The Union Club Hotel at Purdue University, Autograph Collection

If you have the opportunity to stay at the Union Hotel I would highly recommend it. Not only is it the best hotel in West Layette from a comfort and service standpoint but it also immerses you in a historic building and student culture. The staff called me two days before my arrival just to see if I had any special requests, reservations to make, or other concerns. There’s a tremendous sense of pride and emphasis on exceptional quality that you don’t see anywhere anymore. The onsite restaurant is excellent. The rooms are fresh and large. The shower is great. It might be the best hotel in the state of Indiana.

I'll start with the one thing that annoyed me. The hotel lobby and bar was full of kids studying. I get it is 80% student run and in the center of campus. But they are selling a hotel experience. We wanted to sit in the lobby several times and felt everything was just overcrowded. It is end of the semester but this honestly isn't the best thing. The restaurant was empty and nice. Everything is a solid 4-5 star experience. We stayed as a layover going to Chicago. We'd stay here again versus Indy. I love the entire campus hotel idea. Again, my only issue is a few "common" areas need to be decided if it is hotel or campus? Breakfast was great. The suite room was good enough for the price. The small kitchenette helped us with kid stuff. This is a very nice hotel and I love these small premium style hotels. They'd be independent hotels but join Marriott and get greater exposure.

Beautiful hotel. Very clean. Luscious bed. The room was small but offered everything we needed and wanted. Plenty of dining options within walking distance, and inside the hotel. Parking garage across the street. Both non-tesla ev charging stations in the garage were BROKEN during our stay. The only negative?: a very long walk to our room for someone still mending from a hip replacement.

If you are going to be on Purdue's Campus, this is the place to stay (this is a Marriot Autograph Collection Hotel) This is our second time staying here ( our son attends Purdue) and we will be back again for parents' weekend in September!|This hotel has been updated and has modern stylish rooms... it has as a modern yet historic boutique ambiance to it. You cannot beat the location for all things "Purdue" as it is right on campus! ||Many of the staff members are students and they are excellent at customer service, truly a pleasure to stay here. At the front desk... Jackie, Caden and Vedaant took amazing care of us. Whatever we needed or had questions about they quickly and kindly helped us. We watched as they treated each guest who approached the front desk with genuine care. AWESOME. By the time we left we felt like family, lol! Caden remembers our family every time we call. Pretty cool. Thank you, Caden. ||We also dined in the 8Eleven restaurant/bistro. We have had numerous breakfasts and several dinners here. The staff is always attentive, and the food is quite good. Boiler Up Bar is classy & cozy. As a marketing person... when it comes to customer service, I am pretty tough to please... these folks did an impressive job; a class act. I want to say to Victoria Wicks that you manage a great hotel and hire lovely people. YOU are doing a tremendous job too. If you’re coming to town for business, I came to this supposed autograph collection hotel brand for a work trip. If you come here for work be advised they don’t check the rooms or showers I got a room where the shower didn’t work, but they still sell rooms for profit. Even house keeping didn’t notice. From one business traveler to another run sub away fast from this hotel. ||The comforter had a stain on it also

Our grandson will be starting his senior year at Purdue in August and, out of the numerous visits we have made over the last three years, we had not yet had the pleasure of staying at the Union Club Hotel. My husband and I absolutely loved it. It is a true gem. It is beautiful and charming, exceptionally clean, and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. And, of course, being right on campus makes this super convenient. While here you must try the 8Eleven Modern Bistro inside the hotel. It was fabulous.

Came to the hotel for a business conference in Memorial Union and this was the hotel of choice. Great location and conveniently located. If you’re coming for a business trip go to a different hotel. Run run away from this hotel. Here is where it gets bad. For an Autograph collection hotel, the shower didn’t even work. The knob kept spinning and spinning. I sent a message to the front desk via the app and I ended up checking out a day early. Don’t stay in room 312 the shower doesn’t work. Ohhh, and this is what the comforter looked like also.

We went to the hotel bar in lobby. Waited 20-25 minutes standing at the bar waiting to put in an order. Only one bartender. Bar is packed. Husband had to get the antiseptic spray to clean our high top and bus the dirty cocktail glasses from our table (from the previous customers). This isn’t the first time that we have had sub-par service here. Beautiful hotel but they need to pay more attention to their service.
