"Committed beer fans flock to The Unknown Brewing Co.'s new rooftop bar and revamped taproom (now with double the taps!). The brewery is known for its year-round staples like Feather Light, a refreshing, low-alcohol Berliner Weisse. Other favorites include Over The Edge IPA, Pre Game session ale, and Scratch N Sniff, a light-bodied IPA. The brewery gets creative with its seasonal releases; Raisin The Roof, for instance, is a Belgian Quadrupel featuring cognac-simmered raisins and cinnamon." - Lauren Levine

I absolutely dig the vibe, space, decor, staff, and beers here! Finally came to check this place out as I continue on my Crown Town Beer Tour de Force to visit #allthebreweries My fav part of this place was the upstairs balcony! #greatviewwithabrew I really like their beer selection and offerings and they make what they have on draught pretty close to the the classic stlyes. My standout favs were their Quad and Ginger Wheat. I give total kudos to their staff for making an awkward experience into a stellar one. I tried to redeem my PintPass dollars and they were declined. After a quick call to the mgr, everything was sorted and I walked away w/some awesome stickers and a smile! The staff are so nice, engaging, and I cannot wait to return!

A unique brewery experience just outside of Uptown Charlotte. Many beers on tap in two locations with plenty of front patio space and a second level. The decor is radicle and I love it. This place usually has an event inside or within its large warehouse space. Bathrooms are always clean and the service is always chipper. Make sure you pay a visit!

The Unknown is my favorite brewery in the Charlotte area. That doesn't necessarily mean they make the best beer in town, but as far as a brewery goes, they knock it out of the park. The atmosphere is as eclectic as the beer list. The arcade room patio space and tap area are all inviting. The actual brewery space is visible through a wall of windows in the tap room, which make it feel like you're actually at a brewery rather than at a bar. The tap list is always fantastic. The left hand screen shows the mainstays which are all solid beers. On that list there is something for everyone. The right hand screen shows their seasonal and one-offs. This is where the fun really starts. The put their motto ("Live with out boundaries") where their mug is with the beers that they make, incorporating ingredients and styles that you won't find anywhere else. If you enjoy trying different beers you won't be able to avoid getting a flight here to sample all that they have. It'll be worth it.

We love unknown brewery. They brew quality beer but they also are heavily involved in community events. They're always willing to host and/or support events that benefit amazing charities. They have a small, but nice, outside space, with a dual level indoor space. Great pizza food truck too.

Today was our first time going there. We were out at the dog park so we had our pups with us and we wanted to try the craft ginger ale, so we stopped by. The staff behind the bar was super friendly and welcomed us and our pups! The place was bright and clean and had a really comfortable feel to it. We sat inside and tried the ginger ale (cans as the draught was tapped from the event the night before) and it was really good. We took a 4-pack home with us. We will definitely go back to try the draught as well as the beers!

A great stop along the Charlotte Brews Cruise Tour! The story of the owner is hilariously inspiring and with beers named Pre-Game, Hospitali-tea, Bright Ass Tanktop and Over the Edge and Stupid there's something for everyone. Enjoy the time spent with your friends or just make new ones.

Solid location. Two stories with city views from the roof top. Delicious cider beers on tap. Don’t serve food but often have a food truck on site.

Craft beer and adventure. Their motto is "live without boundaries" and their beer represents that. On any given visit we found adventurous flavors to try. But the Over the Edge IPA has become my favorite to drink followed by the session IPA Pre-game. My wife likes the Ginger Wheat. Also, the food from Passport Dough was great.
