We stopped at The Tin Snug in Wallace and ordered a Paddy Melt, a Reuben, two deli sandwiches, a grilled turkey sandwich, and a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. Every bite was excellent—the bread was grilled to perfection, the cheese melted flawlessly, and the veggies were fresh and crisp. Each sandwich came with kettle-cooked chips and a snappy slice of pickle, which tied the meal together nicely. The atmosphere is just as memorable as the food. The place is decorated in a dark, unique way with thoughtful touches, and they even sell vinyl albums, which adds to the charm. Although we didn’t grab any this time, the coffee smelled amazing. It’s the perfect spot for a casual lunch when passing through Wallace—great food, friendly vibes, and plenty of character. Highly recommended!

Absolute gem! The food is so delicious, I guarantee you will be thinking about this place for a long time if you cannot access it readily after your visit. The Classic Reuben is a star but we can say for sure the Irish cheesesteak will blow your tastebuds away with its flavorful mix! I really wish I could take this place home with me.

We are on a cross-country road trip and stumbled upon The Tin Snug. This, by far, has been hands down, the BEST breakfast food and coffee since we left Michigan. We had eggs, toast, red skin potatoes, and coffee. I was about to ask for salt and pepper since there wasn’t any on the table but, no need! It was seasoned to perfection. The toast was grilled, the potatoes (with onions and peppers) were so tasty and were not greasy or overdone. The coffee was delicious and strong, just what we needed before getting back on the road. The atmosphere is contemporary but also cozy. It was fun to be able to see breakfast being prepared. The bathroom is nicely decorated and so clean. At the back of the café is a vinyl shop with loads of great music to choose from. The staff was friendly and we had an enjoyable chat with one of the owners. This was our first stop in Idaho and it was a welcomed one. If we were locals, we’d be regulars. I have rarely ever been moved to write a review, but really felt the need to after this visit. Thank you, Tin Snug for the sustenance and ambiance. Bravo! 👏

Food was excellent. Service was friendly and prompt. Atmosphere was above & beyond. Historical building turned into a perfect blend of coffee, food & moody record shop. The attention to detail and effort by the proprietors to make every guests experience the best is noticeable. The vibe is awesome! And if you’re a fan of music or a vinyl enthusiast or collector, a "must-see" stop in Wallace. Great Playlist going during the meal and an excellent vibe! Highly recommend for anyone wanting coffee, breakfast or a unique experience.

Cool little coffee shop with really good bites to eat as well as good coffee. The coffee is dark, but well rounded. Oh and they are well mannered dog friendly.

I've come in here a few times and have always had a great experience, the reason for the review is that today I had maybe the best sandwich I've had in my life - the Irish cheesesteak. Wonderfully seasoned, great portion, excellent price - this is what other sandwiches should be compared to and is definitely something to be proud of. Service here was great as always, and it is a very cool place, but if you're in town and have never had an Irish cheese steak before, that should be the only reason you need.

Google
Amazing place. Tried gravy and biscuits for the first time and was totally surprised…loads of flavour and a serve that was definitely enough for two. Ava made me a great cup of tea and suggested we browsed the the vinyl selection at the back of the cafe which we did for about half an hour….purchased a few gems and off we went completely satisfied. If you’re ever in the great town of Wallace be sure to give this place a visit.

Google
Awesome cafe with simple but delicious food. Plus stellar coffee with alternative milk options. Extremely welcoming atmosphere with attentive and helpful staff. Of course it’s also a super cool record store! Any music lover will definitely enjoy this stop. . As someone with a disability it’s nice to see such an accessible space. There is no lip on the front door and the sidewalks leading up to the building have cutout ramps. There is only street parking but it’s rarely hard to find a spot on the same block in my experience.

Yelp
If you like coffee and you like vinyl records, this is the place to go. Ice cream is also an option here. Stopped in for a weekend retreat. Met the owners. A classy couple from the NW with a great take on life...Just Send It! Good things will happen! We will be back to grab a Reuben sandwich!!!

Yelp
Great little coffee shop with fantastic food. Check out the bathroom, the pictures are worth it. The baked goods are what brought my son back, and I was happy they did.

Yelp
I had a great grilled turkey sandwich with an iced tea. I was visiting from Washington, where the first Tin Snug opened, and was happy to make the trip. I also had an ice cream flight and that was so much fun! Atmosphere is super cool, and staff are great.

Yelp
Amazing little spot! Super Good food, hot coffee of your choice served with a smile in a rustic setting with 80s music playing softly. They also have a large variety of 80s vinyl for sale along with hoodies shirts, and other swag. Perfect way to have breakfast or lunch in a comfortable setting.

Yelp
Great coffee and amazing food! The food is all freshly prepared with good portion sizes. They offer half size portions as well on certain menu items. Staff is friendly and kind. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Tin Snug was a VERY pleasant surprise. My wife & I were driving from Glacier National Park to Spokane -- we wanted to stop somewhere along I-90 for a quick lunch. Tin Snug was the first "cafe" to show up on Google Maps in northern Idaho. The soup (tomato bisque) and turkey sandwich were DELICIOUS. The staff was friendly. (and prompt) The decor was fantastic. The record shop was extremely unexpected:) I'm into some off-the-wall bands. There were records here I can't get at home. (Nashville...) Couldn't bring vinyl safely back on the plane but I will be watching their merch list for some must-haves...

Yelp
Really enjoyed the wall art, bathroom art, and style of this coffee shop/bakery/vinyl record/restaurant. Also, so glad it was open! Soup of the day was corned beef, potato, sauerkraut- perfect for a rainy day. All great flavors and ingredients. Great brat!

Yelp
The Wife and I needed a drive. We used the 22nd anniversary of our first date to justify it. We left the Tax Deduction with his video games and headed out to the car. Queue sad looking dogs at the window. Don't look back!! We knew we wanted to eventually end up at an ocean. Any one would do. So we plotted a route north and then west to Raymond, Washington and south to Long Beach and Astoria. Coming into Pe Ell we decided we needed a break for something to drink and a restroom. We spotted the Tin Snug, it looked cool, so we stopped. We were not three steps in the door and were hit with just the neatest vibe that the place carries. Then we saw the menu and "double smoked bratwurst" leapt up and caught our eyeballs. I could eat a little something. The Wife ordered her caffeine fix and splurged on a fancy root beer. After our pit stop (very clean bathrooms!) we sat and soaked up the atmosphere of the place. The food came out quick. I ordered mine with sauerkraut, the wife with grilled red onions. First bite and I was just taken aback by the freshest sauerkraut I have ever had. The brats were epic and just the thing to fuel us on the rest of our journey. From now on The Tin Snug is a must stop on our adventuresome travels, and may even be the reason for some creative detours.

Yelp
Wow, don't pass by Wallace without stopping here! It's a cozy spot with a vintage feel, and the food is incredible. I had the quiche and apple coffee cake and moaned out loud. Excellent coffee and service. I dropped off kids at Lookout to ski and came here to work on my computer for the morning. So glad I did! I'll be back!

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast and could tell right away it was busy. You have to order from the front, and we sat in line for 10 minutes without moving up a single position. The same gal who was taking orders was immediately making coffee, and in the 10 minutes we were in there I only saw maybe two orders come out. There was no where left to sit anyways, so we left without ever being greeted or spoken too.

Mary S.

Yelp
This was a nice surprise. We pulled off I-90 in search of pastries on our way to Portland, and found this place. The pastries were great, and I loved the vibe of this place. My only complaint is that ordering a pastry to go took 45 minutes. I hope to return one day when I have time to sit down and try the waffles.

Yelp
Good food and coffee I'll be back in downtown Wallace. When is the best coffee bar food to have recommend coming in sitting back relaxing having a beer or coffee listening to the music with a play on vinyl records awesome atmosphere awesome motors keep up the good work.

Yelp
An excellent choice if you are interested in amazing food freshly prepared with quality ingredients!! The menu is not huge and as a result your food is not prepared until it is ordered. We ordered different menu items, my wife the chicken salad sandwich and me the cheese steak standwich (new item not appearing on the pictured menus). The flavors were fabulous!!! The service is friendly, pleasant and truly felt as though she cared about our opinion of the food. The setting is clean, relaxed and comfortable. I'm sure there are other good places in Wallace but if you only have a chance to eat one place... The Tin Snug gets my vote!!!

Mike T.

Yelp
Incredible food, and very friendly service. You will definitely get filled up. I had the bacon brat, and it was delicious. The Reubens looked and tasted fantastic!!! Definitely recommend. Brian takes the time to make sure it's prepared how he would want it himself. They brew ice tea and that's very important. Great eats in the front and a true re ord store in the back!!

Christy G.

Yelp
We love this place! Great food and friendly service! You'll never regret stopping in at The Tin Snug when you're in Wallace! Breakfast and lunch served with a smile. Not a common breakfast and lunch, they go over and above! Great record selection too! Just a very fun place to be in the world!

Yelp
Very generous portion sizes, great ambience, and great food. And garlic lovers REALLY need to go for the garlic tater tots! Fantastic break on your way down Highway 6 if your heading to the beach, or just a nice drive in the country. I'll definitely be back. A lot.

Yelp
We stopped in on our way home from camping at the coast and boy were we pleased with our sandwiches! We usually get 2 different kinds and share them (if there is a reuben on the menu that is one of the kinds we get) we liked both but there was just something extra special about the roasted turkey that we both preferred that one over the reuben...and my bf doesn't usually like poultry! We felt bad about not ordering a drink too but we don't have many cupholders and our car was full of water bottles! Would definitely stop again!

Yelp
We just stopped for ice cream on a hot summer day but I gotta tell you, this place is cute as a button & there is not much else in this tiny town so you better stop in here and make sure they make it through the pandemic! They are putting in a really attractive outdoor seating area but it's not ready yet so for now there are just 2 little bistro tables outside. We will definitely try them for coffee or a meal next time.

Yelp
Great coffee, ice cream, and tots. Soups and sandwiches too. Drive through ready makes travel on hwy 6 better.

Yelp
We found this place by accident trying to find a stop to use a restroom. What a lovely family owned restaurant. My son and I ended up ordering Jalepeno Cheddar dog to eat and Pistachio Cherry Chocolate ice cream for dessert. Both were delicious but the ice cream was super good. The owners were also very nice and friendly.

Yelp
What a wonderful feeling within and solidly very good food and beverage offerings. The family that created this inviting eatery are so gregarious and fun to talk with. I drove 3 hrs from Bellingham to have another one of their Reubens. If you are going thru Pe Ell this is a must stop.

Yelp
We went out for a drive and found this adorable spot in Pe Ell. Located right off highway 6, this is a bright spot on a lovely scenic drive through a gorgeous part of Wa. We tried a full pound of glorious Cajun tots and a Bavarian brat on a bun with cream cheese, sauerkraut, and fried onions. This place is well known and loved by locals as word of mouth travels far here. Great drink selection as well to enjoy! If you are out for a drive or on the way to the coast this is a must stop. The atmosphere is fun and inviting and is great for any age!

Yelp
Really cute place with good service and delicious food. I had a wonderful salad with grilled veggies, sunflower seeds, and feta. Meanwhile, I was super jealous of my husband's Reuben sandwich. But don't go thinking I was all healthy and stuff... we also shared some tasty tater tots.

Yelp
Went for drive and found this amazing place to stop in PeEll! The food is as fabulous, drink selection excellent and service fantastic! So glad we stopped and you will be to! Whether you need a quick trip to a new place or you are on your way to or from the coast the Tin Snug is just what you need.

Yelp
I mentioned them in another review so I figured I should add one here. I was nearby camping and came to town for a bite to eat. After my first choice turned out to be an anti-mask establishment, I went here. And I'm glad I did! I got a reuben sandwich and the soup of the day, broccoli cheddar. Both were very good! Large portions, enough for leftovers. The service was nice but somewhat slow--however, that to me indicated that the food was being prepared fresh so I didn't mind. Cute establishment and they do require masks.
