The Valley Bistro, Wine Boutique & Deli

We decided to make a trip to Riebeek Wes today and saw this lovely restaurant. Courtyard is lovely and the waiter was amazing. The owner came and chatted with us and she was lovely. Food was great and the portions generous. Will definitely be making regular trips to this restaurant.

Even though we were only passing through, everybody was still super friendly. Shelves were stocked with fresh organic goods which seem quite popular with the locals. An extensive wine and bubbly bar in the back. Although we didn’t stay for a bite, the breakfast crowd were quickly filling the seats so am leaving it on my to do list for next time.

This place is so good. Went there as looked sweet from outside. New ish owner is just getting this place but in meantime offered a lovely small menu which was Devine…. We had a platter, garlic bread and pizza to share and it was delicious. The platter was so good and could easily be shared amongst 4 people. The rest was lovely too. The owner was lovely and they had a nice high tea set up for a family inside which looked beautifully decorated. You can go to the back deli and select your own wine - overall would definitely recommend and would love to go back there soon. Good luck to new owner, I hope this one is very successful.

Drove from Cape Town for a day out and called about mid-morning on Mother’s Day to see if we could get a booking for a big table (trying our luck). They made a plan to stay open later for us, setting up the most beautiful table and going out of their way for us with focaccias on the house (even a gluten free one) and putting together incredible meals for us, as well as recommending wonderful wine. Such a wonderful little find, we will certainly be back. Friendly, welcoming staff and delicious food. Thank you for making our day special!

The Deli and restaurant is situated in the middle of town and is easy to reach when you enter Riebeek Kasteel... They serve lunch daily and dinner on Fridays. Dinner recently with the Mardigra was so good, enjoying their delicious pizzas and cocktails. If you decide to do lunch, do try their delicious platters, promise that you will be back for more. A recent theme evening (Mamma Mia) was so much fun with a delicious and interesting menu (Greek inspired)

A must visit when in Riebeek Kasteel. Stunning menu with really good food. Staff and owner very friendly, helpfull and profesional. The deli side is just incredible. Incredible selection of food and probably the best selection of dried herbs and spices i have ever seen. Stocking great wines.

This restaurant has the potential to be THE goto place in Riebeeck Valley.The seating outside and inside are cosy.The bar is slightly disarrayed with bottles standing all over. The menu is a fully comprehensive menu with everything your heart desires. There was no manager in sight on our visit on 3 October and the waitresses were running around trying to be friendly and helpful. The food was adequate but the cheese platter needed more finesse for the price. Keep up the good work and waiter training can only benefit this gem🤗🤗

Attention to detail in everyway makes for a wonderful experience. It's become my regular stopover for breakfast when travelling. I had the Wild Mushroom breakfast twice in 1 week. YUM!!
