We were able to store our luggage here during the interim period of checking out of our room and going to the airport. The two men that run the store are incredible friendly and this store has literally anything you could think of when it comes to travel necessities/accessories. Would give 6/5 stars if I could.

This store was recommended to me for all travel needs. I was able to find some shoe covers. It was a hot day, and was offered water. It was very much appreciated. I recommend stopping by!

My mom needed an big duffle bag to travel with golf clubs, and couldn’t find any. It was 4 hrs before her flight and we luckily found The Travel Store. They have EVERYTHING! And they saved my mom and her golf club. Guys there are very friendly and didn’t stop till they found something suitable.

A gem—the only store I’ve been able to find in Brooklyn with a diverse selection of luggage (from suitcases, to duffels, to compact/collapsible totes), and they also have a great inventory of other travel needs (like international power adapters, travel size toiletries, l charging cords, etc.). Very kind owner, who even offered me cold water on a hot day. Thanks!

Great experience. Pet friendly. The store clerk welcomed me and my dog into the store. I was not looking for a deal, I wanted a cheap bag. The clerk did not try to upsell me. This place has what you need to prepare your upcoming trip, even a cold bottle of water on a hot day.

This place was a lifesaver. I went the day before my flight, when I still hadn't been able to acquire an adapter for Nepal (universal adapters don't work). I called ahead and the employee (owner?) said they had an adapter for Nepal. I made it to the store thirty minutes to close and not only got the adapter I needed, but also a microfiber towel I had been looking for! They have almost all travel needs you can think of (money belts, toiletry bottles and cases, luggage and bags, water bottles, etc). After my purchase, the employee offered us a cold water for the hot day. Refreshing! Overall, a successful and delightful experience at The Travel Store.

Terrible. They had listed special hours of 11am to 1pm on Thursday for some reason. I needed to buy a adapter and packing cubes for my trip later that evening. I got to the store at 12:36pm and they were closed. I expect stores to honor their opening and closing hours. I wasted time and money.

Small shop with a good selection of luggage and travel accessories. Was looking for a specific high end suitcase and not only did they have it in stock, in multiple colors, but I was offered a great price. Customer service was the efficient, pleasant and on point. They even offer free same-day delivery within Brooklyn. Would highly recommend.

This store owner was so helpful! It was quick and easy, and we were able to get a last minute duffel bag for our move. We always remember nice people!

So talk about one of the best services in Brooklyn! Drop your bags off for a small fee ($7 a bag) and be hands-free for the rest of the afternoon? Heck yes! My daughter and I had to check out of our hotel room by 11 am and our flight didn't leave until 7 PM. We wanted to have lunch at Peter Luger and we're trying to figure out places we could potentially leave our luggage, rather than carting a giant suitcase around for the afternoon Imagine my excitement at finding the travel store on yelp! Moshe was kind and helpful and checked us in and out very fast! He even walked outside and pointed down the street giving us easy directions to Peter Luger! I love this place and I will definitely use it the next time we are in New York City. It's nice to know there are options like this! What a great service!! :)))

I've been running all over Manhattan looking for a small travel bag to use as my personal item that also fits on top of my suitcase. Finally I read about this place online and, lo and behold, it was only a 10-minute walk away. From the minute I walked in, I was treated with respect. My needs were assessed and I was given a number of options in different price ranges. One thing I really appreciated was not feeling pressured to buy something I couldn't afford. Checkout was quick and painless, and I was given a bottle of cold water before I went on my way, no small gesture given what a hot day it was outside. I'll definitely be recommending this store to anyone I know who's traveling, and I'll make it a point to come bank before going elsewhere, even if it might cost a little more. (I especially like the fact that it's a family-owned business.)

Stored our luggage on labor day with no reservations and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Super fast and easy. Nicest people ever as well!

Literally anything you could possibly need is here. Suitcases, accessories, luggage scales.. anything! Whatever your budget and the people inside are working are so helpful. I was looking for a good carry-on bag when I came to this store. They had a great selection of bags. After good 30-40 minutes I spent there, checking out bags, questioning on +/- of items they were offering, I was able to get a really good bag that mostly fitted my requirements. Besides, I was offered a free same day delivery of my bag.Very friendly and very helpful staff. Great shopping experience! Highly recommend!

This shop is a god send for any traveler! We found it on yelp looking for a place to get a suitcase to replace a carry on we had and the owner explained all the options giving us a good range within our budget. No pressure shopping, he was available to answer all our questions without pressuring us to buy anything. The walls are filled with any accessory you could imagine from suitcase scales to weigh your bag, to pillows for the plane, anything. Great shop, thanks!

This store has amazing service! I highly recommend buying your travel gear here! The store offers great service for repairs. I bought a luggage case at a well known department store before I knew about the luggage store, and on my last trip home from Hong Kong American Airlines broke the wheel off. I called a lot of stores and The Luggage Shop was the only store that helped me. They sent my luggage to a repair shop to fixed the wheel and it came back perfect! The experience was easy and stress free and very affordable!

The Travel Store packs a lot of accessories onto their walls in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and somehow keep it all organized and an gave me an easy shopping experience. The guy at the store spends time to explain the merchandise and will recommend one over the other, not thinking about up-selling. Great customer service. The variety of merchandise stocked blew me away. Container for your toothbrush? Luggage tags and dozens of bags. Tefillin bags. Waterproof phone bags. Lunch bags. And even kids travel games. I'll stop in again before a big trip to make sure I don't forget any travel essentials.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and made every effort to help me find what I was looking for. I was especially impressed with the free shipping options I was offered. I just needed some affordable luggage for my one-way move back to Colorado and Moishe at For the Go was wonderful. He was very helpful, informed and no-pressure. Definitely go check out For the Go for a pleasant luggage-buying experience.

This place was a blessing! Had to check out early from our hotel but we had an evening flight. Instead of lugging our bags around this store allowed us to safely leave our luggage in their store for a small fee. Great service! Super friendly & accommodating.

I went here based on the reviews to grab a carry-on sized bag for a quick trip from NY to France and back. And all of these reviews are spot on. The guys in the shop couldn't be nicer or more helpful. Quick and easy and inexpensive and have most everything you'll need to a trip out of town. I'm a fan.

I ordered a piece of luggage from their on-line store on December 6, 2016. They charged my credit card the same day. I had not heard anything by December 12 - no tracking number, no email - so I called to check the status of my order. They said they did not have the color of the item I wanted (red), even though there was no indication at the time of order or on Dec. 12 that the item was out of stock. They said they could ship out a black version of the bag, but they weren't going to be getting the red one in anytime soon. I specifically went to their site because I couldn't find the red bag anywhere else. And, there is still nowhere else I can get the red bag. Very poor customer service. I'm very disappointed and will not shop there again.

This place was awesome. Great service and very knowledgeable. I got an excellent piece ($320 retail) for $130. The same piece is $160 at Macy's. So I saved a little bit of money and knew I was picking the right piece because they were so knowledgeable and helpful. My girlfriend couldn't decide between two pieces, and they were extremely patient, giving her advice while she waffled for 20 minutes. That piece was less discounted, (found it for the same price online) but was still an excellent buy. I would absolutely buy here again. Anything they don't have that you want, they'll order for you.

Martin, the owner, is the best I needed something quick and inexpensive and he waited for me for half n hour after closing to accommodate me. He was very patient and explained all my choices very patiently and helped me select a good product within my range. Absolutely recommended!

We loved our experience with the travel store! We had to check out of our Airbnb in Williamsburg early and our flight wasn't until 6pm. We checked in our bags here for the day for $7/bag & they were safe while we finished our travel in NYC! Thank you!

My online shopping experience with Forthego.Com wasn't exactly a smooth ride. There was quite a bit of unnecessary frustration because there was no way to track my order. None of the phone numbers listed on the Yelp and their website was working. Fortunately, after nearly 5 days, I finally got an email from them informing that my order wass shipped. Today I got a call from their rep named Moshe to make sure that I receive my shipment and to explain to me that their phone system (both store and for the website customer support) was down for few days. I do appreciate them taking their online business and customers seriously enough to call me and explain to me about their phone problem. However, it would be really helpful if he could email me and let me know about their phone system issues sooner. That would save me lots of agony. Anyhow, the shipment arrived today as scheduled and was well-packaged. Most important of all, I now have what I need for my upcoming trip to Iceland. Thanks.

This store has everything you need and didn't know you needed for travel! Great prices and outstanding service. The man that helped us was very nice. I will definitely go back when I need more travel gear.

DO NOT MAKE A PURCHASE FROM THIS SELLER ONLINE!!! I never received my merchandise, nor was I able to contact them. When I tried 2 phone #'s I was disconnected every time. It was unbelievable. Fortunately, I had paid for my suitcase via Paypal. I had to file a dispute, and Paypal eventually obtained a refund for me. Throughout the dispute process, for the go never responded to my emails.

This place is amazing. Definitely worth the trip from Manhattan for its wide selection, very reasonable prices, and fast service. I was looking for duffel bags for my move out of NY and purchased two huge expandable duffel bags for $65 including tax. I was in and out of the store in five minutes. Really impressive.

I travel to the east coast twice a year and have done business with them in the past. Not anymore. They never returned my calls and dealing with them in person wasn't any better. Moshe couldn't be bothered to be polite or professional. There are plenty of other stores that offer a more pleasant experience.

Don't buy from them online. Really look into their site, see how most of it is not working. There is a reason for this. The online order was never shipped out and when I called no one would answer. I emailed and never got a response. So I kept calling and calling and calling. I didn't receive a refund even though I cancelled the order until I called them for a SEVENTH time.
