"Make Yourself at Home at The Timber House Meant to resemble a hanok (traditional Korean house), this sophisticated bar in the basement of the Park Hyatt is separated into three distinct sections, meant to represent different rooms in the house. Start with some couldn’t-be-fresher sashimi at the sushi and sake bar, then grab a martini at the cocktail bar, followed by a rare single malt at the whiskey bar, all while listening to mood-setting music emanating from the sleek grand piano. There are also vintage champagnes that need to be fitted into the schedule, so save room for some bubbly. 606 Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul"

visit here from time to time. Latest visit was for its 20yr anniversary special lunch box made by Japanese guest chef. Bento box was very pretty, hard to eat! We were surprised when the chef personally came out and explained Japanese culture and food. Food was also very delicious. Very well planned and coordinated event. Two thumbs up!

I want to give this place five stars off of atmosphere and vibe alone, but I can’t. The cocktails were subpar for such an amazing establishment. The menu had a lot of potential, but unfortunately execution wasn’t there. They were really bad.

We stayed at the hotel and learned about this place, so we tried it out during the happy hour on a Sunday night. It's a bar that offers some food options. The atmosphere was a dark-wooded jazz bar (more classic than modern jazz), which I loved. I'm not sure if they change the music styles during Fri./Sat. The happy hour menu is VERY reasonably priced. I'll go back anytime if I'm around that area during 5-7 pm. Perfect place to grab a few glasses of scotch or wine before dinner! For regular hours, just assume roughly double the US prices for drinks. Overall, a top-notch bar with classic taste!

A nice place to stay. Unfortunately they serve warm beer and forget food orders (Chicken Karaage took around 40 Minutes and was not as good as expected). Cocktails are quite good but very overpriced! Welcomedrink is a nice touch in general, but they serve everyday the same cucumber gin shot…

Recently dined at Timber House, bar and Japanese inspired dining. If you’re after a quieter bar to have a drink and/or food then I’d highly recommend the Timber House. Great selection of spirits and wine, highlights included the Park Hyatt Negroni which is made from a locally made Gin using local botanicals. The bartender on the night, Ester, was excellent. Very attentive and I’d highly recommend her signature cocktail, a spin on the side car cocktail which was excellent. Note there is a cigar bar section however this is in another area from the main dining / bar area so you don’t have to worry about smelling like smoke.

Had dinner here. The food was good but took over 2 hours to go through the courses! Found it difficult to order additional drinks... generally not great service.

It is a nice classy bar. The popcorn was good but the food and drinks were better. The bar service was spot on, they remembered everybody’s drink from the night before. They must have caching memory of guest’s preferences in their head until the guest checks out (kinda amazing). The lounge serves as their dining area as well so the seating was super versatile from normal dining tables, sofas, bar stools, and semi private areas.

Experience has improved a lot from what it was before. Used to be a staid, nouveau rich Gangnam show off hotel bar with little atmosphere but good drinks and overpriced, mediocre Japanese food items and sushi. The LP Vinyl theme and the redesign has made it a lot cosier with music. The selection could be varied a bit more than your 80s elevator music. I'd like to see them get modern LPs too. The Asian pub food choices are inspired. Delicious and more suitable for a bar atmosphere. Ladies will love the porkskin ddeokbokki. Take a pass on the rolled tamago - tasteless. Service is more attentive and servers seem happier than before. Am excellent place to get drinks in a PH environment you can trust.
