The Victoria Hotel Dunedin

First room TV didn't work properly so they moved us to another room. The bathroom didn't drain properly and wet the edge of the carpet. They moved us to our third room which is hopeful. They comped us to nights parking ($40). Not a lot but something Regardless the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The hotel rooms are 5 star plus. Very well appointed. Room had microwave, plates cups and glasses so you can heat up some food for those times you want to stay in your room. Bathroom has a awesome shower.

My husband and I have just been to the Victoria Hotel restaurant "Well Manor" for our evening meal. It was so good I've decided to write a review. The people serving us were fantastic very kind and helpful. We both enjoyed our food it looked really good when it came out and a high standard of presentation and the food itself. What I liked was that everything was so clean the ambience was really good my husband's adding that the chairs were comfortable, he said the 🥗 salad was one of the better salads he had eaten while out and he commented on how reasonably priced the food was. We had a window seat so we were able to look out which I enjoyed as well. I can't complain about anything even the garden was beautiful. We met the gardener on the way back to the car and not only was the staff inside really helpful and friendly he also was a very friendly person.

Nice rooms and nice staff but absolutely disgusting food from the restaurant. The worst dinner I've ever had at a hotel restaurant in NZ. (Room service) I've stayed at hundreds. The breakfast buffet is very, very average. The scrambled eggs are horrendous. When you hire people who don't know how to cook western food and you don't bother to train them, then you are doomed. Good luck.

The facilities in the room were great, even though I felt like there was a weird division of space. The team was very attentive and kind. Nevertheless, I didn't really feel at "home", but maybe the intention of the place is to be a hotel.

A basic, functional property lucky enough to have a good address. A bit tired and dated though and the first impression of three old men siting, smoking at a small table in the covered entranceway was mildly off-putting. Forgettable dining room.

Super friendly and warm staff, great location, clean and tidy room.Actually I think they could update thier photos on the website, the King room I stayed in was way much better than it looked online😂😂

Amazing service, understanding and availability during flight disruption and cancellation, my extended stay was greatly appreciated and being so central was perfect.
