We stopped at The Tin Snug in Wallace and ordered a Paddy Melt, a Reuben, two deli sandwiches, a grilled turkey sandwich, and a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. Every bite was excellent—the bread was grilled to perfection, the cheese melted flawlessly, and the veggies were fresh and crisp. Each sandwich came with kettle-cooked chips and a snappy slice of pickle, which tied the meal together nicely. The atmosphere is just as memorable as the food. The place is decorated in a dark, unique way with thoughtful touches, and they even sell vinyl albums, which adds to the charm. Although we didn’t grab any this time, the coffee smelled amazing. It’s the perfect spot for a casual lunch when passing through Wallace—great food, friendly vibes, and plenty of character. Highly recommended!

Absolute gem! The food is so delicious, I guarantee you will be thinking about this place for a long time if you cannot access it readily after your visit. The Classic Reuben is a star but we can say for sure the Irish cheesesteak will blow your tastebuds away with its flavorful mix! I really wish I could take this place home with me.

We are on a cross-country road trip and stumbled upon The Tin Snug. This, by far, has been hands down, the BEST breakfast food and coffee since we left Michigan. We had eggs, toast, red skin potatoes, and coffee. I was about to ask for salt and pepper since there wasn’t any on the table but, no need! It was seasoned to perfection. The toast was grilled, the potatoes (with onions and peppers) were so tasty and were not greasy or overdone. The coffee was delicious and strong, just what we needed before getting back on the road. The atmosphere is contemporary but also cozy. It was fun to be able to see breakfast being prepared. The bathroom is nicely decorated and so clean. At the back of the café is a vinyl shop with loads of great music to choose from. The staff was friendly and we had an enjoyable chat with one of the owners. This was our first stop in Idaho and it was a welcomed one. If we were locals, we’d be regulars. I have rarely ever been moved to write a review, but really felt the need to after this visit. Thank you, Tin Snug for the sustenance and ambiance. Bravo! 👏

Food was excellent. Service was friendly and prompt. Atmosphere was above & beyond. Historical building turned into a perfect blend of coffee, food & moody record shop. The attention to detail and effort by the proprietors to make every guests experience the best is noticeable. The vibe is awesome! And if you’re a fan of music or a vinyl enthusiast or collector, a "must-see" stop in Wallace. Great Playlist going during the meal and an excellent vibe! Highly recommend for anyone wanting coffee, breakfast or a unique experience.

A very quirky, unusual experience as a visitor to Wallace, ID. First, the limited food here was excellent. I had a half order of biscuits and gravy, which was loaded with outstanding ground sausage. My wife had ham and cheese quiche which I tasted and it was marvelous. Service, on the other hand, came up short with the server/cashier chatting endlessly with friends and passersby while we waited to place an order. The crowning jewel of our experience was a visitor's (not a customer) two dogs jumped up on our table while we were eating trying to take our food! Everyone in this place had their dogs with them. Sharing this restaurant space was a creepy used record store that played some strange stuff. There were also just as many people wandering through the place socializing and gawking as there were customers--hard to get comfortable.

Cool little coffee shop with really good bites to eat as well as good coffee. The coffee is dark, but well rounded. Oh and they are well mannered dog friendly.

We had great expectations for this place with the good reviews. For $120 order, we walked away extremely disappointed. There was one gal behind the counter who was responsible for taking orders and making all the coffee. There isn’t just regular black coffee so 4 of us order the pour overs. We sat down at the only table big enough for 6 ppl and waited. And waited. And waited. Our coffee finally came after at least 20 minutes. While we waited, we fought off the flies. The coffee was good, strong. Then we waited and waited, probably another 30 minutes for our food. Coffee gone. No free refills. The food finally came. My son’s overheard eggs were over medium. They told us at the counter they can’t do scrambled eggs because they have a flat-top grill. Um, what? That doesn’t make any sense. My parents over easy eggs were over medium. The waitress didn’t know the difference and obviously the cook didn’t either. It’s like they only knew how to make one type of eggs. I got the banger breakfast-it was supposed to come with peppers and onions-there were none. It also came with potatoes. My mom ordered a side of potatoes. The potatoes were hard! As if they had just cut up a raw potato and put it on the grill for a few minutes. None of us ate them. The only one that ate their food was my daughter, who ordered the waffle. The restaurant was not busy. We didn’t have to wait for a table or even wait to order. I do not recommend this place unless you have the whole morning to wait and you only get the waffle. Disappointing.

Unfortunately our order took forever to come to our table. Not sure why because there were only a couple of tables with customers. How long does it take to cook eggs??My eggs were cold (I ate them anyway, would have sent them back but didn’t want to wait that long again. Definitely not the over easy that I ordered. The seasoned potatoes would have been great if they had been cooked more! They were still hard and centers were raw. Left pretty much the whole plate untouched. The toast tasted like it was buttered with old oil and not butter. The people were friendly enough, but the cook needs some training.
