The Tippling House

Fantastic place to visit. One of the best cocktail bar in Aberdeen hands down. We tried to go in the start of the night and Charlie told us in the most professional and polite way that there's no space even offered other location to try and ask to come later. We went back and she remembered us and got us seated. Samantha and Charlie was our main servers and honestly best customer service to the point I thought Samantha was a manager. She was helpful and knowledgeable. Joe is the man to make your cocktail quick and knows what he's doing 100 out of 10 will definitely be back.

Found this gem of a restaurant and bar while working in Aberdeen. The decor was fab and the service along with the food were excellent. They also had a great range of drinks on offer. This is one to definitely visit when in Aberdeen

The pepper saltzman was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. It wasn’t even one that caught my eye at first but I was having trouble deciding between all of the amazing-looking drinks and asked our waitress for help. She was extremely knowledgeable and gave great descriptions of all the drinks. We were planning to stay for 1, maybe 2, drinks, and instead stayed for 3 plus the 3 for 2 deal on small plates—all were delicious, especially the fried chicken bao buns.

Was here early afternoon for cocktails. As it was early it was quiet. Not all the food menu was available so we didn't eat. Cocktails were great. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks.

Firstly. Service: phenomenal, was greeted instantly, kind and soft spoken server and our water jug was refilled when it wasn’t even empty. The way my jaw dropped at the level of sophistication this place has (even at almost 1am). Please come here is your unsure as I could not recommend more. Furthermore the actual drinks here are delicious and well thought out, plus, the mixologists know what they’re on about here. I referenced a drink from a video game and one of the bartenders knew what is was, told me and said he could make it if I wanted. 6 stars!!!!

Great little hidden speakeasy tucked away on Belmont. Stumbled upon it and loved the atmosphere. The £10 signature cocktails are amazing and well thought out and balanced. Had 3-for-2 small plates with a great variety : had the fritters, bao, and poutine. Evan and Charlie (Charlotte) were friendly, attentive and prooud of the establishment. Bonus points for being in a basement so the bathrooms are on the same level!!!

We have traveled to many a famous cocktail bar in our time. The Tippling House measures up to the likes of Death & Co in New York. Inventive cocktails with refreshingly unique pairings of base spirits, fantastic liquers, and various modifiers make for a wonderful imbibing experience. When paired with the excellent service and knowledge of libations the staff bring to the table, it makes the place special. Go here, have a drink, and be happy.

I am giving this five stars solely for introducing me to the combination of scotch egg and cullen skink. The food here is great, and it is also pretty reasonably priced for the sort of fare you are served. Courses aren't too huge, which means you can try a few (guessing this is why they are reasonably priced) I have tried quite a few things on the menu and usually ask for a variation of a cocktail i like, as an accompaniment, from the bar staff, who are all very good at putting a slightly different twist on something you are used to. The music is never too loud, or obvious, which is also good, and they keep the numbers down at the weekends to ensure the customers inside aren't too crowded. This place is a step in the right direction for Aberdeen.

Kitchen open late. You must try the Tipping House Seafood platter. Delicate cream based seafood chowder. Crawfish wonton are drops of heaven in your mouth good.

Really interesting cocktails and a great whisky list! Although not the cheapest place, the amount of quality makes this place good value. Not an everyday local but something quite special.
