Yelp
I would not say that it is really outstanding, but the Town House is an A-OK place and I would not hesitate to recommend it for its location. It's a convenient walking distance to town, and to the big park nearby where you can catch a canal boat to the waterside as well, and the B&B is well-appointed--it's in a lovely neighborhood of Victorian townhouses. It fronts on a main street and is right across the street from a pub that is party central late into the night, so watch it if you are on the front; if you close your windows it cuts down on the revelry noise, especially with the fan going in the summer. This is a tall place, so be prepared to carry your suitcases up some flights of stairs with no help. Such was my case--only a young girl there. Not all the breakfast is waited--you get your own coffee, juices, cold cereals, yogurt, and fruit. Hot food is served to the table. None of the B&Bs I have stayed at throughout the UK provide sugar substitutes--the cafes either--so take your own Splenda, etc. on vacation if you use it. My bathroom had only one tiny shelf over the sink and no soap ledge in the shower. Coffee/tea-maker, hair dryer, and old-style TV set. No clock or clock radio.
