The Vale Niseko (ザ・ヴェール・ニセコ)

Our family recently spent a week @ The Vale in a 3 bed YOTEI apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was well appointed, comfortable and immaculate. Location was perfect for us - right next to lifts, ski hire, ski lockers, ski instructiors and easy walking distance to all local restaurants and facilities. The complimentary guest transport was a fabulous touch too and very much appreciated. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming at all times. Onsen on site and spa were great too. Special shout out to Gustav, Zac and Rachel. We look forward to returning.

Just completed our wonderful stay at Vale Niskeo over the New Year. We stayed in a one bedroom residence and it was spacious for our family of 4 people. The washer and dryer was awesome and extremely useful. Special shoutout to the concierge team (Jessica, Gustav and Jazmine) as they were very helpful throughout the process. After the hotel booking, the concierge team reached out on multiple occasions to ensure we had made all our transport, ski rental/ lift ticket and restaurant booking. They coordinated the ski rental return for us as well upon check out. We hope to return next year as it’s been a wonderful holiday and ski in Japow is just an awesome experience. We were very fortunate to ski in actual snow as most of US didn’t see much ski in the resorts.

Great hotel in an excellent location — everything was easy and convenient. The hotel offers lots of thoughtful extra services that really make a difference, including cars that can drive you around town, which was incredibly helpful, especially in winter. The standout, though, was the staff. The reception team and concierge were consistently friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. A special shout-out to Donna, Rory, Jasmine, and Gustav — they truly went above and beyond. They were always happy to research things for us, give great local advice, book lessons and activities, and help with any request we had. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Their attention to detail and willingness to help made our trip so easy and stress-free, and really elevated the whole experience. Thanks to them, our time in Japan was even more memorable. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

We stayed at The Vale Niseko for our Christmas vacation and our first trip to Niseko, and we were so impressed by the property, but even more impressed by the customer service. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel incredibly welcome. The team was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful, and it never felt forced. They truly went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of, which meant a lot to us. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a modern design, and is conveniently located right at the base of the Ace Family Quad Lift. Our room was a suite-style connecting apartment and studio with a kitchen and tatami room, which was perfect for our stay. But what really stood out was the people. Benji, Donna, and Holly were absolutely wonderful and made such a positive impression on our stay. Benji, Arvid, and Charlie also went above and beyond by driving us around and taking us wherever we needed to go, which made everything so easy and stress free. Gustav was also incredibly kind and helpful. Every interaction felt genuine, which is not something you experience everywhere. We have stayed at many hotel brands known for great customer service, but The Vale truly takes the cake. We know we did not get everyone’s name, but we are incredibly grateful to the entire team. Everyone played a role in making our stay unforgettable and truly special. We left feeling very touched by the outstanding hospitality and will absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting.

My family had a great stay at The Vale. It's ski-in/out location, access to kid-friendly family slopes/lifts and ski-school is unparalleled. We used the hotel's own Onsen every day before and after we hit the mountain, and the apartment was spacious enough to be happy having a "night in with a pizza and a movie". The staff were fantastic - they went above and beyond whenever we had a question or needed anything. Special shout-out to Charlie, Halle, Jasmyn, James and Belle > you guys made the difference. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at The Vale Hotel. The location is perfect for skiing — only about 50 meters from the Ace Family Lift, and just a 5-minute walk to convenience store and restaurants. The onsen was also a great bonus, perfect for relaxing after a long day on the slopes. The shuttle service was one of our favorite parts of the stay. It can pick you up and drop you off anywhere in town, which was a huge help for us since we didn’t drive. All of the staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay. I’d like to especially thank Jessica, Zack, and Jack, along with all the other staff who helped us — they really made us feel at home. Would definitely recommend staying here if you plan to ski in Grand Hirafu.

Great ski in and ski out hotel to stay! There is a gondola and slope right behind the hotel which is beginner friendly. The bus to Hanazono also stops right outside the hotel. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the slopes, physio/pilates studio, convenience store and some restaurants and food trucks. The gear rental shop right at the lobby was an ultimate convenience too. We had some credit to offset the gear rental fees as the onsen was closed for maintenance throughout our stay. The staff were all really nice. They were especially helpful in arranging transport when needed - to a slightly further gondola base for our lessons, and also picked us up and dropped us back at the Welcome Centre. We really appreciated this a lot as we did not drive. The rooms were spacious enough and the in-room washing machine was really handy. Would love to stay here again if a next Niseko trip materialises, and hopefully enjoy the onsen!

Our first time in Niseko and we stayed at the Vale. The location was great, close to the main Middle Hirafu area but not right on top of the busy areas. The staff were amazing. They knew our family by name from the time we arrived, always greeted us in the morning and afternoon after a day’s skiing. The private shuttle rides were very convenient and always ready as promised (thanks Rachel and Ben!). Gus on concierge was knowledgeable of the area, and helped us arrange quite a few parts of our stay. A big thanks to Jessica, who was very sweet to our daughter throughout our stay, but also the whole team there!
