"The hotel’s primary restaurant, The Tiller, with floor-to-ceiling windows, offers sweeping views of the Atlantic from a cliff’s craggy edge. Taking down a lobster roll while watching the sunset has never been so luxurious." - Alina Polishuk

Excellent quality of food, best in class ingredients 👌🏼 and the view from the restaurant even better, the staff was very kind and helpful finding the best seats for us, they offered multiple options to make our stay pleasant. We will come back!

If nothing else—go for the view. This hotel restaurant has a fabulous view of the rocky coastline! Nothing more therapeutic than looking out to the crashing waves. The food was disappointingly average. The lobster for the lobster roll was generous, texture cooked perfectly but taste fell flat. The toasted brioche bun was a little soggy. The fries would have been perfect had they been hot. The cardamom crème brûlée was not strained so I had a small piece of formed egg remnant and the cardamom was just settled at the bottom and not mixed in throughout. Food alone would be a 2 but service and view increased rating.

Our first dinner of our honeymoon at The Cliffhouse was at The Tiller! The servers were extremely professional and attentive, and we thought they had a great menu here. My filet mignon was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was incredibly tender. The focaccia bread appetizer was nice and garlicky, though I could’ve used a bit more ricotta on the board. My husband enjoyed his scallops and lobster fried rice, and we shared a decadent chocolate cake topped with macerated strawberries. We had a perfect view of the ocean, and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer start to our vacation!

Beautiful views from your dining table overlooking the the rocky coastline! Lisa took amazing care of us at dinner, she's really fun and knowledgeable, she also sought us out when we came back to dine even when we were not in her area. Food is very good overall, a few items were hit or miss. Steamed lobster is great and they will take it all out of the shell for you, if you get a chance to have the lobster chowder, don't pass it up, they put crumbled bacon in it and it's fantastic! Shrimp cocktail was excellent, so were the oysters, but we did not like the Seafood Tower that had salmon on it and some crab spread, not the ideal items for this type of presentation. Solid breakfast and lunch, we worked with Cavane and he was amazing, very outgoing and positive. Bartenders are really great, special recognition to Zoe, Paolo, and Hector (he makes the best Paper Plane cocktail ever!). Finally, I just want to thank Wendy at the host desk, on our first night we randomly had some friends that were going to be in the area for 1 night, she was able to take our dinner party of 4 and turn it into 8 with no notice and no real availability in the restaurant.

A friend and I went for brunch and we are so happy we did! What an amazing experience. The food was literally perfect, the view was outstanding and the service was super friendly. After the meal, we walked around the property a bit which was so calm and picturesque.

We stayed at the Cliff House for four nights in mid September 2023 and ate both breakfast and dinner here several times. The views are breathtaking if you get a table by the window, but even if you don't the restaurant has a very nice upscale ambience. No, this is not inexpensive, but the food and service are first rate, plus the chef was very accommodating to my wife's food allergies and prepared a specially made dinner for her more than once. All the food was delicious, fresh, and nicely presented. Portion sizes were very good. Prices were on par for other upscale restaurants we have gone to. We have vacationed in this area for years and have dined at many other restaurants. For fine dining this is definitely one of the better places.

Wow what a view. The ambiance is incredible and the seats were super comfy. The food was good but not great. The pork chop was of excellent quality but the sauce that came with it did not taste great in my opinion. The cranberry compote was very bitter. The scallops and lobster fried rice were also good but not great. The fried rice felt like it had been sitting and the sauce that came with was straight up mayo. Basically they need to get their sauce game on par with their food quality. We will be back and had a great evening, the mocktales were incredible.

Wonderful. I actually had the chance to visit the BOH...absolutely spotless. Very professional and well run. If only every restaurant could maintain these high standards.

Yelp
I went here for lunch with my family on a weekend in September. We were seated by the window, which was perfect for soaking in the stunning views during our meal. Food: With six of us, we ordered two chef boards to share. They came with a variety of cured meats, farm stand cheeses, house jam, spiced nuts, coastal honey, crostini, and crackers. Everything was fresh and flavorful, but I couldn't get enough of the honey! For mains, some family members had the lobster roll and Cliff Fish n' Chips, and everyone agreed they were both excellent. Since I'm not big on seafood, I opted for the wagyu burger, and it was one of the best burgers I've had. The bacon habanero jam added a fantastic layer of flavor. The only thing I'll mention is that since we were there for lunch, we had the all-day menu, which didn't have as many options as breakfast or dinner. I'll definitely have to come back to try those! It's also not the cheapest meal but the views and service make it worth the price. Service: Our server was super friendly, especially since two people in our group were late due to traffic. We never felt rushed, and they let us take our time with the appetizers before ordering, and even before everyone had arrived. It wasn't too busy that day, so the food came out pretty quickly, which was nice. Ambiance: The outdoor views were absolutely breathtaking, and the indoor seating was also really comfortable.

Yelp
Reviewing again but as a resort guest this time. Girls' weekend at the Cliff House and we ate 3 meals here (breakfast, lunch, casual dinner in the lobby area). Many options, some classic some more unique. Food was always yummy, staff also welcoming and helpful! Standouts are Lisa and Casey in the dining room - in fact, we can't wait to come back to see them again! Vibes are 10/10. Highly recommend the green juice, burger and espresso martinis!!

Yelp
We had an outstanding experience at The TIller restaurant. I had made a note on our reservation that it was our anniversary, and our server greeted us by name and wished us a happy anniversary. I love attention to detail like that, it made us feel special. The restaurant, bar, and the whole hotel - everything is beautiful, elegant, but still comfortable. We were seated at a wonderful half-round table, so we were able to sit next to each other and both enjoy the view of the ocean. The ambiance can't be beat. Our server even dimmed the light for us once we had finished reading the menu. The bread appetizer is a MUST - it was literally the best bread I've ever had. Its a house baked focaccia served with a whipped butter, whipped ricotta, and soft roasted garlic cloves. I had a cocktail that was beautiful and tasty, I think it was called the Scarlett. I had the filet and my spouse had the short rib. Both were incredible. We shared the cardamom creme brulee for dessert, and our wonderful server added a chocolate with "congratulations" written on it, as well as complimentary prosecco. We had never been to the Tiller before, but we will certainly return for the simply amazing food, service, and atmosphere. One of the best meals we've enjoyed in some time.

Yelp
We have been here quite a few times and had a wonderful experience but this time left us feeling really disappointed. First, we came as a family, I requested a high chair with our reservation but we were not brought on promptly. Second, we requested the kids meals out with the soup. However, our meals took an addition 30 minutes. In total, we waited one hour for a lobster roll and fish and chips. The couple seated right before us was on dessert before we got our food. Third, the food was not good. The lobster roll was drowned in mayo, so much so that it was all I could taste. The fish and chips had cayenne pepper dumped on top. It was bizarre. Forth, I ordered two glasses of sangria and they both tasted completely different which was just strange. It left us feeling that even though they say they are family friendly and have a kids menu that they really are not. We came here on our honeymoon a few years ago and now we don't know if we would come back.

Yelp
We had breakfast and dinner at this restaurant twice during our visit. The service was outstanding- friendly and helpful. Beautiful views from every window over the ocean. Very comfortable. My breakfast of Cinnamon + Vanilla Overnight Oats, house blueberry jam, coastal honey, chia seeds, and almond milk was delicious, as was my second breakfast of a Quinoa Grain Bowl with poached eggs, spinach, fennel, roasted tomatoes, and feta. Partners New England Benedict of english muffin, maple brined cornmeal bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise did not disappoint. Our dinners were also outstanding. Of note local Salmon on a bed of creamed corn, roasted peach salad, charred scallion oil, fried capers -- and the Chatham Cod with fingerling potatoes, saffron broth, mussels, and clams. This kitchen knows what they are doing! Expensive but it is a resort and this food was excellent.

Yelp
My husband and I love the Tiller restaurant at the Cliff House in Cape Neddick! The ambience of the entire experience is beautiful, breathtaking, and a five star experience! Service is great, professional, and friendly! Food is amazing! I love their brunch and lunch menu. Looking forward to trying their dinner menu sometime in the future. Drinks are always great! Once you are finished with your dining experience, you can enjoy a beautiful walk around the gardens or explore the cliff side. We love the Tiller restaurant!

Yelp
Though online reservations weren't available, we took our chances with an in-person visit and only 2 other tables had guests. I was happy to see so many gluten-free and vegetarian options on the menu. I will say, I found the prices to be quite fair compared to many restaurants in downtown Ogunquit (I paid $13 for 3 tiny spring rolls at a Thai restaurant for dinner last night) but $17 for 3 large gluten-free pancakes here. The pancakes were delicious and my latte was excellent. The service was lackluster but the views were our main draw. I certainly recommend it if you want to enjoy the cliff walk, breakfast and views.

Michelle M.

Yelp
We love the cliff house. Had brunch at the Tiller with our 3.5 year old. It was a perfect fall weather and the view is as stunning as it could ever be. We ordered the espresso martini and regular brunch items. Food portion is big. Our daughter loves the Mac & Cheese. There was a little hiccup that our server could not figure out the order of the non alcoholic mudd slide for our daughter. Then the manager came the rescue. Would've been a 4.5 experience but the manager Raymond made it right

Susan W.

Yelp
Outstanding breakfast!! Fresh, delicious and ample portions. Great service. Coffee was $6.00 which is outrageous so we opted for the Bloody Mary - $12.00 and so worth it Gorgeous views.

Yelp
We ate here once during our stay, deciding last minute to eat dinner instead of going into town. Positives were we were seated promptly next to the warmth of a fireplace and our server was very nice. Given its location, with big open windows that look out over the water on one side, the view is hard to beat if you ate here during the daylight hours. Negatives: unfortunately the quality of the food at this restaurant was not in line with how high end the hotel is. My wife being vegetarian opted to order 2 vegetable sides and another option as their menu was on smaller side, especially for vegetarians. Her root vegetables were not even close to cooked and after a while we did send them back stating they needed cooking longer and the server apologized and brought them back and they were really no more cooked than before when tried again and were barely edible. Our server was great, but upon seeing she barely ate any of these after sending it back, he should have comped us for this automatically. She had to order bread with a sort of herb butter that was very good and the best part of her meal. I ordered a burger, which came with fries and was overall good, but was just barely cooked enough for me after ordering it well done and seeing plenty of pink and the bacon was not crispy and was undercooked as well. If this meal was under $50 I would say fine, whatever, but we paid A LOT, especially when you add drinks, for a very mediocre meal. We didn't press the issues above due it being a special occasion and didn't want to make it more negative experience with such a nice server. I'd say go for drinks and the atmosphere but otherwise skip dinner here.

Sam S.

Yelp
Great service in the most beautiful setting. Sweeping views of the ocean with tasty Maine favorites. They decorate the restaurant and resort elegantly for the Christmas holiday. Definitely worth a visit.

Heidi C.

Yelp
We stopped here for a quick lunch before arriving at our final destination. Ended up ordering the Fish n Chips and a salad. Since neither one of us were that hungry, we decided to split both items. Our server asked if we wanted the chef to split the dishes for us, which we agreed to, never knowing that there was a $5.00 split plate charge on the bill. No where on the menu was that disclosed. Also, we both ordered lemon martinis. I guess the normal charge is $13 but to our dismay, the bartender used Tito's which incurred an extra $4 charge each. We were never asked what kind of vodka we wanted. Lastly, my husband asked for more dressing for the salad which our waiter brought him but that also was an extra $2 charge. it certainly is not the $ that we are upset about, it is the fact that they nickel and dime you on everything and definitely not transparent.

Yelp
Tiller restaurant is the "high end" restaurant of the Cliff House hotel and arguably Ogunquit. Don't let shiny objects and ocean views fool you! Great views but subpar food! The crabmeat croquettes were dry and flavorless. Staff was professional, courteous and offered to send out another order but why would I want a second helping of dry flavorless croquettes? Main entree of scallops and lobster fried rice was tasty and well prepared. The scallops were well seared and perfectly cooked! Side of roasted asparagus was well prepared too. Extra lobster tail add on was tough and chewy. Not worth it. Dessert was blueberry cheesecake and coffee. Cheesecake was pretty good.....coffee was served with no sugar option. Two stars overall. I was planning another dinner here on my last night. My plans have changed!

Tom S.

Yelp
Writing this review based on two negative experiences. Waitstaff is completely understaffed. We waited 45 minutes for a table after being told 20. Once seated we waited another 30 minutes for sever to come over and take our drink order. When the food finally came out, they informed one person in my party they didn't have what he ordered. This is over an hour after ordering. French fries were ice cold for everyone else. To get to the point, a simple lunch took over three hours. The neighboring table was so irritated they walked out without paying. We didn't do that but I wanted to. Won't be going back. Urge you to be very careful dining here. Shame, because the views and hotel are gorgeous. Tom. Boston

Yelp
By FAR my favorite brunch in Maine- the Tiller never ceases to amaze. Of course the views are impeccable, but the food is fantastic as well. Very hearty portions, the kindest most hospitable staff, and the grounds are so beautiful to walk around (even if you are not staying there). It is great this place accepts reservations as it does fill up fast. Highly recommend: - S'mores Pancakes - Smoked Salmon Platter - Grilled Salmon & Porkbelly Sandwich - Scarlet cocktail

Meredith D.

Yelp
Warning: food poisoning We came to stay at the cliff house for a one night getaway. Reviews of the hotel were great and we booked a reservation at the Tiller restaurant figuring it must be decent. Shortly prior to our reservation we realized yelp reviews weren't actually all that great but we figured we'd give it a try as it was a chilly, dreary night and we didn't feel like venturing out. Husband had hangar steak that come with polenta and broccolini. I had squash salad with salmon and we shared a side of asparagus. Husband gave his a 2.5 rating. Mine was similar. The asparagus we shared was undercooked. I had the sangria, my husband didn't drink. Service was good. We agreed it wasn't impressive and we probably wouldn't come back (except for maybe a simple breakfast). 6 hours later my husband wakes up acutely ill with stomach cramps and GI symptoms consistent with food poisoning. Better by AM. Needless to say we did not go again for breakfast. If we ever come back to stay we will avoid dining on site. Total bummer.

Rebecca K.

Yelp
This place is absolutely stunning. You feel like you're on the set of a movie! I sat at the bar for a skinny margarita. The bartender was so friendly and I really enjoyed him. At 5 was my dinner reservation. There was only one other table - a six top. I quickly ordered a glass of wine and the special tuna over pasta with olives. First of all, the 6 top quickly got all six dishes while I waited. 30 minutes later it arrived and it was lack-luster. No flavor. The only hint of flavor was from the olives. Three of them. I added much salt and nothing seemed to help. Not worth it

Wayne W.

Yelp
Had brunch menu items with five others. Food was well prepared and well presented. Menu is somewhat limited and mildly flavorful (even the spicy items). Brunch for six was $220. Service was good, friendly, and more formal than most. Facility is modern and airy with high ceilings and lots of windows. The view is spectacular. High black rock cliffs and the rolling ocean below.

Michael R.

Yelp
As others have said, this restaurant is all about the view, and that is worth at least a star. While service was also friendly and efficient it was hard to justify the cost for very average food. Compared to dining options in nearby Ogunquit, York, Kittery and Portsmouth, it just doesn't compare. We started our meal with salad and a chowder, which were good enough but simple and plain. We were really let down with the onion Focaccia bread service for $6. Served cold, and nothing at all like focaccia and had no onions, or flavor at all. You would be unhappy with this bread if it were brought to the table at no charge, but when charging for bread, one expects something better. The scallop entree had big beautiful scallops and the presentation was nice enough, but there was no wow, no great flavor to the lobster fried rice. To be clear, there was nothing bad, but there was no wow, no delicious. Simple, plain, and unremarkable. When entrees are $42, they should be a bit better. If it were not for the stunning view, this would be a 2 star dining venue.

Amy W.

Yelp
Best breakfast of my life. Benedict & lobster and proper English tea. Great staff and very polite service.

Eric S.

Yelp
Very confused by the middling reviews the Tiller has garnered. The view alone gets 3 stars, when you lay excellent food and attentive service - I don't know why some are complaining...maybe the prices? Anyway, my wife and I had the good fortune of lunch here a few days ago - and loved every minute. Beautiful Maine afternoon with some great food and drinks - hard to beat. We will be back for certain.

Sean W.

Yelp
Gorgeous hotel and dining room, the food and service however not so good. We stared with the Chartreuse board. The fruits were not fresh, seemed to be sliced a day ago. There was only one meat, the rest was cheeses, no mustard served, too much fruit. We then had the worst oysters while in Maine, they just didn't look or taste fresh. They were served to us in melted ice which was so strange. My lobster roll was very average, too many shells. Our server was nice, however she was forgetful and didn't check back in a timely manner for drinks, etc.

Jason B.

Yelp
I think the 3 star rating this place gets is a bit harsh though I'll give you pros and cons. Pros: unparalleled ocean views from atop a cliff. Nice atmosphere. The food is generally at least average and sometimes better. Cons: it's a hotel restaurant so it's going to be pricey. When I stay at cliff house, it's a nice convenient option for breakfast, lunch or dinner. When I don't, it's more a stop for drinks and the view.

Michael F.

Yelp
The Tiller Restaurant located inside the Cliff House has amazing views of the ocean and cliffs and a small bar if you wanted to have a couple of cocktails. When we booked our stay at the hotel months earlier, we made reservations for dinner and brunch so we wouldn't miss out. We had dinner on a very busy Thursday night. Luckily, we had reservations and they honored them on time. Our meal began with the Brussel sprouts which were delicious and cooked fresh. Seasoned to perfection with soy sauce and sea salt. Generous portion. Our entrees included the vegetable paella and the broiled haddock with risotto. I added chicken to my paella which was dry. My wife was satisfied with her haddock but mentioned she had better. Both portions were acceptable. The service for dinner was excellent and very friendly. It's expensive but the views were magnificent. We thought brunch was the better meal of the two. They honored our reservations on time. My wife ordered the Tiller breakfast which was two eggs, bacon, potato, and a blueberry crumb cake. I ordered the three egg omelet with mushrooms and tomatoes, potatoes, and a blueberry crumb cake. Everything was excellent. As coffee snobs, we would say the coffee was very good. Service was very friendly but very slow. The prices were very reasonable for brunch which was surprising.

Tony V.

Yelp
Great views. Great ambiance Service is definitely a little slow and not the friendliest staff i have seen. Drinks are weak. Menu is decent. My steak was good. My wifes salmon was not. Overall, just a 3 star

Sharon C.

Yelp
Not a bad thing to say- perfect environment, wonderful food and a Bloody Mary and fabulous service !

Tex M.

Yelp
Great views, food was ok, drinks were amazing. Definitely a place to come if you're in the area.

Amir K.

Yelp
I had two breakfasts and one dinner in this restaurant. Food quality is excellent overall. Nice staff and lovely location with a gorgeous view of ocean. It's not a cheap one but you pay for good quality food and nice view.

Avery P.

Yelp
So disappointed. Was here last in 2021 and it was quite good. Yesterday tried it with two friends for lunch. What a difference. Two pre-meal cocktails, a Lemondrop, and a Margarita were so watered down we could not detect any alcohol and we sent them back. Server took them away and never returned with replacements. They were still on our bill at the end though. Food was inconsistent. Lobster/Corn chowder was a flavorless goo of potato starch. Grilled chicken added to a strawberry salad was so overcooked it could barely be cut with a fork and knife. Fish and chips dish was quite good however. After returning the cocktails our server disappeared and we did not see him again until the end of our meal. For an upscale resort destination this falls far short of what I would expect of the signature restaurant. Won't be back.

Lauren I.

Yelp
For the bar and breakfast: great food, generous portions, friendly service, and beautiful views. No complaints here!

Mercedes C.

Yelp
You guessed it: the view of the Atlantic takes center stage in this Ogunquit restaurant. To give you a little context, The Tiller Restaurant is the Cliff House's on-site restaurant. Hubs noticed their Brunch offerings online and off we came unannounced without a reservation. Hostess seemed pleasant. However, she mentioned because we aren't hotel guests, we couldn't sit for breakfast and had to wait til 11 when Brunch is opened to visitors. Rules are rules. Seating layout seems like you can catch breathtaking ocean views from any spot. I'm talking about the bluest ocean and a mind-blowing cliff drop. That alone is enough to satisfy me (well....not entirely but you get my drift). The food...we don't know- because we were here at 9am. But the scene? Unforgettable.

Larry H.

Yelp
Go for the million dollar view! It's a lovely dining room, smartly decorated with impeccable staff. Our waitress was so very gracious. The food is good. The Cliff house burger & fries for lunch was decent. Nubb's lobster roll was very fresh, although overly mayo'd for my taste. Certainly, the crashing waves on rocks steals the show here without a doubt.

Kim C.

Yelp
First of all, this is a gorgeous restaurant. It's worth it to try, just for the views. Also, the service was outstanding. We were going to eat here more often during our trip, but after breakfast and $100, we decided to skip further visits. We had blueberry pancakes. They have blueberry butter to accompany the pancakes. Unfortunately, they were cold, and had no flavor. The butter didn't melt, the cakes were underwhelming. We don't mind paying for great food. Here, you are paying for the view, period. Worth the visit, once.

Angela D.

Yelp
It's a no. Asked for the burger well with no pink. Was taking my first bite when the waitress asked how it was. I said fine because I hadn't even got into it yet. Saw the pink, did not eat it, and she offered no discount. So $24 plus tax and tips for fries.

Lindsay L.

Yelp
I'm unsure why this place has some bad reviews. They had great service and drinks. We enjoyed just sitting at the bar and getting dinner. I loved the mussels, highly recommend.

Joel S.

Yelp
Beautiful space with a drop dead gorgeous view. The service was excellent. The coffee was very good. We all had very good omelettes. The breads were amazing. My wife said the English muffin was the best that she had ever had in her life. The restaurant is expensive, but you're renting the space. Brunch/lunch is less expensive and the daytime view is amazing. Worth a trip.

Steph P.

Yelp
Visited the tiller for both breakfast and dinner during our stay at the cliff house. Both occasions we were very pleased. For breakfast we tried the egg whites and fruit along with the smoked salmon bagel. It came out in so latter in the shape of the state of Maine - cool detail! For dinner we had the scallops, salmon and incredible Maine mushrooms. Everything was so delicious! Our waiter Norman was very knowledgeable about the menu, made great recommendations and was highly professional. Not sure why so many bad reviews. I guess there are cheaper places off the grounds nearby by I enjoyed being able to get great food on site at the cliff house. Highly recommend!

Nicole Z.

Yelp
I had very high hopes for this place. Really wanted to enjoy it, but it simply put was just not good. The mac and cheese was awful, no cheese just noodles and imitation crab. The lobster gnocchi was a whopping $60 and was fishy and gross. This place is what I call whipped cream on sh**. Service was garbage- waitress had 2 tables and barely checked in. Do not recommend. Will not be back. One positive point- Jana the bartender was fabulous. Drinks on point. Bar experience was great. Experience went downhill the moment we were seated at our table.

Shannon N.

Yelp
Come for the views! This restaurant has floor to ceiling Windows overlooking the water - it cannot be beat. However, the food is mediocre. We really like the scallops and mussels, but found the lobster roll to be lacking. Breakfast is overpriced but convenient when staying at the cliff house. The staff is great - we loved our waiter at dinner. He kept things lively and gave great recommendations. All in all, I recommend trying the food here if you are staying at the cliff house; however, if you are staying more than one big look into other restaurants in the Ogunquit area.

Ken W.

Yelp
Brussel sprouts appetizer was good Bell and Evans Chicken entree was deplorable. Chicken was overcooked and succotash was flavorless! My wife had lobster roll. Underwhelmed and over priced. Cheesecake came out. It was frozen!

Brandy N.

Yelp
Second time visiting The Tiller, both times staying at the cliff house. Wouldn't recommend other than for drinks/daytime views. Service was excellent. We were seated right near the gas fireplace and it was almost too toasty (should have dressed for summer weather!) but good ambiance. We went during Christmas break so there were a lot of crying children, which is a bit frustrating when your meal for two is $250+. I ordered a chef's "special" gnocchi which didn't include prices on the menu. The dish was around $60 (due to truffle and lobster, see photo) and was not worth the price. Shared a cheese board which was okay. Holiday cocktail was delicious!

Julie A.

Yelp
The food was very disappointing. The salmon and scallops had no flavor and were over cooked. The lobster fried rice was flavorless, dry, and the lobster was over cooked. The short ribs had some flavor from mascarpone polenta, but the meat it self was a bit dry. The cocktails were delicious, but we went for the food. Our waiter was off, he split water while pouring my friends glass and didn't even acknowledge it, just walked away. He also dropped my lime from my cocktail on to the table, picked it up with his hand and dropped it into my glass, definitely not the type of service you'd expect at what is supposed to be an upscale restaurant. Very disappointed

Carey P.

Yelp
Our 3rd or 4th visit to The Tiller for dinner and it did not disappoint. Of course the views are incredible but the service and the food is also fantastic. A great variety of not typical dishes for appetizers as well as main courses. Everything we had was delicious and beautiful. They even made Virgin fruit drinks for our kids just for fun. It's so nice to be able to walk over to this wonderful atmosphere restaurant for dinner and then walk back to your room afterward - that a meal of this caliber is available on site to the Cliff House. Everything was prepared perfect. If I had to complain, the table seated next to us had two children that I would guess were 5-7 years old and allowed them to run quite wild for the duration of the meal. One even knocked his chair over with him in it and landed on our table and my leg and foot - to give context that I'm not being a grumpy person. I've had kids and I get it - they can't learn how to behave without being given chances to learn what is and isn't appropriate behavior. But I'm surprised that no one from Cliff House asked the family to have their children remain seated for the meal at the dinner time hours of such a high end restaurant. Of course this is an anomaly and hasn't happened at any of our other experiences but training staff for how to graciously handle this may be useful. It persisted for our entire 1.5 hour visit.

Yelp
Great breakfast and incredible views. Had the crab and chorizo burrito. $22 but well worth it, big portion and very tasty.

Yelp
I had clocked the poor reviews of this place over the course of this summer so wasn't sure if it would be a good choice for our trip. On the last night at the Cliff House we wanted to eat on property so we could be in bed earlier so took a chance and were able to walk up and get a table despite them being booked. The one problem I had is that they didn't answer the phone all afternoon so I couldn't ask them about a reservation. The food was excellent - we got the specials: tomahawk ribeye, gnocchi, and whole lobster. They were perfectly cooked and getting the lobster lazy style was lovely so we didn't have to pick it out of the shell. Our server was excellent and helpful. I would go back for sure.

Yelp
A must try restaurant!!!!! Even with Covid restrictions my family and I felt safe. A huge shout out to our waitress her name is Galian. She was very nice and was able to accommodate to all of our needs. We had a call prior to the reservation stating we had to be done eating by 9 pm due to covid restrictions so we were well aware which was nice. Galian was nice enough to inform us about finishing up dining by nine. She explained that she didn't want to rush us and it was only to follow the guidelines. We decided not to get dessert because we did not think we had enough time to eat it before having to leave although Galian surprised us with an dessert for my parents anniversary. Very sweet. And all before 9pm. Definitely try this place out

Yelp
Food excellent. Everything else meh. Front of the house needs work - if you are running late just say so and apologize, don't try to somehow make it your customer's fault who has arrived on time for their reservation. The service is kind but very ineffective. After waiting 20 min to be seated we waited another 20 before we even got water service. My order arrived wrong. When it was brought back correct I had no silverware. Food is always outstanding but for this price point, I expect much much more.
