Little gem with great atmosphere, service and cocktails. The barman, Sam, a personable and friendly young chap. was very knowledgeable about the history of the building. The bar is stocked with some good whiskeys and funky spirits; the cocktails are great value at £15 for 2 and were well made with flair. We will be back with friends to enjoy this great little place. We may even stay the night. Highly recommended.

We stayed for one night and we regretted it! The room was in the attic space. We chose it because it’s the only one with a shower and it allegedly had views of the castle. The room had low ceilings, small windows, an electric shower and a ridiculously small TV that you can’t see from the bed. At 5’11’ my head was scraping the ceiling. I bumped my head into the eaves many times and couldn’t sit up in bed because of the eaves space. When we entered the room it was so cold we couldn’t take our coats off! Radiators were ice cold. I pointed this out to the chef who was manning reception. He told us the boiler had broken and he would call a plumber. We stayed away for the afternoon waiting for the heating to be fixed. The shower was weak and I had to duck to get under it. Being in the attic, with little insulation we can hear the wind blowing all night and when the radiators finally started working all you can hear is a ticking noise because of air in the system. We asked to talk to the owner on three separate occasions and left my mobile number with three members of staff. We wanted to give him feedback in person, but he didn’t call. I guess he can read about the shortfalls in his hotel in this review instead. We paid £140 for one night, it’s not worth half the price! The room is small, old and dated and the owner just doesn’t care. Stay somewhere else.

We stayed in the attic room as a family group and it was brilliant. Two completely seperate bedrooms with a corridor in between. View of the castle, and very cosy, we loved hearing the wind blowing outside. Lots of teas/coffees and a really delicious rocky road! Breakfast was brilliant with lovely service from the ladies. We would happily stay again. Thank you

Overall a great experience at this small hotel! The staff were all friendly and easy to chat with. The lobby is a bit of a change from any hotel I've been to. It's essentially a restaurant/pub space where you walk in. Loved the 2-for-1 Prosecco! The location was great! Easy to walk to anything in Arundel. The train station here is a bit of a problem... but that's not the hotel's fault. Breakfast was fantastic! Highly recommend trying the Eggs Benedict. The room was very well appointed. The decoration and details were amazing! Everything was comfortable and worked as expected. My only complaint would be the road noise outside. We were on the first floor facing the road. The exterior doors to the patio did not provide much noise insulation so you could hear every car going by.

Great little hotel with the rooms above a bar. We stayed one night. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was nice. Room had everything you need but was a little worn looking, but comfy all the same. No evening food is served but we'd booked a restaurant anyway. Location is excellent to explore the town.

2/3 star "hotel" at a push. We were not advised the rooms were a couple of meters away from a music/entertainment venue so listening to people at 1am wasn't fun. Pretty dusty in the rooms also very old school decorations, Pictures over sell it. Bath with shower head but no stand up shower facilities in the double room. Staff were lovely and very nice considering how busy they were. The breakfast could be skipped for somewhere else in town.

The Town House proved to be an excellent venue for a surprise 60th birthday. For a small party - we numbered 18 in total - it worked a treat. The setting and ambience were great and the bar staff very friendly and helpful both before and during the event. The buffet was super and the baked Camembert with fresh crusty bread an absolute revelation as a 'party food' item. It was also very good value. Thoroughly recommend.

Yelp
I cannot praise this Restaurant enough, they have some B&B rooms above that are very nice. The menu changes to be seasonal, I have had Lobster / Beef / Pork / Chicken / Prawns all prepaired with seasonal veg and in fantastic sauce. Lee, the owner & head chef, together with front of house make an excellent evening, its casual going on formal, its excellent value. If this was in London he would make a fortune. A Good friend introduced us to this top top venue...thanks Pete. Many a good meal, special celebration or just trying out the new menu as its launched
