The Victorian Fox

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Victorian Fox. The owners have thought of everything! The decor is so well done and makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. The kitchen is well equipped with all the things that you'd need. The first floor is very open with a large dining table that would be great for sharing a meal with a group. We chose to stay in the Baker bedroom and loved looking at all the vintage photos of nearby Hotel Baker. The blackout drapes in the room kept the light out better than any other hotel room we've ever stayed in. The location is perfect! It's within walking distance of the river as well as many great restaurants and shops. We made a reservation at a nearby restaurant and enjoyed walking home. I could definitely see staying here with a few other couples or with a group of girls for a fun weekend in town.

The Victorian Fox exceeded expectations for my group! There were 11 of us coming into town for my buddy's wedding and the hosts here were super accommodating! They left us charcuterie cups, donuts, personal soap/body scrub samples, and were available often if we needed any information or help. The house itself is gorgeous. Victorian is the right word to describe it, but it was updated in all the ways that mattered practically and tastefully! The house is situated VERY close to downtown St Charles, so our group made a couple short walks there to explore, grab a meal, or find a fun bar. Our hosts also went out of their way to make an itinerary of recommendations for us while we were in town! They've partnered with a couple places where you can get a discount if you mention you're staying at the Victorian Fox. We were only there for a weekend, but we packed a lot in and had so much fun. The only way the experience could have been better was if one or two of the king beds (which were super nice and comfortable) could be transformed into two twin beds, since one of our group's singles had to sleep on the couch downstairs. Otherwise if you're going to St Charles, Batavia, Geneva, or anywhere close it'd be a mistake to not go with the Victorian Fox.

Beautiful and unique stay in downtown St. Charles. The location was perfect (<5 minute walk from bars, restaurants, etc.). The place is beautifully decorated. You really feel like you’ve stepped back in time. 3 floors, multiple bedrooms, large beds, 2.5 baths, and a lovely private patio area. Very fun stay for a GNO!

This place is beautiful! Close to everything downtown St. Charles has to offer. Love the pond in the backyard.

Recently stayed here for a girls night in staycation and was beyond impressed! I’m from the area and to find this hidden gem in the heart of town was amazing. Each room was remarkable and cozy. It’s been a few weeks since I visited and I’m STILL talking about it. Beautiful space. Can’t wait to stay again

I hosted a girls night in at The Victorian Fox and I couldn’t have been more pleased. The host Sam is amazing and extremely accommodating. The house itself is beautiful and decorated so well. The rooms are all themed and the beds are the comfiest you could ask for. I would stay here again and again. Thank you Sam!!

Amidst walking into this beautiful home, I was immediately transported to Victorian times. This home was so thoughtfully decorated,from the door handles, to the light fixtures, to the personalized room names, the tranquil backyard, I was just in awww and had to explore. I would 100 percent stay at this property again. Very clean environment, it’s what I would call a hidden gem.

One of my good friends, who’s the owner of The Hallow Traveler, utilize this beautiful vintage Airbnb to host a prosecco & pajama girls night. Everything about this space was wonderful decorated flowed giving you that comfy home away from feel. And the backyard was very warm & peaceful I’d definitely suggest this. The owners are super sweet. So go check it out!
