The buffet was as excellent as always, with every dish maintaining a high standard. The sashimi was especially fresh, as always here — you never have to worry about quality. The buffet usually focuses on Western cuisine, but since it’s Lunar New Year, there were more Chinese dishes this time, and they turned out to be surprisingly delicious as well. What delighted me most was the French-style pancake — the blend of orange liqueur flavor was just right, making it a perfect ending to the meal.In my opinion, beyond the food, the atmosphere and service are the real highlights here. This visit was just as enjoyable as before. If I had to nitpick, the only minor drawback was that plate changing was a bit slow, though still acceptable.

The breakfast offers a varieties and western, Japanese and Chinese food. The typical egg station for different kinds of eggs preparation. I ordered poached eggs directly with the server as the egg station only has the frying pan. Various cold cut with smoked salmon. Salads with kale and mixed spring greens. The Japanese station is a bit disappointing as it only has miso soup, cucumber slice with plum and hot spring eggs. I rarely have pastry and was eager to try the apricot danish but it’s quite disappointing as the pastry is not crispy at all. The Chinese station dim sum is overcooked since they are sitting at the warmer for a while. Overall food is okay given it’s within a 5-star hotel. The best part of the breakfast is the exceptional level of service they offer. They all are very attentive and courteous. I thoroughly enjoy the high level of service they offer and very much look forward to breakfast tomorrow again.

The Peninsula is the grand dame of Hong Kong’s hotels. Just a few minutes inside it tells you why. This is old school luxury. We didn’t find it fussy, but we did find it on the formal side with magnificent service and the best food we had during our last trip to Asia. It was worth every penny that we paid, and we still talk about what an enjoyable experience the Pen was. We look forward to visiting this magnificent place again on our next visit, and plan to stay here instead of at its newer, more modern competitors. The elegance here is almost without compare.

Verandah in the Peninsula Hotel for lunch was an exceptional experience! The lunch buffet offered a stunning array of dishes, including abalone, wagyu rump, honey-glazed ham, and fresh sushi. The highlight for me was the king crab legs and the assorted Peninsula-designed cakes and desserts—each one was a masterpiece. The atmosphere is quiet and elegant, with spacious seating and breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour. The majestic setting truly enhances the dining experience. Service was impeccable; the reception staff greeted us warmly, and throughout our meal, other staff members ensured we had fresh water and cleared our dishes promptly. The attention to detail, including the white-gloved service, made us feel truly special. While the buffet is on the expensive side, the quality and variety of the offerings make it well worth the price. If you’re looking for a luxurious lunch experience with high-end cuisine, I highly recommend Verandah!

As soon as I walked into the restaurant, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and a friendly vibe. The staff was super attentive and nice, making sure I enjoyed every bit of my meal. The buffet spread was absolutely amazing! Every dish looked great and was packed with flavor. I especially loved the abalone, soup, and the curry dishes, they were cooked just right and really showed off the skills of the kitchen team. The variety offered catered to all tastes, making it a delightful experience for everyone at the table.

Excellent experience overall with food and service. Food was refilled quickly until very late. Seafood was fresh and with many hot food selection. The dessert selection was amazing and must not be passed on. The quality of food is higher than most hotel buffets and as expected from the Peninsula.

Though it is a famous view and filming location. Today is Friday, there are lots of people here for lunch, too noisy, the service just standard. Food menu is mainly Mediterranean diet, not quite suitable for child, the dessert is failure, if you like Mediterranean food this restaurant is your best choice. BTW limited parking spaces.

The food is good. They have seafood (shrimp, abalone )for lunch buffet but no lobster The sashimi is quite fresh but limited choice. The dessert look v nice but not so many choices too. The service is also very good. It is recommended

An amazing buffet!!! We came in as they opened and got seated right away. The food was absolutely delicious. I had abalone and a bunch of seafood that I had never seen before. The sushi /sashimi was fresh and generously sliced. Prime rib on the carving station was perfect. The salads were tasty. ( I am not sure what I ate but it was unforgettable). And let me tell you about the deserts: FABULOUS. I never thought mango and chocolate would be so good. Definitely a must try. Hint: you need to have reservations.

This was my last meal in Hong Kong and it did not disappoint!!! I wanted to try at least one meal at the historic Peninsula hotel before I left so I stopped in for breakfast. Had the following dishes: 1. Steamed shrimp and bamboo shoot dumplings 2. Beef dumplings 3. Steamed pork, shrimp and garlic chive dumplings 4. Pan-fried bean cured skin rolls 5. Omelet with a side of bacon The all you can eat breakfast is really representative of the multicultural city that Hong Kong is. I spent most of my time in the dim sum section, but I also had an over easy egg cooked Japanese style, some American eggs and bacon, and there were also croissants and other European style breakfast dishes. The service was incredible! The staff was extremely attentive and helpful and they made us feel very pampered.

Came here for small wedding dinner. My second time having buffet in Hong Kong. It is completely different than in Toronto. My expectations were high since the restaurant is located on the second floor of the Peninsula Hotel. Walked in and was greeted immediately and shown to our tables located in a more private corner of the restaurant. Reservation were made 6 months prior to the date. Not sure how long you have to book but there is no way you will get a table with a few days notice, so book weeks ahead if not months. Service was impeccable. Food was even better than expectations. See photos. lobster, abalone, crab, sushi....you name it... done in small batches to maintain freshness. Remember to save room for dessert. Well worth the $600 or so cost per person. For a special occasion and to over indulge you must try the best buffet in Hong Kong.

Had the buffet lunch here - the food quality and variety definitely justified the price. They have the typical sashimi including salmon and scallop. In addition, they had abalone (a famous chinese delicacy) and lobster tail! Environment was relaxing and the service was decent (could be better for a 5 star hotel, but no complaints). We were there for 2 hours and was never rushed. Definitely would recommend to try at least once if in Hong Kong. The famous hotel itself also lives up to its reputation.

Excellent service and wide variety of delicious food! Make sure you make a reservation in advance as the restaurant gets booked up quickly.

Definitely a buffet to splurge on...they also offer leg of lamb and filet mignon, for the non seafood eaters

How can I say perfection! Everything from the moment you enter the property. Thank you for keeping the tradition going. You really set the bar for the others in service, style, tradition, and quality cuisine.

Lavish Sunday brunch... bevy of fresh crab, abalone, prawn and others to start... Prime rib and supporting mains from curry to paella and save some space for desserts including super yummy souffle... lovely environs and great service make this a wonderful experience
