The Tilly Bar and Kitchen

Incredible food! We had the soup of the day for starters and it tasted amazing! We had a lamb rump as well as the fish pie and both were Incredible! It took a while to get served but it may be due to being busy which is understandable. Will definitely be coming back to enjoy more of the menu, thank you!

Alot of the local eateries seem to pride themselves on the atmosphere they have. This one seems to be no different, as it does have a very homely, warm feel. The food is good without being spectacular. The drink selection is quite good and is probably what will keep you here longer than expected.

Serving staff is a young teenage boy who’s not sure what was ordered & has to ask a few times. Pizza tasted good, so is the mixed salad. Would I come again ? Mmm..

First meal in Windermere, and we came here because of the positive reviews. Food did not disappoint and my son commented that the sea bream was as good as what he had in Portugal. The sharing platter and fish and chips were excellent too. Best part is that it is located right in the centre of town.

We visited The Tilly Bar twice during a recent visit to Windermere. Our first stop was with our dog and we chose to come in as it was advertised as dog friendly. This was mid-afternoon so we had two smaller dishes- I had loaded nachos and my wife had the Chorizo and prawns. On the second visit we came in the evening (without our dog) and decided to have the large sharing platter. All our dishes were decent portions and of good not great quality. We found the service and atmosphere to be friendly and relaxed both times. Overall this seems like a nice place to eat lunch or dinner, with or without a four legged friend.

Staff were lovely and very attentive. Food was okay. Paid £19 for ploughman’s cheese plate which had 2 small pieces of cheese followed by a loaf of breed to take up the plate space. More shocked at paying £9 for a coffee with baileys in, and £8.75 for a late with baileys. Most places charge £4-£6 so this was extortionate.

Visited today for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. Great service and the food was beautiful would definitely recommend. our furry friends welcome too 🐶🐶

Amazing food, great dog friendly environment and atmosphere. Service was fab on both occasions we visited in a week. Can't fault it.
