I tried the Eggs Benedict with caramelised pumpkin and toasted ciabatta, and it was a really enjoyable dish. The sweetness of the pumpkin added a nice touch that worked well with the hollandaise and poached eggs. The ciabatta was well toasted — crisp on the outside and soft inside, giving a good texture to the meal. The presentation was neat, and the portion size felt just right — satisfying without being too heavy. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the twist with caramelised pumpkin made it a bit different from the usual Eggs Benedict. Paired with a good coffee, it made for a lovely, relaxed Sunshine Coast brunch.

Smoothie was top notch , best I've had in a loooong time, food was just as good. Great vibe , cool design. Coffee selection unlike anything I've ever seen before , I'll be driving up from Brisbane just to run through the coffees. If you are in the area get amongst it.

One of the things I liked most was the personal and friendly service. You can tell that the staff make an effort to ensure a positive experience for every customer. The place is so nice, the back yard dog friendly is big and perfect spot for a coffee and breakfast. The variety available is enough to adapt to different tastes and they do daily fresh home made cookiessss, really worth getting one!! This is a place I would happily return to, very close to Mooloolaba main area.

I tried the smashed avocado and berry bloom. Both were really good. I liked the fact that the smoothie didn’t have added sugar. The service was very fast. Highly recommend it.

I used to come here regularly for the salmon eggs benedict — it was always amazing! However, the menu has recently changed (possibly under new management), and the dish just isn’t quite the same. The salmon now tastes more like tinned fish, and the portion sizes seem smaller than before. That said, the crepes are still fantastic, and the drinks are absolutely excellent. Overall, it’s still a nice spot for breakfast or brunch, but the standard has dropped a little from what it used to be. I’d still recommend giving it a try!

What a great little neighborhood spot for a coffee! We stopped in for an iced coffee and milkshake in between running errands. Will absolutely be back! One of the better coffees I've had lately and cute decor.

Lovely little cafe in the suburbs - friendly staff and great location. It was quite busy when we visited for lunch and breakfast, but overall a lovely experience! Outdoor seating is dog friendly. If we visit QLD again, we'll be sure to come back.

We visited velo after 9am on a Thursday morning. It was not busy and not quiet, lovely in other words. We enjoyed the food, we got breakfast rolls, on K-pop style bagel one bacon and egg both with their own velo project spin. The flavours worked, the portion was great for me, the food looked good, the prices were pretty standard for fresh food made on site. I like it!

Yelp
I feel like I'm in real Australia eating here. A funky, beachside cafe with great food and service. All baked goods made daily. Muffins already sold out when we arrived at 11:15 so we had a piece of banana bread. It was more like a banana pudfing with fruit piled high. I then had avocado smash with poached eggs. Avocado mixed with corn. So good. My husband enjoyed chicken crepes and our son had a wrap and a homemade smoothie. I also had a cup log single origin coffee. Very strong but o was warned. Just passing through so sadly won't be back. I love dining like the locals and this place definitely for the bill.

Yelp
This place is great to sit, talk, eat and have a coffee, but I wouldn't go if you're in a rush. The service was great, but maybe a bit slow/disorganised and was the only negative. The coffee and food is actually excellent! 10/10 Wouldn't change a thing. Not the cheapest breakfast/lunch, was ~$49 for two mains and drinks, but it's fantastic quality and the servings are a good size :)

Yelp
Guys, there's a menu for dogs. Let's forget that it's a cafe for humans for just a tic. There's. A. Dog. Menu. And you better believe that I turned into one of *those* dog people and ordered my canine a doggy donut and a puppy latte (with shaved liver treat on top). He lapped it up faster than you could snap a photo for social validation on Instagram. But sincerely, that menu had nothing to do with our choice to stop at Velo Project on our way to the beach this past weekend. In fact, what led us to discover they had a dog menu in the first place was a quick Google en-route to make sure they were even dog friendly. TICK! As we drove through the residential streets of Mooloolaba, I was for a moment concerned I'd led us on a goose chase. This happens often with my partner asking, "Can't we just pick somewhere and not be always looking for this spot you saw on Yelp / Instagram / The Internets?!" He's a patient man because he knows 9 times out of 10, the goose chase pays off. The Velo Project is located in a suburban street, so don't be alarmed when your GPS starts leading you on a tour of Moolooaba's residential housing lots. For us mere humans, the Velo Project runs an all day breakfast menu and a tidy lunch menu. The menu, pasted into old books, has something for everyone with the majority of items leaning towards organic and health-focused options. Being past lunch we both opted for the lamb burger with beetroot relish. Easy to eat in one hand, this burger hits the sides of your stomach and leaves you letting our a sigh of contentment. We've already proclaimed this the stop of choice when travelling to the Coolum dog beach. Here's to many more puppy lattes and next time a cold drip for me!

Yelp
Great patio! Food was excellent. Their smashed avocado was delicious! My brekkie mates loved their crepes and toast.

Yelp
Sunday morning, 9am, not the time of day I'd prefer to head out to a new place for breakfast. Firstly, because I'm starving by then but also because surely everywhere is overflowing and the wait will be long. But not this time, seated straight away and water with lemon brought over. The Velo Project is tucked away in a back street but is a treat. The interior is rustic with mismatched chairs and tables and antiques hung on the walls, the coffee is delicious and the menu full of delicious sounding food (also the menu is inside an old history textbook which I loved). I had the cold drip which was strong, sweet and just right for a hot summer morning and avocado on toast. Friends I was with had a chai latte - very good I'm told- and a berry smoothing -amazing, was the verdict- and they were pretty happy that I decided to try somewhere new. I'm now in charge of picking all the time apparently!

Yelp
Great food! Best breakfast in Mooloolaba. Super friendly wait staff. Highly recommend. So good we went back for breakfast the next day. We had two different crepes and they were AMAZING! Prosciutto with artichoke hearts, and salmon with fennel. Can't say enough good things about this place!

Yelp
Lovely little neighborhood restaurant. The decor was so quaint and homey. Complete with mismatched chairs and vintage tables, this reminded me of a farmhouse. Old knick knacks like games, books, jars, etc makes me want to hang out. Menus were presented in an old book. Menu items were inventive and fresh!! We tried 2 of their refreshing blended juices. Portions were humongous! I think we could have shared but I wanted to try everything! Unfortunately because we were traveling I had a lot of leftovers I couldn't take home. I would suggest you share several plates if it's a larger party. If it's two people, probably share the hunters breakfast and a juice. Sourdough bread that came with the avocado breakfast was so delicious! Not a typical breakfast place. Wanted to come here every day! It would be a cute date place for dinner, but too bad they close after lunch.

Yelp
I had a lovely breakfast here. The Canadian crepes with bacon, banana, maple syrup and eggs. Really well cooked and presented and the cafe has a nice atmosphere. My pot of tea was served on a lovely silver tray too, which was a bit cute. It's a little out of the way ( near mooloolaba state school) compared to the cafes on the Esplanade but it's extremely busy. I sat at the communal table in the middle of the cafe and didn't feel like I was squashed in, even though it was packed. The menus are inside old books and there's lots of quirky little things to look at while enjoying your food.

Yelp
This was a wholly delightful experience with eclectic ambiance, delicious food and friendly service. The music and decor add to the homey and hipster atmosphere and aid the brunch experience. The board games on each table are a quirky touch too! The food was outstanding and one could taste the attention to detail the chefs had obviously included alongside their passion. Coffee was an absolute delight served in vintage cups and saucers. Rich flavours and earthy timbres. Thanks for a great experience!

Yelp
Awesome, funky little cafe. The food is delicious and the coffee is great. The staff are always friendly. Easily the best spot on the coast for breakfast or brunch!

Yelp
Third time visiting this place. Staff are super friendly and obviously really well trained. It's casual, relaxed and yet a great place to talk business. Would 100% recommend ;)
