The Triumphal Arch

The Triumphal Arch in Chișinău is definitely a structure worth seeing! Located right in the heart of the city, it’s impossible to miss and acts as a fantastic focal point for the main square. It has a simple, yet striking and elegant design. You can really appreciate the history as you stand beneath it; built in the 19th century, it's a great reminder of the city's past victories and traditions. It's a perfect spot to start your sightseeing, grab a photo, and feel the pulse of Chișinău. It's especially beautiful when lit up at night! If you are visiting the city, you absolutely have to stop by this iconic landmark.

Great place to see. Built in 1840, this 13-meter white stone arch with a clock commemorates the Russo-Turkish War.

It is the most visited place in the Chişinău, located in the center of the city. In every season you will see around different decorations related to holy and traditional holidays, markets, exhibitions and concerts sometimes.There is a pretty park around and many pigeons next to cathedral. The Arch is not as big as you expect to be like in the big cities, I consider very important to mention 😺

A great monument and one you can easily get up close to and admire in all its detail. There isn’t any signage to explain the history, which is a shame, but there’s plenty of other sights nearby to make it worth wandering to. They attempt to light it nicely in the evenings but in an understated way which goes well with the rest of the city. It’s one of the key landmarks and a must see for anyone’s first visit to the city or wanting good photo opportunities.

Beautiful arch in Chișinău. Really enjoyed my visit. Stands as one of the entrance’s to a beautiful park. Love the clock. A must see when visiting the city.
