We had a delicious breakfast at Top Shop today. The berry chocolate muffin was basically to die for! The açaí bowls were terrific. The service and atmosphere were also very nice. Highly recommend.

The cutest little cafe! The coffee was fantastic, and the pastries/cakes were absolutely delicious—especially the banana bread, which was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The staff were so lovely and friendly, creating such a warm and welcoming vibe. The setting is just perfect, with outdoor seating to soak up the sunshine while enjoying your morning coffee. I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be back!

Cosy little coffee shop that’s perfect for a stop if you’re in the area – you can even sit out on the grass! The menu has a great mix of breakfast and lunch options. Portions are generous, especially the fries which are perfect for sharing. I had the American Burger and my partner had the Steak Roll – both were absolutely delicious.

This place is AMAZING! Tucked in a cute area, it has some of the most incredible pastries. We had the ham & cheese and veggie croissant (super good, and I'm a french picky eater so trust me!). The lemon cake was great too. My favorite was their blueberry muffin. Haven't tried their chocolate croissant but if you do, let me know! Staff is super friendly as well. We will definitely come back here! (#ProTip: Doesn't have a ton of space for a sit down breakfast, although people sat on the lawn outside so it works!) #Update: I had to come back and add more information. I tried there burger today (beek, fish and shrimp) and they are just excellent. This place is a #MUST. Owner is french and surprised us by talking to my mom in French. Just incredible service and great food. I've been here 5 days, and I must have come here at least 4 times!!!

There are so many wonderful places in Byron Bay to eat…Top Shop is right up there with the best, if not the best🥇loved the variety of food (great coffee, tasty brekkie burger, fresh açaí and juices) loved the happy service (nothing is too difficult) loved the well presented and looked after cafe…even when hectic busy, it overflows onto the grass outside that adds another dimension to this perfectly positioned cafe🤙🏼🫶🏼

Super chilled and great value. We had the breaky burgers and they were amazing, super tasty and non-greasy and packed with yummy filling & hash brown. Friendly service and down to earth vibes 😀

Came once for lunch and the burgers and matcha were solid! Came again for breakfast and the mango smoothie and coffee were amazing!! Staff was so friendly, super easy to find a spot to sit, and the ambience was great. Would’ve gone back again if we had more time!!

Fantastic breakfast options up on the outskirts of Byron Bay. The coffee drinks are great, and the service folks all helpful and cheery.

Yelp
I was fortunate enough to stay around the corner from the Top Shop. Made it very easy to pop in for coffee in the mornings. The actual shop looks like a house with indoor & outdoor seating. Many good breakfast items to choose from including the yogurt & the pastries. Very famous Byron coffee shop so definitely stop by at least once on your visit.

Yelp
I'd give it 5 stars for the taste of the food and great Byron Bay atmosphere: families, kids, dogs, couples, singles, friends all casually hanging out. However, despite food being good and Byron Bay being pricey, food is truly overpriced here. 15 AU$ for sliced avos on toasted bread with an egg sunny side up and a slice of lemon really is way over the top. Plus, I'd appreciate an effort for the environment: yes, the dished are paper, but they still create waste. Real dishes and cutlery would be a better choice from my point of view. Staff are friendly.

Yelp
Always filled with a local crowd, which I think is a great sign. Top shop for relaxed, delicious fare. Go there for a breakfast catchup, take your food (all served in takeaway containers) and eat it in a spot on the grass in the sun, or on one of the communal tables. Best acai I have had in Australia by far!

Yelp
The Top Shop is another highly recommended cafe for the best breakfast and the best coffee in Byron Bay. However our experience differ. We enjoyed the laidback vibes with a quick burger for lunch. I thought The Top Shop burger was really tasty and better than the one I had in the Main Street Burger Bar, however my partner disagreed and thought the patty was flavourless. Anyhow, I thought the burger size was a little small for $15 and the bun wasn't soft enough. The little paper tray and plastic cutlery also made eating hard to manage as we sat on the uncomfortable high stool with not much space around us. The coffee was also a slight letdown, it tasted ordinary to me.

Yelp
Probably the best flat white of a dozen I had during a week in Byron. They provide blankets if you want to sit on the grassy area outside and enjoy the day. Nothing this pure could exist in America.

Yelp
What a great little "hole in the wall". I didn't find this place in my guidebook and it's in the middle of the neighborhood a few blocks from the main shopping and eating area, but wow was it busy! This is definitely a local hot spot for breakfast or brunch and from the looks of the foods can see why. All the pastries look absolutely delicious, the cold pressed juice looks refreshing and everything on the menu sounded awesome to me. I was tempted to try EVERYTHING, but I came with a mission. Now I am in love with acai bowls. We have a bunch of places in California that compete with one another to be the best so the quality is really good. I have a favorite place in my hometown that tops the other nearby and tops the one near my university. I also have one in Hawaii that I love because of all the fresh tropical fruit. So I am the type that expects some pretty fancy acai bowls with lots of different fruits and flavors. When I saw the picture on yelp of this bowl and how highly regarded it was, I was confused. It is a bowl full of the acai with one strawberry and half a banana and a few blueberries with a bit of granola. How could this even compare to my tropical fruit ones? Well it absolutely blew me away on my first bite. The flavor of this acai is so powerfully sweet you'll think you went to acai gelato yogurt heaven. The sweetness is stronger than any acai bowl I've ever had. I definitely agree with the other yelper that they probably use the frozen acai rather than the powder and it's obvious. I mixed in my fruit and granola and was taken to a world full of natural sugar. There's not a lot of seating so sit at the big square table and get ready to sit next to people or get it takeaway. That's one of the bummers. But they have outside seating (limited) and magazines you can read if you desire. The service was really nice even though it was busy. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone who enjoys acai bowls or loves breakfast foods. The locals seem to enjoy it and that's key when looking for good food. If I'm ever back in Byron I will come back and explore the menu more while still getting my acai bowl. It was the perfect after sunrise hike treat. I will still enjoy my tropical fruit bowls, but for the pure taste of the frozen acai, this is THE place to go.

Yelp
Great fish burger, good produce and coffee. Juices great. Tucked away and very popular. Byron pricey though. $15 salad and burger. Food excellent though and staff great.

Yelp
I really love this place! It's away from the main street in a nice relaxed area. Very convenient on your way to the lighthouse or the beach. I went here twice. Ordered the Mexican burger the first time. It was quite interesting, as the patty was made out of beans. Surprised me as I didn't look carefully at the menu, but still tasty. The next morning I returned and orders acai bowl after watching the sunrise at the lighthouse. Went with the classic, but I probably would have ordered a different one had I realized there were different style. The acai bowl wasn't as tart as I usually expect them to be. More on the sweet side. Delicious nonetheless. Prices tend to be on the higher side for what you get, but it's understandable when you see how environmentally friendly they are. Everything from the spoons to the toilet paper in the bathroom is eco-friendly. That on top of the lovely decor of the place made it a place I'll highly recommend

Yelp
We found this place after some yelping for good joints on the way to Byron Bay. We were immediately struck with the sight of their acai bowls. The following day we found our way to the shop to grab a couple of bowls for breakfast. The presentation was great, but my immediate thought was - this is the smallest acai bowl I've ever had, and I've chased acai bowls all around Australia and the United States! Diving I to the bowl with a biodegradable wooden fork (nice touch), I was immediately hit with the sweetness of the acai and the richness of the granola! To the novice: there are different types of acai. There is the type that most places use in smoothies and bowls (eg Earth Bar in LA), and then there is the frozen type I used to keep in my freezer and eat like icecream. It's expensive but outstanding. I would put money on the fact this is the expensive home freezer stuff! MmmmMMMMmmm and the freshness of the strawberries and bananas was faultless. It's not a 5-star acai bowl because it cost $12.90 for literally half the volume of the popular $9.90 Earth Bar bowl. So I was left wanting more - I could smash 2 no problem. Having said that - I'll definitely be back. Friendly staff, great food, good atmosphere. Great work.

Yelp
This place needs to invest in an air con, or at least a few more fans! I'd heard from the locals that this place has awesome burgers, but in the sweltering heat as sweat was rolling down my back the thought of anything hot to eat was unbearable, so I opted for a yogurt bowl. It was jam packed with fresh berries, chia seeds, flax and almonds and was the perfect hearty and healthy breakfast. The coffee was also a standout- they get their beans local in Byron! It's a shame I missed out on what's supposed to be their signature dish, but I enjoyed what I had and would go back. It's a nice touch that everything is served in biodegradable containers and that they seem super conscious of the environment there (maybe that's the reason behind no AC?)

Yelp
I love his place. The staff are always so friendly and down to earth which is rare in Byron cafes. They make delicious coffee and healthy clean fresh food perfect for takeaway to eat on the beach or on the lawn. Best avoided at peak holiday times if you're not in a hurry but otherwise it's fantastic service and good all round

Yelp
Just arrived in Byron bay and went here for lunch. Great atmosphere and delicious food with kombucha on tap! We had the American burgers and they were great. An open beachy feel with very friendly staff. We will be going back for breakfast tomorrow morning.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite lunch spots. The American burger is delicious. I'm also hooked on the chicken panini. Coffee is great too. Awesome selection of delicious cakes and pastries. Go there. It's casual and yummy.

Amazing coffee and breakfast burger. Really cool vibe, very friendly. Great to sit outside and watch the locals come in and out. A real Byron experience.
