We had a great experience on Father's Day, 2025. We walked up with no reservation, and was told 20--25 minutes; after only 15, we were sat. We had great service, delicious food, and a wonderful ambiance. The food selections were varied but not overwhelming; other patrons even leaned over to give advice on what was excellent to order. My baked tomatoes were wonderful, and my date enjoyed her steak tenderloin eggs benedict. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a delectable meal.

Indoor or outdoor seating. Our waitress was wonderful. She even gave us the pro tip that we could mix and match the Benedict’s. It was so good. Definitely recommend coming here. Everything is fresh and great flavor

I absolutely love this place!! The portions were huge and the food was phenomenal. It was so cute here too! The atmosphere was great! The best breakfast spot in Traverse City!!

Google
Best breakfast spot we’ve found in the area so far. Awesome spot with a ton of street parking. The building is beautiful and the inside is decorated very nicely. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. We ordered a chipotle Bloody Mary and an Irish coffee, both were great. The Bloody Mary had a lot of cool toppings including but not limited to a jalepeno, a blue cheese stuffed olive, a regular olive, a lemon, a pickle, etc. For food we got the short rib Benedict, the tenderloin Benedict and a side of bacon. The food was awesome but did not enjoy the hollandaise/chunky gravy mix. The meat tasted grilled and so great, it left us very interested in trying the rest of the menu which was mostly meat-based. Would definitely return!

Google
I just loved this place! Everything was great. We waited about 30min for a table and then got service right away. The coffees came out quick and the Bloody Mary was right behind. The three of us each ordered something different: smoked salmon Benedict, grilled romaine with poached eggs, and a fruit salad with banana bread. Everyone loved their food. I was especially impressed with the smoked salmon cake. Highly recommend checking them out! S/o to William who was a great server - friendly and attentive.

We stopped here for breakfast and very much enjoyed it. We loved the atmosphere of the outdoor patio for our meal. We both ordered Bloody Mary's, one regular and one spicy. We recommend the spicy as it had better flavor. For food we ordered the regular Benedict and the chicken Benedict. Both were delicious. Surprisingly the grilled lettuce head with light dressing that comes with the meal was very good and refreshing. We would love to come back - highly recommend!

Google
What a local brunch gem! 🤩 Came here for brunch and this place did not disappoint. Simple menu with delicious all American food selection 🇺🇸. Tried its short rib Benedict and it was great. Look forward to coming back to try out different Benedicts it offers. Sat at the outdoor garden area if you can. It was quite an experience to dine, people watch and enjoy the moment! If you're in this are, you should give it a try🤩🌞🍳🥯🍾

We met our son, his wife and some of her family for brunch. It started to rain and our waiter was just great! Moved umbrellas, helped us shift our table… it was great! Good is ALWAYS wonderful, but this Sunday the service really stood out or stepped up!!

Yelp
We wanted some brunch and stumbled across this restaurant on Yelp. This place seems very popular! When we arrived there was a good amount of people waiting for a table. We put our name in for 3 and was estimated 45 mins. We waited maybe 20 mins. Not bad! They don't do text to let you know the table is ready so you have to stay close to the restaurant. I like the text option so we can roam and shop while we wait. But we didn't wait long we just walked down the street to get a coffee, came back and the table was ready. We got the Chicken Benedict and the Regular Benedict. Both were super yummy! The friend chicken one was so good it was on a potato. There aren't any kids meals, but they do sides of most things. We did a side blueberry pancake and eggs, she loved it. Our server Lauren was really friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our brunch here. It's not super loud in the restaurant either so you can relax and eat your food with your family. We saw people order the Grilled Cheese and we kept eyeing it! We want to come back to try that!

Yelp
We ate here for breakfast, and it was amazing! It's our first time visiting traverse City. We asked our server at dinner (Taproot Cider House - definitely recommend!) last night where to go for breakfast, and she suggested here. We love a good local breakfast and brunch eatery, and this place did not disappoint. We had wonderful service, and the food was delicious. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We sat outside in their beautiful courtyard. I definitely recommend eating here!

Yelp
We loved The Towne Plaza. This was our first stop when we made it to Traverse City for a long weekend. We had to wait for a table for about 10 minutes, but considering the time of day and being on a weekend, we were sat quite quickly. The inside of this restaurant is small with pretty limited seating. They do have a very cute court yard with tables which is where we opted to eat. Our server, despite being obviously very busy, was very good and attentive to us. We got the traditional eggs Benedict, chicken and potato waffles and shared an order of the French toast. Everything was amazing, we especially loved the potatoes for both dishes. The French toast was delicious! It was something between French toast and bread pudding. It had raisins and cranberries and was the perfect amount of sweet. Just delicious!

Yelp
Towne Plaza is always number one on our list of favorites!!! We take all our friends here. The plates coming out of the kitchen are always top drawer. The freshness and homemade quality is always evident. Don't forget to try their homemade jams. Yum!!! From chefs to servers you cannot go wrong at Towne Plaza.

Yelp
I've always heard good things about brunch at the towns plaza- but honestly, I could kick myself for not going sooner. Delicious! The chipotle Bloody Mary had a smooth, Smokey taste to it- and the garnishes were great. The meat omelette was superb- the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the steak in the omelette was cooked to perfection. The seasoned potatoes and dressed Bibb lettuce was a great side dish as well. Wonderful service, and even though it's a little small on the inside- the staff work hard and efficiently to get guests in as seated. A must stop in the TC area.

Yelp
I love a good breakfast spot, and a local we met at dinner the night before recommended The Towne Plaza for their Benedicts specifically. Nate and I wandered down from our Airbnb and got one of the last open tables on the big patio. The patio is so lovely! It was mostly shaded when we were there, and it was fun to people and dog watch. (The patio is dog-friendly.) The menu had lots of great sounding items, but I wanted some healthier options, so I ordered a side salad and fruit and yogurt. (Note that fruit, yogurt, and granola are all sold separately for $6 each. The menu is a little bit confusing on that.) Nate got the omelette with bacon, ham, steak, and mushrooms. The food was really delicious! We asked for hot sauce for the omelette, which made it perfect. The side salad was a large portion and dressed nicely. The yogurt was some of the most delicious yogurt I've ever had, but the fruit was just okay (some of it was overripe). I had several bites of the omelette which was so savory and tasty! I really loved this place and even though it was a little bit pricey I'd definitely go back. The service was great too.

Yelp
The food is so good! Went for breakfast and I got The Grilled Romaine. I wished I got a picture but I dug in too quickly.

Yelp
Calling all brunch & bacon lovers! On a cold day, this hit all the notes of comfort. We were warmly greeted after walking in & promptly seated. The bar takes center stage, but the charm of the brick building has been preserved, making for a cozy eatery. Our server, Hannah, was great & had our drinks squared away super quick. The mushroom bisque, side of bacon & smoked burger were delicious, with all the flavors complimenting each other. I've also enjoyed the pancakes & French toast in the past. Really great breakfast/brunch/lunch spot for anytime of the year!

Yelp
Came here twice on my four day visit to TC. We had come here last year and it was quite good, this time around it was also pretty good, though on our second visit I think we had a new waitress or something. More on that in a minute. They have a huge outdoor seating area, as well as comfortable seating inside. The wait staff is super friendly and the vibe is super chill here. A great spot to grab a cup of coffee, some delicious breakfast, and take your time. I've had the salmon cakes benedict, as well as the bell pepper with chorizo and poached eggs. Both were immaculate, with attention to detail showing in every aspect-great presentation, clean diced veggies and salsa, perfectly poached eggs, served at just the right temperature. On our second visit last week, there were definitely a few service hiccups. First, the cappucinos came out with no foam, and the waitress kind of timidly excused herself and said it's hard to make foam. Well, she could have asked for help if she was new at it. Then our order came out wrong, and we had to tell her to please fix it. Finally, the bill came out with the wrong items on it from the originally wrong order, and that would have cost us $10 if it were not fixed. Anyway, she was very polite and we were very gentle asking for the fixes, and everything was taken care of and made right promptly and courteously. So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Just a star off for not training new staff properly. In any case, I'd still go back here without hesitation and can recommend it as one of the best breakfast spots in TC.

Yelp
The food was amazing and great portion sizes. The staff was friendly and fast! Highly recommend the Surf and Turf.

Yelp
Best outdoor dining in TC. The food is fresh and cooked perfectly with high quality ingredients. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
We came early for breakfast and had no wait. I got the chicken Benedict and a side order of pancakes, my mom got the steel cut oatmeal. The chicken Benedict was good it came with a potato cake instead of an English muffin and I liked that change I just wish it was a little bigger because towards the end I ran out of potato cake. The pancakes were reminded me of cracker barrel pancakes, I'm not sure I I would get them as a plain side again I think with toppings it would be better. The oatmeal was really good, my mom said she would get it again. I liked it as well it was not too thick or overdone. Note when you come because of the location, there isn't any free parking that I noticed so you will have to pay for parking.

Yelp
Never disappoints. Food. Drinks. Service. My "go-to" spot when I'm in Traverse City.

Yelp
At the last minute we decided to go here for Sunday brunch. Wait was only 15 min. Our server was wonderful and the food was great. A nice cozy place on a rainy morning.

Yelp
Absolutely blown away by everything about this establishment. Came here for a Friday lunch in mid-June. No wait and immediately sat down outside. I asked the waiter what he recommended he provided a detailed yet concise explanation of the menu, what the Towne Plaza is famous for, and his personal favorites. I got the Porchetta with scrambled eggs and loved every bite. It features some of the famous pork loin and pork belly along with the house made chimichurri. It was a perfect savory, earthy, and filling dish. My girlfriend got the potato gnocchi which was super tasty as well. Dishes came out lightning fast and our knowledgable waiter was attentive throughout. Will definitely be back next time we're in TC.

Yelp
Parking was easy to find. We didn't have any issues with the staff being rude. Our food was decent not amazing but decent. We ordered the shrimp in broth and porchetta. Shrimp in broth was good but could use more shrimp in it. The meat in the porchetta could be a little more soft so that it can melt in my mouth. Meat was a bit too chewy. Restaurant was clean and prices were fair. Overall about a 3.5, definitely not a perfect 5.

Yelp
The Towne Plaza We had lunch here. I cannot say too much. The food was fancy and the presentation was great. Look at pictures. They wanted to show you food but did not really focus on taste. Missed opportunities. Recommended

Yelp
Stuffed tomato was enjoyable. Service was attentive. Ambience and music decent. Good spot for brunch the day after a night out.

Yelp
It's been nearly 10 years since my last review so I figured it was a good time for an update! The good news is, the Towne Plaza is just as good as it's always been! I came with my family a few weekends ago and had the pleasure of dining on the patio. Wait on a Saturday afternoon was a bit long (about an hour) but they took our number so we were able to walk around town a bit to kill some time. I was tempted to try something different but I just couldn't tear myself away from the delicious eggs benedict. It was just as wonderful as I recalled! Once again, my mom got the pork belly and I was able to sneak bites of it throughout the meal. My husband got the omelette filled with steak, ham, bacon, wild mushrooms and white cheddar. It was also VERY good. Everyone else raved about their dishes, too. One of the highlights of our trip up north, for sure! It is a dog friendly patio, too, and our pups loved being able to hang with us as we ate.

Yelp
I waited and I decided to go to Traverse City for the day and in normal fashion. I always try to Google who has the best eggs Benedict. And I came across The Towne Plaza. Leaving really early from the Detroit Metropolitan area, we set the GPS to go directly to the restaurant arriving around 10:30 in the morning. Upon receiving the menus, I noticed that the eggs Benedict was served with some sort of a smoked hollandaise sauce. I opted to get the salmon cakes topped with poached eggs and a traditional hollandaise sauce. My wife ordered one of their signature house hamburgers that came with a sliced Pork belly on top. The salmon cakes were cooked perfectly, the poached steaks on top cooked perfectly however, the hollandaise sauce I can honestly say it's one of the worst I've ever had. The hamburger was dry and the pork belly horribly overcooked to the point that it was dry. We also ordered a side of french fries that had like a Romano cheese topping, and those were actually quite delightful. I ordered a homemade lemonade, which also was very good. We opted to eat in the courtyard outside, which actually uses with ambience set in charming downtown Traverse City. The service was excellent other than forgetting to bring silverware. Our waiter was quite delightful. The food I have to admit is a hard pass. There were three of us and the meal with tip was just under $100. There are so many better places I would imagine, that are not nearly as expensive and the food not nearly as disappointing.

Yelp
Stopped in here for an easy lunch and it exceeded our expectations. The menu was very unique with lots of pork options. The "shoulder in puff" was unique to anything I had eaten before and I loved it! Very homey and casual inside, the staff were all friendly.

Yelp
The benedict and the short rib benedict were super delicious! Definitely recommend the fries, they said they hand cut them at the restaurant! It

Yelp
Cozy spot in Traverse City. I had the Pork Belly with eggs over easy. Delicious! Did not get a chance to try their cocktails.
google avatar

Yelp
We ate at The Towne Plaza for the first time today. The ambiance has a cool, chill vibe. Definitely a place to go in the "off season." I imagine they are quite slammed during season. We had cocktails that were all on point. The bloody Maria's had wonderful garnishes. We had a lovely server who accommodated all of our wants and needs. If you have any food allergies they are very accommodating. Everything we ordered was extremely delicious. We had several Benedict's, pork belly, the omelette, smoked bacon and extraordinary scrambled eggs. All were on point. The service was fast and efficient. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
This was our first stop in Traverse City. It was a very nice breakfast place. Overall food tasted good but portions were hit or miss depending on what was ordered. Family of five and a few left a little hungry. Menu was a little limited for the younger kids. Inside seating was nice and cozy, a lot of trinkets to look at and very clean. Outdoor seating looked nice but a little disconnected from the restaurant. Service was also very nice and quick. With all the other other options in Traverse City, might have to try a few other spots before deciding to go back. Was this review helpful?

Judith R.

Yelp
Food and service were outstanding, huge portions, great menu choices. I must return frequently to eat my way through the entire menu!
google avatar

Rashida K.

Yelp
The Towne Plaza is REALLY solid brunch spot. The surf and turf (fried oysters & pork belly) is creative and tasty. The portion size is much bigger than expected. I also tasted the frozen lemon mousse roulade- it was light and citrusy- I could really see this as a perfect summertime treat- (which is surprising because it's January in Michigan). I recommend dining here if you're in the area.
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
Food and service were excellent! We split a tenderloin Benedict and added a slide of Slaw. We ended up taking most of the slaw back to the condo. Great location and sitting outside made people watching fun.

Yelp
This place was recommended to us by our friends. It got really busy so we're glad we got there when they opened. We ordered the smoked salmon and short rib Benedict. The smoked salmon (cakes) were so good and the eggs were cooked perfectly! The Bibb salad was a nice addition and the potatoes were tasty too. The short rib was delicious and I'll definitely order it again! The portions are big and the price is reasonable. This was our best meal in TC! Service was great too!

Sofía Q.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing experience. We came here for my birthday with a large group of people and we were able to get a table without a reservation. Our waiter was extremely patient and helpful with understanding the menu. He made suggestions and brought out our food quickly. Complimentary cake for my birthday! Definitely worth it.

Yelp
Hands down the best breakfast spot in TC! Now let me start with the location. Only 1 block from Front Street in the heart of downtown. We opted to drive instead of walk from our hotel due to a tight schedule. Easy peasy finding metered parking around the restaurant. Once we got there we were added to the 30 minute waitlist. Not too bad especially when you see how stinking cute this place is! After 30-40 minutes, we were seated at a high top outside. We didnt mind the wait at all. It was a beautiful, sunny day. We enjoyed it by walking around Front St. and looping back to Towne Plaza. Our waiter was kind, but not really attentive or speed to action. We started out with water and coffee. The cocktails looked amazing! If we didn't have to continue our drive up north, I would have tried one or two for sure! We ordered the stuffed tomatoes, the omelette, and the veggie omelette. The stuffed tomatoes were out of this world! So decadent, but fresh! The omelette was stuffed with steak, bacon, ham, cheese, and wild mushrooms with Bibb lettuce and potatoes. So beautiful presented and yummy! The veggie omelette was stuffed with olives, artichokes, and tomatoes.

Yelp
Stopped by here for a quick breakfast while we spent the weekend on the lake and OMG the pork belly is insanely good. Extremely tender and super fatty! It was almost too rich for one person to finish since the portion was so large. I added a poached egg on the side and it was just *chef's kiss* 5/5 just for this dish
google avatar

Mckenze S.

Yelp
We come here each year for our anniversary. Every year I get the tenderloin Benedict and ever year I'm obsessed.

David K.

Yelp
We had a terrific lunch at Town Plaza. We look forward to dining there each visit to town. There is a variety of choices and the pork themed menu offered many delicious choices. My party enjoyed the salad and coffee choices as well.

Yelp
All good things to say about the restaurant. Since Saturday mornings with a drink is a good way to start, we each had one- I had the Cabernet and my partner had the coffee whiskey drink- both great. Both had the veggie omelette- WOW is that delicious. Best VEGGIE OMELETTE on this planet earth!

Jamie C.

Yelp
We went right when they opened and received fast & friendly service. Our server was accommodating and the food and drinks were delicious! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
A great brunch spot in downtown Traverse City! Expect a bit of a wait, but well worth it. Started with a great Bloody Mary - house made mix and chipotle infused vodka. The fries were excellent, and the five onion soup was simple, but super flavorful. Main course was the short rib Benedict, with super tender meat and great poached eggs. Also, the lettuce that comes on the side is amazing - super crisp and refreshing. All in all an excellent experience, would love to come back and try some more dishes.

Yelp
We just arrived in Traverse City and picked this great restaurant. Over the top of sure. The wait staff was amazing and the chef top notch. We had the shrimp soup and it was incredible. We loved the outdoor seating. What a great way to start our trip.

Yelp
Food: delicious Price: for what you get (quantity and quality), it's definitely worth the price Service: efficient Ambiance: very simple, no need to dress up Overall a good experience!

Yelp
I wish I had photos to share but I was too excited when it came since it looks beautiful. The bacon is amazing, it tastes like your eating a slice of Rib. The omelettes are perfection, even the side salad was worth noting. The muffin. Oh man, that muffin should be a dish in its own. So good. Great experience all around and the includes the very nice and helpful service. So happy to eat here. Next time I'm trying the pancakes that everyone was chattering about, as well as the Bloody Mary that I spotted and immediately had FOMO.

Darci H.

Yelp
Breakfasts are awesome! The chicken eggs Benedict on a potato cake is my favorite! Second favorite is the short rib Benedict. They have veggie options too.

Jona H.

Yelp
The food was outstanding and the mimosas are made with brut not Prosecco, so they aren't too sweet. Also, they are served in wine glasses, not flutes. Nice big pour! I had the classic Benedict and my husband had the tenderloin Benedict. Both delicious, very large portions. I appreciated the side of nicely dressed Bibb lettuce too. We ordered a side of blueberry pancakes and they stole the show. A must go when in TC!
google avatar

Nina F.

Yelp
Blown away! Went here with my family during our weekend getaway vacation and we loved it so much we had to go twice! The service was great and we surprisingly got sat quickly despite how busy it was. There was not one bad dish... not one. My dad is the most critical food reviewer ever.. everywhere we go he always has at least one negative thing to say (emphasis on the at least..) but to my surprise he had all good comments! So it was a thumbs up from Jude and thumbs up from me!
google avatar

Abhilash T.

Yelp
We had breakfast here two days in a row because it was so good. We sat at the bar and Molly was waiting on us. She was awesome. We all got something different and shared everything. There wasn't a single dish that felt average. The Benedict in particular was exceptional. The blueberry pancakes and the French toast with raisins were fantastic. There's sufficient parking all around and we didn't have a wait either day.
google avatar

Dorothy W.

Yelp
The Towne Plaza is the perfect spot to grab brunch when you're in traverse city! Staff is friendly and more importantly, the food is great! My all time favorite is the pork belly dish! It's flavorful and the meat just melts in your mouth! The portions are a good size too!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, great service. Fresh and interesting food choices. Just a block off Front Street!

Yelp
As always the food is delicious. We had a party of 7 and sat at the bar. Bartender was attentive and very good. Will return

Yelp
The pork belly dish is absolutely delicious! The fried green tomato and fried chèvre on top was crunchy and the Tobasco vinaigrette added a little kick. The pork belly was cooked perfectly. They have lots of outdoor seating and plenty inside. We were quoted an hour wait but only waited 20 minutes. Would highly recommend stopping here for breakfast or brunch! Everyone in our party loved their dishes.

Yelp
The Towne plaza is a gem in downtown Traverse City! Came here for brunch with a large group (12- we were in town for a wedding) and they were able to accommodate us with no problem. The brunch menu had primarily pork options, but also your traditional brunch items as well (was waffles, eggs, bacon, etc.). I decided to order the pork belly. It was a difficult decision, but one they I am glad I made! The Pork Belly was $14.00. It consisted of Smoked, slow roasted pork, chevre cake, fried green tomato, red hot vin. The goat cheese was too strong for me, but my boyfriend seemed to enjoy it as he loves strong/smelly cheeses! I do love the mixed greens they were sprinkled on top of the dish. Parking in the area can be tough. However, if you are like myself and hate paint for parking, you can walk a few blocks East to find some free parking in the residential neighborhood.
