It's a bunkhouse so don't expect perfection. What you get is a warm, clean room with a comfortable bunk to lay your head. The bar downstairs serves very nice beer and fresh cooked pizza that you order in advance. Similarly, you order your breakfast the night before and will find it being cooked fresh when you come down. I was tempted to stay a second night but this was a stop on my way to the Dragon Rally but I'll be back another time.

Second time here for me,on the way to the dragon rally , handy stop off for the night before, accommodation is basic but food is really good , great atmosphere fantastic staff, all in all a great place at a realistic price highly recommended 👍

This is one of the best bunkhouses I have visited! As an adventure training instructor I have visited a few.|After phoning to make sure they had a bunk available,I was greeted by the lovely Cally who sorted out my bunk and explained how everything worked.|The place uses codes for entry in and to access the rooms.|The facilities are more than adequate with great showers and comfy clean bunks.|The lounge and bar have a great boho feel and are indicative of the outward bound spirit and the decoration reflects this !|Having read some of the negative reviews all I can say is what complete tosh ! .The breakfast was great cooked again by the lovely Cally.I will definitely be staying again |Do not miss out on this little gem in the heart of some of the most scenic country side you will find in this country!|Thank you Cally and team |Gary

Don't waste your money staying here..Cally charged me twice for the same pizza ( theif) (£12) and still after contacting her multiple times I still haven't been reimbursed! How many other people does she do this to?|| She also accused me of stealing a breakfast after she gave one to me on my second morning when I hadn't even ordered one..( sge rushes around too much and makes mistakes).I didn't order one after the first because they were disgusting!! You could taste the old burnt oil all day! ||Go to the train station for breakfast, cafe with pictures of gorillas is amazing! Evening meals go to stables behind the royal oak hotel.

Lovely place to stay with friendly staff and clean rooms. They had extensions leads to help with plug and each bunk had its own light. Great location and dog friendly too! You can add on breakfast for £6 per person which was very tasty.

Very relaxed. Bunks are small and some flexibility required for upper bunk . A Good bar. Breakfast and fresh coffee good.

Stayed here recently for couple of nights. Limited parking at the bunkhouse but if your here in the late afternoon or evening plenty of free parking on the main road. Just drop your bags off first and leave your car there for your stay. Bus and train are short distance away, Easier and cheaper to use them than using your own car and support a much needed local service. Accommodation is basic but then it is cheap. Food available at bunkhouse but plenty of pubs in town to. Breakfast is £7 and looked good. Showers are mixed sex and tiny cubicles, which can be a pain, but was ok for my stay. All in all cheap, cheerful, safe and ideal place to stay to explore the local area. Ill def be back.
