Stayed for a night with friends after climbing Snowdon during the day - does exactly what is says on the tin! Clean, comfy and affordable with free parking and a very handy location in the village - walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Cally & Neil were very helpful and other guests we bumped into were friendly. Thanks!

Nice little bunkhouse to get your head down after a day enjoying the great outdoors. ||We had a warm welcome from Cally when we arrived, after a nice hot shower we enjoyed a cold pint and hot pizza and rested up after our day out on our mountain bikes. Vagabond has a small lounge/bar area and small dining room and large outside terrace. Where guests can relax away from their rooms. It’s everything you could need.

First time staying in a hostel and this place made it such a positive experience! As a young woman delving into the hostel world for the first time i was a little anxious but the atmosphere at the Vagabond eased me so much! All staff as well as guests were so lovely and it was such a good crowd because everyone is there for the same reasons allowing for endless nights of chatter and games ! The rooms were what you would expect from a hostel, the beds comfy, kitchen facilities absolutely fine and bathroom and shower areas were clean consistently. The only thing I would say is that the beds are creaky climbing up the ladders which made me nervous getting up and down for fear of waking or disturbing people. Having said that no one complained and everyone was lovely about it. Overall amazing experience and so so happy to have chosen The Vagabond for my first hostel !

It's a bunkhouse so don't expect perfection. What you get is a warm, clean room with a comfortable bunk to lay your head. The bar downstairs serves very nice beer and fresh cooked pizza that you order in advance. Similarly, you order your breakfast the night before and will find it being cooked fresh when you come down. I was tempted to stay a second night but this was a stop on my way to the Dragon Rally but I'll be back another time.

Such a nice place to stay nice spacious rooms with comfy beds and nice pillow's and blankets very helpful friendly staff who made us more than welcome 4 off us where supposed to be staying but unfortunately my friend cut his hand off making a cheese and pickle sandwich so we was down to 3 but we still had a great time we where in Wales for the annual "TIGHT SHOES AND STEWS" festival its a great weekend's entertainment and very hard to get tickets basically the contestants have to wear a new pair of leather shoes 2 sizes to small very uncomfortable and make a chicken or beef or lamb or cucumber stew whilst in utter agony from the shoes it's such a hoot to see people in such pain we where laughing our heads off one ladies leg started swelling up and turned purple the crowd was cheering and laughing its such a family event one man was in such pain whilst making his stew he had temporary blindness and accidentally put his hand into a pot off boiling beef stew yet again the crowd gave a roaring cheer I didn't see who won because the "JUST STOP TIGHT SHOES AND STEWS" protesters arrived and started chucking ORANGE stew everywhere shame as we where have a whale of a time .10/10

Stayed there for accommodation. Not ideal if you want a good night sleep. Bar area and communal areas below the rooms, and had to ask for music to be turned off and for other guests to be quiet at 3am on a Wednesday night. Shame because I was ideal location and good facilities, fire doors also kept waking us up.

Great stay! Location and rooms were perfect, and Cally makes a hearty breakfast which is good value. Highly recommend!

A really good service - good pizzas, good food, enough space to get around the room - a little more furniture in the room would be handy but didn't make a huge difference! Would happily come back again (and likely will)
