Came for a quick drink. Wanted to have food but sadly we didn't have a reservation on a Sunday, our fault. This place really is a victim of it's own success because everyone wants to go there, gets very busy on a Sunday. Located right next to the long walk to Windsor castle. Beautiful old fashioned pub, cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Not child friendly, which didn't bother us. Service was friendly and welcoming. Worth a visit.

A pub with a lot of history and personality just outside Windsor Park. Dark but cozy inside, with quirky quotes and notations all over. Attentive personnel serve a good selection of British Ales and international beers as well as high quality food. My sandwich came in a nicely toasted bread with tender beef tips, caramelized onions and a fried egg. The side soup was tasty with potatoes, leeks and courgettes. Very genuine despite being in a very touristy area.

We booked to eat at 14.30pm & then when we arrived we learnt the main menu was only available to this time, so a good piece of advice! However the staff were brilliant, the chef agreed to cook our order for 4x main courses & starters & the food was absolutely delicious! Three Cask beers, the local cask being in fine form. I was advised the wines were good. The pub was warm friendly, busy ( not surprisingly) & well worth the visit. ( Will certainly visit again!)

I really appreciate this place! The Two Brewers in Windsor is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you can just feel the energy. It’s got this perfect mix of history and modern vibes that makes it feel both cozy and lively at the same time. The location is amazing – you’re right in the heart of Windsor, and there’s something magical about being in a spot with so much character. The place is full of life and always buzzing with good times. Whether you're popping in for a casual pint or catching some live music, there’s always an awesome vibe going on. The staff are super friendly, and the atmosphere is just top notch – you can tell this place has been around for a reason. You really get that historic charm, but with a modern twist that makes you want to stick around for hours. If you're looking for a place that’s got all the right vibes, The Two Brewers is the spot. It’s got that perfect mix of cool, casual, and full of history – what more could you ask for? Highly recommend it!

Very atmospheric pub nr the Long Walk in Windsor we visited for a drink just after opening at 1130 and ended up staying for lunch and so glad we did the food was really good, homemade freshly cooked to order we had the Sausages and Mash and the Ham, Egg and Chips with the cheeseboard and the homemade Blueberry and dark chocolate cheesecake which was 👌 there's also so much history in this pub the walls are covered in very interesting photos and articles signs etc. The staff were very friendly we will definitely be back. Also liked the fact children aren't allowed.

Oh wow! First time back to this wonderful place in 15 years as we now live in Italy. Food was excellent the atmosphere ditto. It has a new owner but still the very same high standards. Love this place.

Google
Very quaint and interesting pub with lots of exciting things to see and read. Is quite small but we managed to squeeze on a table for our drinks. Friendly and welcoming service, dog friendly.

Google
Great find at the entrance to the Great Park. Open fire was lit making the place warm and cozy. The landlord was friendly and efficient. The pub felt full of locals and very quaint with it's low ceilings, obvious history. Well worth a visit.

Yelp
Europe 2023 - London Visiting Windsor Castle, Two Brewers is a must visit after taking The Long Walk or visiting Windsor Castle. We enjoyed a couple of beers and from the guest chef a fusion nachos, which were a tad bit salty. Just enjoy sitting in a pub which had so much history.

Kevin M.

Yelp
Service was excellent in this amazing old pub. Really enjoyed the experience. Food and beverages were strong, as well!

Dave B.

Yelp
Popped in for a quick lunch after a magnificent tour of the castle. One of the guards recommended this spot and we are glad they did. A nice pint, bowl of soup and an order of fish cakes. The soup was very tasty with white beans in the tomato soup. Different. The fish cakes were also very flavorful. Smoked haddock had a great flavor. It was a cool experience to be in a building with so much history.

Yelp
People always say best pub in Windsor. it is very Windsor and very english. With it's decor, tight corners, warm ale and location right next to theh castle. Sitting outside is great people watching. Doesn't allow kids (yay), allows dogs (double yay). A great place for Sunday lunch. Make a reservation. Only downside is it's a bit cramped but that is what makes it a pub.

Yelp
Thank God I am a chatty Cathy. We were on our last night in the UK and stopped in for a cappuccino just outside Windsor Castle. Sadly, I don't remember the name of the coffee house, but there was an illy sign out front and it was on High Street. I mention them because I asked the barista and the patron he was chatting with for a dinner recommendation. They got us psyched for The Two Brewers, a local pub with lots of history and great food. Sold. Cheers. As we approached Two Brewers, I was delighted to see all the flowers and hanging baskets crowding the entrance. This was the real deal. An old pub with all the charm one would expect from a historical village. We skulked around a bit because they didn't serve dinner until 6:30 PM. As luck would have it, when we bounced back in at 6:00 to start with a glass of wine, one table didn't have a 'Reserved for...." card. Mine, mine all mine. Close your eyes and imagine a time capsule that is wee-small but big enough to hold a bar, 9 tables and a few stone fireplaces. Now fill it with artifacts that cover centuries of English history. Photos, signs, bric-a-brac, paintings, news clippings, steins, illustrations, etc., etc. Chalkboards posted the various ales and ciders and my personal favorite was the "This Day in History" chalkboard, that detailed important events throughout English history on 02 October. I started snapping photos but was alerted by my guy that this wasn't Disney World. Nope. This was a local joint that deserved quiet respect. Okay, so the food... I rarely order pâté, but this place dared me to go there. The 'Chicken liver, chorizo and brandy pâté, with sticky red onion marmalade' for £6.50, came served on a flat wood block with toasted, crusty, old-world bread. I paired it with a dry white Sauvignon Blanc. Oh my God. Rich, earthy, creamy and proportionately sweetened with the marmalade. My mate had the shrimp avocado cocktail and wasn't impressed, but to be fair, it was a sopping-cold, rainy night. This climate typically doesn't pair well with freezer-ish type apps. I will say -- the shrimp was plump and snappy. So pluses for that. For the mains, I chose the mixed fish skewer with scallops, tiger prawns and salmon with a creamy herb sauce, sautéd potatoes and salad for £15.50. He had the 8 oz (but it looked bigger) fillet steak that came with hand-cut chips and a side of bernaise for £24.50. Both were very good, but the steak won. Thick cut and seared medium-rare to perfection. We hung around for a second glass of wine and enjoyed the ambiance. It was bittersweet because it was so cozy and chill but we had loads of packing and prepping to do for the flight out the next day. The staff were awesome. Really attentive and and not at all discerning. Remember, I was walking around in a letterman sweater, pleated shorts and stockinged crocs snapping photos like a dork. (Sorta). Go here - whether it's for a pint or dinner. Even if the food sucked, (which it most certainly did not) I'd still award Two Brewers 5 stars because it was simply lovely and altogether memorable.

Yelp
For a look and definitely the feel and experience of a traditional pub, Two Brewers is the place! There is a large selection of ales and the service is friendly. This is a very small pub but it has all of the charm and atmosphere you are looking for! The locals here are friendly and the influx of tourists makes this pub lively! I did not get there during food service hours but I have heard their food is quite nice! A must see for a least a pint while in Windsor! I will be back for a meal and pint or two the next time I visit!

Kim C.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, staff, and food! We had a wonderful time chatting with the bar keepers and were very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the food was. We tried the chili as well as the scallops and warm goat cheese, red onion, and fig tart which was out of this world delicious!

Neil F.

Yelp
Any pub that opened in the 1700's and is still going must have a reason! Not a tourist trap, all locals and a great spot to regroup. Don't get distracted by drinking the food is amazing. A small plate of prawns made the afternoon!

Gavin R.

Yelp
Eclectic, local, one of the old school of pubs that are a focal point for the community. If you want dinner better book as the locals do every night. The decor is perfect ( for a pub ) the staff are great but expect a level of proficiency of being at a pub. Real coal fire on the LHS, caroling at Christmas. It doesn't get much more authentic English in Windsor than this. Being built in the side of the castle, next to the "long walk" doesn't hurt either. So if you sitting outside in the summer, or inside enjoying the fire in winter - highly recommended one of the worlds real pubs

Jim S.

Yelp
Loved this little gem! Had a pint or two after doing the tourist thing at the Castle. Perfect setting in a quiet neighborhood. We really hope to return and do all of the not tourist things in Windsor. Staff here are really nice. Good beer also! Loved to try the food next time. Do try it!

Karen R.

Yelp
Good tasty food, not too expensive for Windsor. The fish cakes were mostly fish. Both bars were happy to allow dogs :-). Especially good considering that one of the bars didn't allow children or buggies.

Billy B.

Yelp
Great pub rich in history, good selection of beers, and really quite exceptional food. Another 17th century pub in old town Windsor. This one however, was off the beaten path and offered great food. The service was not the best, but still good. They also offered a good selection of beers, ciders and wine at a relatively good price. If in Windsor, don't waste your time with the typical tourist traps on the "main drag", find this one and have a pint with one of their specials.

Bryana H.

Yelp
What seemed like wonderful reviews about this pub turned out to be a terrible lesson in customer service. We strolled up around 11, and realized the pub did not open until noon. The manager, instead of just saying, "we aren't open until noon," looked at our group and rudely said, "we don't serve children." There are ways to say things that make them sound more customer centric. Obviously this pub doesn't want repeat customers, without children. Never again. Cheers.

Yelp
Fantastic historic pub with a great drink selection in an out of the way location. Easy to walk in and have a drink. Of the 3 or 4 times I have been here, never had a bad experience. It's lively, yet quiet enough that you can breeze through your afternoon and not even realize it. I definitely would and have recommended this place to friends...

Yelp
I stopped in on a Sunday after touring Windsor Castle and was so glad I did. They were very busy, but they were able to accommodate me right away. I ordered the roast, which was very good. Such a cozy little spot in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the town. Loved being able to sit there for an hour before having to catch my flight at Heathrow. The staff was super friendly. Hope to be back someday!

Yelp
Two Brewers was an eclectic and local pub that - while I am not from Windsor - I felt like was a Windsor institution that everyone should visit. On our first night in Windsor, we were basically the only folks in there, granted there were like 15 of us. We had pints a plenty while Robert, the proprietor, drank at the bar along with us. It's kinda great because the pub has two entrances "This Bar" and "That Bar". We liked kicking it on the "This Bar" side mostly. Robert informed us that Two Brewers is the 3rd oldest pub in Windsor. The bar service was fantastic: Kara, Alice, and the entire crew were quite proper at their jobs. Additional bonus was the fact that both of the young ladies were also fantastic to look at. They have 8 ales/beers on tap, and 2 ciders on tap. There are literally hundreds of wines available by the glass from which you can choose and they are written on the walls in chalk (by Robert). The only downfall in my mind: they close at 23:00. In the US, bars close at 2:00am or 3:00am in most cases. I mean... who closes a pub at 23:00? Boo, for that law in Windsor.

Yelp
For me as a foreigner it seems as the best pub I've experienced in the UK. Just near the entrance to The Long Walk ... Authentic, original -interesting memorablia, collections of different objects, photos, board of events of the day -on the walls. Not too spacious, but cozy. In good wheather you can sit outside at the few tables and observe the tourists coming and going. Good beers and wines, tasty and eye delighting food. It is just so easy-going! Can get really crowded so it's better to book a table beforehand. My opinion -this pub is more than a pub, it's a great place where to spend a few hours of your day, or your weekends!

Yelp
Great historic pub in Windsor. It's a great place to have a pint and chat with friends if you're out walking near the gardens.

Qype User (Lank…)

Yelp
This is a great little pub near the end of the Long Walk. The story has it that locals entered a lottery to have their portrait incorporated in the pub sign, only for one to bung in some extra money (all for charity) and to, remarkably, get pulled from the hat.

Qype User (kas7…)

Yelp
I have not had an entire meal here but i have dined here for snacks and puddings and obviously for some drinks. I think this pace has a real touch of charm to it and enjoyed the atmosphere it created. Someone met us at the door and showed us politely to a table even though we said we were not ordering a full meal. The atmosphere was very cosy and the décor was very interesting. There is an outside area in which i sat and it was great to watch the world go by while i sipped my cafe latte. We were only here for drinks but it did seem like a popular place, and all of the food i saw go by me looked delicious.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this place in the winter they light the fires, and its great to go on a week night, have dinner and a bottle of wine or twoand in the summer you can sit outside and watch the world go by from the tables under their lovely hanging baskets!... Great food, and a pretty acceptable wine list for a pub a word of warning ALWAYS book a table if you want dinner, even for a tuesday night, they are always packed.

Qype User (annie3…)

Yelp
This is one of the few remaining good traditional pubs left in the centre of windsor! It is a small pub and does get extremely busy at the weekends but it is worth it! The atmosphere is always good and if you can secure a table , then stay for the night! The food is definitely worthwhile - much better than alot of the gastro pubs in the area.

Pat R.

Yelp
Good beer, bad food. Might have been an off day but the ham was slightly green and cold, the eggs on top of the ham were fried to death and the chips were soggy and oily. Cool place, needs a real chef.

Luis C.

Yelp
One of the best pubs in Windsor....crowded in the summer with the groups of tourists but owner is pretty good at keeping the place running efficiently and genuinely....

Ryan H.

Yelp
A quaint pub with loads of character, great food and selection of drinks, not to mention the amazing location right next to the Long Walk. Perfect for dog walkers (and it's dog friendly inside!) Can get very busy so booking for lunch and dinner is a must.

Vicki V.

Yelp
Wonderful tavern after an amazing tour of windsor castle. Enjoyed a delicious chorizo and scallops and a stuffed chicken breast but the cheesecake was over the top!

Ginger D.

Yelp
Cosy pub, great food and beer selection, waxy candles alight on each table. Always packed, so I suppose I'm not the only one that loves this little nook. Definitely you need a reservation to eat, but it's worth the loss of spontaneity. Best pub in Windsor? Yes, probably.

Caroline M.

Yelp
Cozy bar with not one but two fireplaces, friendly waitstaff and great beer. You can have a few and then embark on the 'long walk' and you'll be very pleased. Very happy we happened upon this place after our trip to Windsor Castle. Would consider the trip just to visit this pub! Must see when you're in the area. Local or tourist should go tonight!

Benjamin W.

Yelp
I'm not overly familiar with the UK pub scene, but some co-workers brought me by Two Brewers after work during my trip to London, and I was pleasantly surprised. Two Brewers is a small local pub near Windsor Castle, and the brew selection was good and the service great. We enjoyed ourselves and had nice conversation over a great drink before going on our way. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Camie T.

Yelp
I love this traditional English pub but one must arrive early (or make a reservation) in order to get a table. The pub is small, very small, but the service and the atmosphere cannot be beat. This pub is a must do if you are visiting Windsor, if even for a single pint.

Dan G.

Yelp
Great Little pub in Windsor. Good beer. Great Food. I had the rabbit burger. It's usually packed, and service can be a little slow. Low on the touristy quotient.

Cheri H.

Yelp
Great history and atmosphere and wonderful food. Good wine selection but the beer selection, surprisingly, was limited.

Jacqui I.

Yelp
Just shopping in Windsor the other day and decided to pop in for a rest and quick drink. It's been many years since I last went there as I tend to go to Windsor just for shopping and business. What a lovely oasis it is from the hustle and bustle. Looking at the diners food as it was coming out, so jealous as it looked lovely but didn't have time to stop. It's right next to park so definitely going to come back for a walk and lunch one day. Lovely quaint surroundings and friendly atmosphere you wouldn't know how close you are to the town centre. Really handy if you're visiting the castle or theatre as well.

Bob D.

Yelp
OK - from the States and lived in the UK for about 6 years. Office in Windsor... I love this place. Yes, eclectic but wonderful food and good beer. Perfect for a pub. Always packed by locals so go early and have fun. Many of my friends from the States comment on the "bad" UK food, then they obviously have not visited Two Brewers.... I will be back!

Qype User (nicjay…)

Yelp
An excellent small pub right in the heart of Windsor but often overlooked by the tourists as its tucked away at the end of a side street. The beer's good, the food is typical pub-grub (and good enough) and the setting is superb/eccentric three small bar sections with cramped tables, lots of pub memorabilia, simple tables outside on a very quite road, but right next to the gates that lead onto The Long Walk which is - you've guessed it - just perfect for a long walk after lunch. Best of all, with the exception of the loss of its old dartboard, it really hasn't changed that much in the past 40 years. Is that good or bad? Well, if you're looking for a genuine English pub as they used to be then there are few better examples in the area but, if you're looking for high quality food, slick service and a cool ambience then you're in the wrong place.

Qype User (lisaha…)

Yelp
This is a lovely traditional pub perfectly postioned near the Long Walk. They serve really good Sunday roasts and the fishcakes are delicious. It's worth booking a table in advance, as it's so popular.

Qype User (roundh…)

Yelp
Hidden in the back this atmospheric in pub acts like a local cafe or bistro for those who know it there - only a few tables so book them. Real pub food not a gastro. Good service comes from intelligent staff recruitment policy.

Qype User (Rutche…)

Yelp
This is a really good pub, always to be relied on and has been for years and years. A friendly bunch who like the fine things in life, as long as it's real. Small but perfectly formed with huge hanging baskets and window boxes outside. Tourists don't tend to go there. It's got a good range of drinks and decent enough food. I'm from Windsor. Lots of the good pubs from the past have died a death, unfortunately. They've been replaced by a bunch of soul-less haunts. This little gem is one of a few that's remained true to itself. And it's right by the Long Walk, the 'drive' that leads up to the castle, which means you can have a very pleasant stroll before or after. I have been known to get the train to Egham, walk through Windsor Great Park and to Windsor. It's a long walk but it can be done and I mention it, in case it appeals to anyone. The Two Brewers would be my destination for a drink and a meal at the end.

Joseph C.

Yelp
Great little pub with wonderful food and a good beer selection. Look at all of the pictures on the wall. They are very educational and entertaining. It has the charm of a British pub. We had a good time talking to the locals. If you want service, just ask. The staff is more than nice enough to help.

Qype User (RTove…)

Yelp
Well I have to be honest this pub is small . . . . . but I love it. It has such a nice vibe. A true english pub feel to it and on the door step(right on the gates) to the long walk and grounds of Windor castle. The beer is always good, the Guiness is perfect, the wine is beautiful and the prices are very fare. I cant say enough about this pub. The staff are fantastic and as its often very busy in the evenings they do a great job at serving and the busyness really dont put me off even though I far enjoy a quieter pub usually. A very friendly crowd and there are a few benches and tables out the front that provide a brilliant place to sit and enjoy a good few pints and have a good old chin wag. Get down there on a hot afternoon and you'll end up there for a few hours easily as its so welcoming and enjoyable. Time seems to fly by. If its a couple of drinks your after while in town for the day or if its a few drinks before heading to a bar or club then this is one of my favourite pubs by far in the area. You must give this pub a go. the only reason its not five stars is because I've never eaten there, otherwise I cant see a bad point. Just keep in mind its size so dont go down there with a party of 20! 6 or 7 and you'll be fine . . . . and the biggest group there! Enjoy.

Qype User (philip…)

Yelp
I can't believe all the bad reviews on here for this pub. I only pop here occasionally but have always found the staff friendly, the selection of beer and the food excellent. The food can take a while coming but it comes in a reasonable time, not noticeably too long. It it's usually absolutely delicious. Worth booking as it is a tiny pub. Places to sit outside worth a point on a sunny day too.

Qype User (cinnam…)

Yelp
great location' shamee about the service.
