Very friendly, helpful staff. Lovely home cooked pizzas for evening meal option and great breakfast. Couple of minutes walk from the picturesque town centre. Clean and tidy. No problems with parking right next to the bunkhouse.||Accommodation information states the kitchen is out of use, but it turns out you can use the kitchen when not in use by staff. Wish I'd know this earlier in stay in order to bring some of our own food and save some money. Dated, basic rooms but beds were comfortable. Fairly pricy for what you get but I guess it's all relative as Betws-y-Coed is generally an expensive place to stay.

I love this hostel ❤️ great atmosphere, great communication- checking in and out, ordering food, getting local advice. The rooms are clean and have lovely views out into the forests. Would totally recommend to someone that wants to get away, do some walking and have a mixture of space and community. In particular as a woman I feel safe to travel alone to this region and this town- people will respect your space but also check in to make sure you are ok. Thanks for another wonderful stay ❤️

Stayed here recently. The hostel is well-maintained and clean overall, with easy access to Betws-y-Coed center and convenient public transport links. The only issue was the toilet on the 1st floor, which wasn’t very clean. Otherwise, a good and affordable place to stay

The Vagabond Bunkhouse is a beautiful old world style building, set in a tranquil area with a lovely forest backdrop. The staff are very friendly and the pizzas are some of the best we've ever had. Location is perfect for exploring Betws-y-Coed and the surrounding areas. You can walk to the local restaurants, Spar, Londis and the station, where you can catch the excellent Sherpa'r bus to-and-from Snowdon if you're planning to hike up. An all-day 'bws' ticket for the family is £15, which is good value as you don't need to worry about parking at Snowdon. Back at the Vagabond the rooms are pretty basic but clean and comfortable. The family room (sleeps 5) has two bunk beds: one with single up and down, and one with a single on top and a double (3/4) under. It also had a small basin but nothing more. Being a bunk house the toilets and showers are communal. The dining area and deck have lovely wooden tables and are welcoming. The Vagabond serves pizza for supper and a full cooked breakfast (extra charges). Considering the limited menu I don't think they would have a problem if you bought your own food to eat there. Pros: location, affordability, great staff. Cons: not self catering, communal facilities.

Stayed there for accommodation. Not ideal if you want a good night sleep. Bar area and communal areas below the rooms, and had to ask for music to be turned off and for other guests to be quiet at 3am on a Wednesday night. Shame because I was ideal location and good facilities, fire doors also kept waking us up.

Nice little bunkhouse to get your head down after a day enjoying the great outdoors. ||We had a warm welcome from Cally when we arrived, after a nice hot shower we enjoyed a cold pint and hot pizza and rested up after our day out on our mountain bikes. Vagabond has a small lounge/bar area and small dining room and large outside terrace. Where guests can relax away from their rooms. It’s everything you could need.

Stayed for a night with friends after climbing Snowdon during the day - does exactly what is says on the tin! Clean, comfy and affordable with free parking and a very handy location in the village - walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Cally & Neil were very helpful and other guests we bumped into were friendly. Thanks!

First time staying in a hostel and this place made it such a positive experience! As a young woman delving into the hostel world for the first time i was a little anxious but the atmosphere at the Vagabond eased me so much! All staff as well as guests were so lovely and it was such a good crowd because everyone is there for the same reasons allowing for endless nights of chatter and games ! The rooms were what you would expect from a hostel, the beds comfy, kitchen facilities absolutely fine and bathroom and shower areas were clean consistently. The only thing I would say is that the beds are creaky climbing up the ladders which made me nervous getting up and down for fear of waking or disturbing people. Having said that no one complained and everyone was lovely about it. Overall amazing experience and so so happy to have chosen The Vagabond for my first hostel !
