Overcrowded especially during the weekends. We had to wait for at least 20 minutes before we could be seated and give our order, after the “rush hours” had long gone. The waiters are tired, non-engaging with the service, being mostly on automatic pilot. The fact that we were surrounded by unattended tables full of leftovers, was not appetising at all. Mass production- mass consumption kind of situation and long opening hours, yet they fail to accommodate all meat requests. Kokoretsi, one of the top-selling plates, was sold out on a Sunday at 19:00, (while the tavern goes on until midnight) proving bad management without any foresight.
On the food, big portions did not mean necessarily good quality. The lamb chops were good but rest assured, it comes at a high cost. The fried zucchini plate was a disgrace to fried food.
I left with the feeling of not returning back as my conscious would not allow to spend so much on so “little”.
