the owners-the decor-the service-the drinks-the food-the dessert-best meal in Vero Beach yet.

Yelp
Five stars all the way. First time here and Anastasia was simply perfect. Food 10/10. Service 10/10. Living in CT and can't wait to go back!! The halibut special was absolute perfection.

Yelp
Very rude hostess. December 28, 2024. Will not return... all tables were empty. Woman at hostess station can is training in customer service.

Yelp
Had a great experience at The Tides. We weren't able to get a reservation (we were last minute in our attempt), but a cancellation happened and they called to let us know there was availability. Best meal of our trip, hands down. We started with the crab cake appetizer. They split the portion between us and the presentation was beautiful. One of the best crab cakes I've ever had. Very fresh, great flavor, full of crab. Then we had the peppercorn filet mignon and potato crusted grouper. Both were phenomenal dishes. We ended our meal with a pecan pie bread putting. Normally my husband and I share an entrée, but everything sounded so good. We had to order our own and we finished everything. The service was top-notch from start to finish, and our server - I believe her name was Jordan - was above and beyond. We sat outside, and it was a bit hot, but cooled down with the misting fans. The courtyard area is cute, with plants and greenery separating you from the sidewalk areas. There's also a covered patio near the outside bar. Easily the best meal we had during our visit to Vero and we would highly recommend.

Yelp
We had a 5 star excellent dinner here. Service was wonderful -- thank you David -- as was the food. You could tell from the beginning that this was going to be great. The bread basket was wonderful -- coarse salted bread slices that were addictive along with sweet mini corn muffins and soft whipped butter. And they weren't stingy with the amount in the basket, either. We started by sharing a very good lightly dressed Caesar salad -- with added anchovies on the side. They even had no problem splitting the serving onto two plates in the kitchen. My main meal -- crispy duck -- was perfectly cooked and actually came with crispy skin as requested. One of the best I've ever had. I liked that they served the sauce -- an apricot orange one -- on the side so that the skin didn't get soggy. I loved my meal. My husband had their macadamia nut crusted snapper. He said the fish was lightly coated and flavorful. He also liked both the roasted potatoes and carrots that came with it. He was very pleased. We were too full for dessert, but we didn't miss it. We left the restaurant remarking on how wonderful everything was -- especially hard during a busy pre holiday period -- and how we would both highly recommend it.

Yelp
What a wonderful Thanksgiving Eve dining experience! David, our server was very helpful and pleasant. I ordered the Macadamia nut encrusted Snapper with roasted potatoes and carrots with broccoli. My wife ordered the Duck with apricot orange sauce, mashed potatoes, carrots and broccoli. My Snapper was cooked perfectly and tasted so good! My wife likes her Duck crispy, most places come close, but the kitchen got it perfect here! She was so impressed and enjoyed her dish so much, she said it was the Best Duck she's ever had! Thanks to everyone for such a great meal and experience!

Yelp
We came to celebrate our anniversary. Joanie was so friendly! She has a great personality and provided excellent service. Her helpers Thomas and Grayson were also very attentive. It's nice to see young people engaging with the customers. At first glance, the menu seems small but there were quite a few specials. We decided on the Ahi and Mahi specials, both were very fresh and delicious. For dessert, we took Grayson's recommendation on the Irish Oatmeal Cake and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake, OMG so good! The interior is quiet and cozy, perfect for an intimate dinner. They are open every day 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Yelp
The food was amazing! The service was also top of the line. I had the grouper, my partner had the snapper... both were delicious!

Albert B.

Yelp
Best place in Vero Beach. It's a must. Everything is wonderful. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
We just celebrated our 59th anniversary at the Tides. Every year we try to think of someplace different but in reality, nothing in the area can compete with the food, ambience or pleasantness of everyone involved. We had the oysters & mussels for appetizers. They were perfection on a plate...we both chose the pompano for our entree & we're surprised with a special chocolate dessert for our special occasion! See you next year (if not sooner) Tides......

Kim C.

Yelp
This was our first experience at this restaurant and definitely will not be our last! The staff were pleasant and polite. The food was amazing. My husband had Veal Scallapenni and I had the potato crusted grouper with crab. Absolutely one of the best meals here in Florida in quite sometime. The bartender was on point as well, cosmo to martinis to desert drinks. We will definitely be back!

Jeanne L.

Yelp
Highly overrated by locals; can't believe this is considered a high-end restaurant - you would think these locals especially, would know better.--- Service: fair to poor; Food: same as Service; Ambience: I guess; Price: insult to injury. Better option close by: Ocean Grill

Yelp
1 of the most yummy dinners we've all had! I highly recommend this restaurant. It's always our " go to " in Vero Beach. It has indoor & outdoor seating. I consider it fine dining because of the menu, wine list & quality of the food , but we see people dressed very casually, too. The bar is outside in front. The hey have 3 dining rooms inside with beautiful artwork ( for sale ) on the walls. My husband and I always get the crab crusted grouper, but this time I ordered the filet mignon & it was unbelievable! I'm still dreaming about it ! It's definitely an indulgence, topped with melted gorgonzola & peppercorn sauce and thin onion straws. It was served over delicious mashed potatoes & green beens & carrots. So freaking good ! The other dishes pictured here are my husband's pork chop , which he said was the best he's ever had! My "mom2" had her fave dish there, the lamb ( not always on the menu) with mint jelly. We started with the delicious baked oysters & also shared the greek salad . Everything was as a 10 out of 10! Our waitress Gina was phenomenal & The Tides restaurant even carries our favorite wine ,Caymus. I truly can't recommend this restaurant enough !

Yelp
I've been to the tides many times and have always had a 5 star experience. Tonight I went with my wife and daughter for my 59 Birthday celebration. We had a 5:15 reservation and got there at 5:05 and we were seated promptly. We were sat at a table that if there were. 4th person with us, they would not have fit as that seat was pushed up against a wall. The restaurant was about 20% full when an empty table next to us was seated. One of the diners at the table was so loud that after 15 minutes I started to get a headache. We couldn't even hear each other at my table he was so loud. We let the server know but I understand that there was not really much that they could do. My main issue was that the restaurant stuffed us all together when 60% of the tables were empty. Also, my wife's steak came out the wrong temperature. I understand when this happens at a lesser restaurant but cooking a steak well-done should not be that challenging at a fine dining establishment. I was planning on having dessert but at that point my head was pounding from this loud man so I asked for the check to get out as soon as I could. When we left at about 6:30 the restaurant was a little over half full, yet they felt the need to cram this loud mouth right next to me. My party departed and I still left a 20% tip for the waitress because it was not her fault and she tried. I do not like to leave negative reviews and I wouldn't have since I figured that this was just an off night. When I walked out the front door, an older lady in a sundress asked me how my dinner was. I was honest and told her that I had a terrible experience. I said that they shouldn't have crammed that table next to us when they had an empty restaurant. To make a long story short she was rude, unprofessional and I will not return to the tides. There are at least 5 other restaurants that are just as good that would be thankful for my 300 dollars. If I wanted my dinner ruined by big mouths, I can go to the Outback. ****UPDATE: After reading my review, Claudia, the owner contacted me. She apologized for my experience and was not happy about the way that her staff handled this situation. She advised that she would like to invite me back to make up for my disappointing experience. I told her calling me demonstrated her passion and concern for her business and that I was not really looking for anything. She insisted that I return as her guest to make up for my most recent visit. Today a received a gift certificate in the mail. Claudia never asked me to change my review which I think is commendable. I have had leadership positions in my career. We all know that sometimes we miss the mark. As a leader it is important to make sure that we right the ship. Claudia did just that and I respect her taking responsibility for my experience and trying to make it right!

Yelp
This was our second visit to this restaurant. And all my travels I can say this is the only restaurant where I was able to witness. Every staff member fully trained know exactly what should be done and how to do it. The food choices and flavors were outstanding. We had a nice relaxing dinner, quiet atmosphere and look forward to returning sometime soon.

Yelp
A very nice location and setting in a charming neighborhood of Vero Beach. Wonderful food and efficient service. Nothing not to like.

Mike H.

Yelp
What more can I say about this place? We have Scott as a waiter and he was AMAZING. My wife and I celebrated our 9th year anniversary. Read the reviews online before attempting the place. Couldn't say more about the amazing in and around ambiance. The food was great I had the fillet mignon and my wife had the Herb Crusted Chicken Saltimbocca. Definitely would recommend both can't wait to come back and try the pork chops. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.

Yelp
Finally got a reservation! It was well worth the wait. Great outside area. We did eat inside. It reminded me of a place my dad and I would go to in little Italy. The service was excellent. The menu had a nice variety of dishes. The list of specials was very long and all sounded so good. I had the Veal scaloppini, unbelievably delicious. Cooked perfectly. The side of broccoli was really good . Served over tagliatelle. My friend had the Tuna with broccoli and when I tell you there was nothing left on her plate! Will definitely be going there again soon.

George K.

Yelp
Great little place with outstanding atmosphere. Celebrating our 30th anniversary and our meals were cooked to perfection! Great service with a small little town feel. Will dine here again!

Yelp
Bones in my fish which is very dangerous. Lou Anne, the owner, I think,,, offered me a free dessert. I wanted a good fish dinner...didn't get that!

Yelp
Never a bad meal, always great service. The staff is consistently professional and the food has a beautiful combination of flavors and texture.

Yelp
We went for anniversary, 1st time.. really cute place, they have a nice patio. They seated us right away and we had a nice table in the back room, AC was perfect. Great 1st impression! Our server Robert was pretty incredible. They had maybe 10 app specials and close to the same amt of entrees. Starters I had the corn, coconut soup with just the right amt of chili oil and citrus, so creamy and tasty, not overly rich. They serve a bread basket with the most perfect corn muffins and warm bread that had a bit of salt on it, all really good with the butter. I had the Blanc de blanc split that was good, coulda been colder tho. Husb had the ceasar which was delish!! Crunchy crisp bacon and he added anchovies. I had halibut special with curried red lentils & carrot also broccolini; fish topped with curly crisp threads of sweet potato. Very delicious plate, all was seasoned just right. Husb had a menu item, potato crusted grouper, came with the most delicious mashed potatoes and green beans in the most delicate ber blanc. He said the potato crust was shredded potatoes that were crisp. I also had a glass of suncere..yumm. Dessert, we had to do it lol, soft, chocolatey brownie with vanilla ice cream, a perfect ending. We were so full it was crazy, we did enjoy every bite! Great place, loved it and Robert made sure all was perfect. Can't wait to come again! If I had to pick at anything, it'd be hard maybe the ceiling tiles in the dining room need replacing they didn't match the casual elegance of everything else. Great food, great place!

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing! The service was wonderful! Long day of driving and stopped in for dinner and left with an experience! Awesome! Tip go around 8-830p if you don't have reservations! It's worth it!

Yelp
Second time here, I'm an out of towner. Every plate is delicious, lobster soup is tasty with real chunks. Service was top notch, manager came around often. Romantic setting, they need to work on the outdoor fans/mosquitoes, other than that, very nice.

Christa G.

Yelp
I've been to The Tides several times and 10/10 highly recommend!! The filet is always cooked to perfection!!

Sue G.

Yelp
Staff was incredibly kind and attentive. The food mostly good - I had a fish special that was great, the fried shrimp appetizer was very good as was the key lime pie. The conch fritters were not very good though so I suppose some items are hit or miss. I also think the interior could be spruced up a little - it was very outdated. But a very good option for dinner in the area with lovely staff.

C W.

Yelp
Our family has been coming to Tides for years when visiting Vero Beach and it is always an awesome experience. We ordered the Potato Crusted Grouper and Filet Mignon along with the Irish oatmeal cake for dessert and everything was perfect. It is the best fine dining restaurant in Vero Beach in our opinion and a reason why you typically have to call for a reservation well in advance during peak season.

Frederick H.

Yelp
Gourmet food, outstanding service. Very nice ambience. We go every week. Amy the manager is sweet and efficient Respect her extremely
google avatar

Lala C.

Yelp
We had visited a few years ago and this place was one of the reasons why we decided to visit the area again. This time there was an expanded amount of outdoor seating in the main restaurant and then another option next door. We called a few weeks in advance for reservations and we fortunate to score a high top table in the main bar area that afforded a very nice cross breeze. To me, the inside dining options is a bit dark - tables were still spread apart. The fresh bread and muffins were still a welcome start. We had to return the Caesar salad since we asked for it sans bacon. ( bacon on a Caesar??) Also asked for extra dressing, it was very lightly dressed. Service was very attentive and team focused. I ordered the potato encrusted grouper and it was yummy. Hubby devoured his salmon dish with relish. For our anniversary dinner, the Tides did not disappoint! After dinner, we enjoyed strolling around the Vero shops to burn some calories! Nice wine by the glass list too.

Stephen N.

Yelp
Bad Management not contrite. Here many times over years. Food not edible. My fault? No staff to complain to. Good luck

Pam D.

Yelp
Food was excellent, we had the pan seared potato crusted grouper, it was very tasty. Service was very attentive. Restaurant was quaint. I would definitely return.

Jessica D.

Yelp
Great food and great service. Very pricey so be ready for that aspect. Both times I have been I was happy with my experience.
google avatar

Tania G.

Yelp
Amazing food, great service and fantastic ambience. There was a 3hr waiting time for a table so we sat at the bar. Telling all our friends about this place and returning soon.
google avatar

Yelp
Lovely dinner at a quaint restaurant. The owner and staff were great. In fact the owner personally checked in on us (party of 4) on a few occasions. I talked to her to set up the reservation which was for a client dinner. I'd say the daily special of tuna (entree) and the dessert were exceptional. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Denise A.

Yelp
This was our anniversary treat and was a great night! The food is wonderful, very friendly and efficient service. The owner/chef introduced herself to us at the bar and welcomed us, very nice. We knew we'd blow the budget and didn't care, and we did!
google avatar

Mia B.

Yelp
We celebrate our Valentines Dinner date and we really love the food we ordered the service is absolutely fantastic but you book ahead of time so you can sit outside with the view not inside we were sitting at the very end table inside and you cant see any view at all but hey we are satisfied on the food we ordered ,wish they will find a nice location along the ocean

Barbara G.

Yelp
The food was superb, the service impeccable, the ambience was relaxing and elegant. The veal scaloppine prepared with taste and presentation in mind. I look forward to returning and enjoying another fine dining experience.

Yelp
Yes had a delicious dinner & cocktail. Outside porch nxt time. Very noisy & busy table area. Bar is great too. Convenient parking if you're early.
