Celebrated my wife's birthday with a 2-night stay in an upper shoreside room. The view of the lighthouse was spectacular, and you can hear the waves from the location. Enjoyed the sauna, hot tub and heated saltwater pool. The open spaces overlooking the water are wonderful. The check in staff is superb. They not only tell you where things are but are willing to escort you to the locations. Highly recommend this property.

This is our fourth time staying at the ViewPoint Hotel. Each stay has been incredible - relaxing, restorative, and a perfect escape to beautiful surroundings. The rooms are well-appointed and very comfortable, offering stunning views of the Nubble Lighthouse. The outside deck provided a great view of the Nubble and was the perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee or an evening cocktail. ||The staff are some of the best we have ever encountered on our travels. Exceptionally friendly and helpful, we always feel welcome from the moment we step onto the property. As a repeat customer, having staff remember you and greet you back with a warm welcome makes it clear that you are appreciated as a guest. We can't say enough good things about them. ||We dined at the on-site restaurant, "a little auk", on two evenings, and the food was fantastic. We highly recommend it. And the pool offered a great way to spend a relaxing, sunny afternoon, swimming, enjoying beverages, and sneaking in a quick nap.||The ViewPoint is one of our favorite destinations, and we look forward to a return visit.

Great Views. If you are looking for low key, quiet, with amazing views this is your place. A short drive to the beach and town but just a walk to the lighthouse. It’s unique, hard to explain. I’ll post some more pictures and add to the review once we get done with this adventure down the NE Coastline from North to South.

An amazing experience from start to finish, each and every employee was friendly, knowledgeable & gracious! |Room was beautiful with the most amazing views of the Nubble Lighthouse! Food at the outdoor Airstream cafe was wonderful and the waitstaff fun & engaging! An incredible way to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Thanks so much to everyone at The Viewpoint for a truly fabulous 3 night stay!

Google
Absolutely exceeded expectations on every level. Our 2-bedroom suite was comfortable and had the best view (seriously, it was stunning). All the staff were friendly and the front desk/concierge was very responsive via text. The food was on point; our favorites were getting breakfast every morning, and ordering cocktails to drink on our patio. We had the best time!

I stayed at the Viewpoint Hotel for one night and truly wish I could’ve stayed longer…it’s an absolute dream! The views are nothing short of iconic, with a perfect shot of the Nubble Lighthouse right outside your window. The rooms are modern, sleek, and honestly just sexy with huge windows and top-notch amenities that make the whole stay feel luxe and relaxing. The staff was incredibly friendly and polite, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. Such a gem in York, Maine and I can’t wait to come back!

This place is AMAZING! We went for our anniversary and stayed in one of the Upper Shoreside Rooms. The room is equipped with amazing features. Filtered water system, mini fridge, heated mirrors with back lights, a shower that is basically a human car wash, awesome tv, fireplace, comfortable beds and pillows and a safe. The views are amazing! Sunrise view and the Nubble Light House is right across from you. Nice little private patio. Amazing staff at the front desk. Breanna was who I talked to most and was able to answer any and all questions we had. They have a great hot tub and sauna as well! Heated pool looked great ( I didn’t not use it). Recommend to anyone for a nice getaway!

Google
This hotel has fantastic views of Nubble Light and is of course very expensive. However, the front desk closes at 8pm. If you have any issues after that time you are on your own. It may sound trivial but the remote to smart TV stopped working that night after 8:00 Texted front desk and got no response. We paid $700 a night to stay here and couldn't even watch TV? Really? What if we had a real issue? Sorry this place is overpriced and not worth the hype. I travel for business and even the Hilton provides better customer service. Who has ever heard of a hotel that does not have staff available 24x7.

Yelp
Very beautiful view of the lighthouse and near an ice cream place. The food they offer is tasty, but small for the price. We had a large group in the outside green seating area and had to pay the total, not separate checks. The rooms were clean, but the wooden side tables always made my phone fall. Unfortunately, the spa is also on the other side of the road. There were also no places to hang long clothes which is surprising for a wedding venue. The bridal suite was gorgeous as it was redone, but the shell walkway can be difficult to walk on.

Yelp
We booked a stunning room because we saw it on the intranet and were not disappointed by the real thing, it was almost better than the pictures. The view from the hotel cannot be beat and the modern features- self closing blinds, picture TV, etc made our stay even better. The location is beautiful for sightseeing and feels very private even though you are in the heart of the Nubble Lighthouse viewing zone. Amazing as well as pricey but it was pretty luxurious so you get what you pay for.

Yelp
Was excited to try the spa it was extremely disappointing. Spa is not even attached to hotel, no view at all of the ocean/lighthouse. Massage was mediocre at best. They call themselves a spa, but no robes/changing rooms and to top it off the hotel amenities do not come with spa treatment. Go to the cliff house you get more for the price and the view is much better.

Yelp
Words cannot express how wonderful this little piece of paradise right off the coast of Maine truly is. I left this place feeling completely rejuvenated from the coziest bed, to unwinding in the baths (hot tub and sauna) to sipping tea while looking in awe at the sea and lighthouse all of which in view from my room. This place was so lovely and what made it even more special is the kindness with every interaction we had from Brianna at the front desk! Truly could not have added anything to this space or trip. A must stay if you're in this part of the area. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This is our 7th year visiting the View Point and somehow it continues to improve every year. This hotel is magical, as if you're stepping into a travel magazine page in Maine! As a small business owner who works too much this place is the escape you need. I've recommend the View Point to all my clients and they all love it too. Like medicine for the soul. Huge thank you to all the staff for ALWAYS going above and beyond with a positive attitude. The owners should know that everyone we meet speaks so highly of them, saying how much they love working here. That alone speaks volumes. Positivity has a trickle down effect and you can tell the owners must be wonderful. Also huge shoutout to Brianna for incredible service and attention to detail during this visit. The views, decor, amenities, and for me (most importantly)...the cleanliness of the rooms are always on point. If you're reading this review the ONLY regret is you'll never want to go elsewhere in Maine, nothing will compare. This place is a piece of heaven.

Yelp
What can I say? The view from our room, 109, will leave you speechless! The atmosphere at the Viewpoint is so relaxing and inviting! The rooms are spacious, clean and stocked with all the amenities you need. I enjoyed using their garment steamer so much, I bought the same one to use at home. When we went for a nighttime walk, we used the lanterns that were in the closet. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, fabulous customer service! They text you to see if there is anything that you need. The organic coffee they provide is amazing, everyone enjoyed it. My daughter loved swimming in the well heated outdoor pool with a view of the ocean. Our extended family of 5 all loved this trip and did not want to leave! We cannot wait to come back to The Viewpoint again very soon!!! Thank you for your amazing hospitality!

Yelp
I had the good fortune to stay at this spectacular hotel. The Viewpoint is one of the loveliest boutique hotels I have stayed at. Upon check in you are greeted by folks that are truly happy you are there! You are offered a cold local craft beer or wine as well. This property looks out on not just the beautiful Atlantic Ocean but also the most photographed light house in America...the Nubble Light. I was escorted to my suite with an ice cold beer in hand. These suites are are beyond outstanding. You walk into a gorgeously appointed space with a kitchen, living room, fireplace and outrageous view. The room I stayed in, #102, had a king bed on the second level, a loft bedroom with a view of the Nubble lighthouse and the ocean. The decor is comfortable and smart. The fireplace adds great warmth to the fabulous view. The bed was gigantic and super comfortable. The bathrooms (2) were large and updated with new everything. I even had a washer and dryer!!! Out of a score of 1-10, I give the Viewpoint a 20. Granted it is winter in Maine, but during "season" there is a heated salt water pool, morning yoga and a shuttle service to their beach club and excellent restaurant on Long Sands beach Stones Throw. What can I say...I had a 5 star experience. This is also a Green hotel. The owners are very into saving the earth by recycling and looking after Mother Nature.

Yelp
World-class ocean view highlighted by the iconic Nubble Light. Our suite was very comfortable, uniquely furnished with perfection in every detail. The Staff was spectacular and always eager to help. I highly recommend The ViewPoint Hotel whenever you are headed to the Maine Coast. We cannot wait to return!!

Yelp
Where to start: Joe and his crew are amazing! The most wonderful and helpful hosts ever. And the hotel is named very appropriately. Wonderful ocean views all around. The beds are comfortable, the pool is awesome and the atmosphere rocking! Also: they have a shuttle which will take you to town and the beach for free. We were there for my bachelorette party in the "large family suite" and it fit 9 of us no problem! Highly suggest!

Yelp
I brought my mother here for her 80th birthday getaway weekend as I wanted her to have a memorable getaway weekend. When I checked in I was greeted with a warm welcome and I was escorted to our suite 104. When I walked in the suite it was bright, beautifully decorated and the views were as if I had just walked in a paronamic ocean view picture (this view is even more beautiful then the ones I saw in Hawaii). The website pictures of this hotel and views are beautiful but being here in person the views are even more spectacular. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. They had a full equipped kitchen and even had the same coffee maker (Keurig), I use at home. Every morning I had my cup of coffee on the balcony enjoying the breathtaking scenery. At night we sat in the living room enjoying the fireplace warmth as well as the view from the window as we can see the red light flashing from the lighthouse. This Hotel is AMAZING and I loved it so much that I will be back in a couple of weeks to bring my husband for his birthday getaway (can't wait to see the look in his face when he sees this gorgeous place). We highly recommend this Hotel!

Yelp
I stayed at the Viewpoint and it was an absolutely gorgeous place to vacation. It has resort vibes with a laid back attitude. The views from the hotel room were stunning, I guess that's why they call it "The Viewpoint!" I loved the huge lawn and the pool. The rooms were super clean, and having a full kitchen to cook in was great for my needs. The hotel is within walking distance to both beaches in York and many fun restaurants and shops. This would be a dream place to host a wedding, I hope to have mine here someday. Thank you to the Viewpoint staff for an amazing stay!

Yelp
I would leave zero stars if possible. My sister had her wedding ceremony here this past weekend and the owner was absolutely atrocious to her - there were no towels in the rooms, the outlets did not work, there was no AC, and the owner tried to charge them an additional fee because one of the bridesmaids was sleeping on a pull-out couch. The owner had an electrician come in to repair the AC WHILE THE BRIDE WAS GETTING READY IN THE ROOM. There was no attendant to greet guests when they arrived to check into their rooms, so people who had driven for hours (or flown in) had to wait for over an hour before they could enter their rooms. The worst part was the owner's attitude - when the bride tried to talk to him about these issues, he cut her off repeatedly and wouldn't let her explain anything. But if a man talked to him he would listen and be accommodating. It was really offensive. But the views were great, so keep in mind that's what you're paying for. Don't expect any civility (or service) from the owner. He treats it like a motel and doesn't seem to care that you're paying $400/night. Absolutely do not recommend, there are plenty of other places to stay (or get married at) in York that are much nicer and less expensive.

Yelp
We toured the ViewPoint in anticipation of holding our wedding there. So glad we toured as we were very disappointed. The view was a beautiful but that's where the magic ended. We were shown three suites, and all of them were filthy. Empty beer bottles and half-eaten food, sand all over the floor along with discarded shoes, beds that had been slept in (one with rose petals on the sheets), dirty bathrooms with fake eyelashes on the sinks. We were told that there was a wedding the night before, and, although checkout was at 11 AM and our appointment for a tour was at 2:30 PM, they hadn't had the rooms cleaned yet. I would have been mortified to show a prospective client rooms in that state Their event coordinator was awkward (especially for someone working in the hospitality industry). And the bathrooms our guests would be using were the bathrooms for the outdoor pool.

Yelp
I have thanked my in-laws over and over again for finding this gem for our wedding ceremony. I will likely still need to thank them a few more times. I could not imagine a more perfect setting for our semi-destination East Coast wedding. The pictures do not do this place justice but they do give you a good taste of the breathtakingly beautiful setting. The lawn and gardens are well groomed and the staff is so attentive. Planning with Trudi and Jessica was very smooth with oodles of emails and a few phone calls to fix up final details. They thought of everything and were open to new ideas. The owner, Michael, made himself available for both the rehearsal and the ceremony preparations. He was so sweet and helpful! Oh, and about the rehearsal -- torrential downpours in August! The ViewPoint team didn't hesitate to set up a plan B and everyone was still organized and ready to go for the real thing. Even with some traffic issues (make sure to tell your guests to give themselves extra travel time during the summer months!) everything went perfectly. My bridal party also stayed at Viewpoint the weekend of the wedding and my new husband and I stayed there on our wedding night so I should speak to the hotel itself, too. The rooms are spacious and cute with WONDERFUL views of the water and the Nubble Lighthouse. Waking up in the morning was like a dream! I hope my husband and I get to celebrate our anniversary here someday!

Yelp
I wish I found this prime location years ago. Absolutely the best views of The Nubble. Great location... directly across from Brown's Ice Cream. Simply perfect.

Yelp
The view is amazing. Very comfortable and well outfitted. Great sitting area right outside your door.

Yelp
The event coordinator, AJ, was not pleasant. He approached us with a negative attitude. We were looking to plan a wedding and he put bad taste in our mouths. Not a good way to promote a business.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in July, 2019 and we LOVED everything about the place. While it is more expensive than most it was well worth it, especially with the amenities included. I left extremely impressed and was bragging to whoever asked about our stay........until we received the credit card statement. While it was only a $40 charge tacked on I didn't like the fact that they took it upon themselves to add that amount to our credit card charges AFTER we check out and I signed off on our final invoice which did not, and definitely should have, showed that extra fee. When I called to inquire the pleasant female said it was an upcharge to help pay for the pool, shuttle and bikes (amenities), which are bragged about being included when deciding to book the room in the first place. She said that it is on the agreement and sure enough, after looking closer at "the fine print" (on your agreement it literally says in tiny, tiny print "the fine print") there it was. I feel that is deceiving, like they are sneaking the charges on to your card counting on you not noticing or bothering to call them on it. I requested that the owner / manager call me back to discuss and I have not heard from anyone since. It left a bad taste in my mouth. A classy and upscale place like this should not have to stoop to such deception.

Yelp
Probably the best small (boutique) hotel you can find in the area. Brand new, stylish and cozy. Best view ever. There is even a Tesla Charging station there. If you were looking for a perfect get away, look no more! Highly recommend it. 10 out of 10!

Yelp
We stayed at the Viewpoint for my birthday weekend. Words can really not describe the experience we had at the Viewpoint. We are world travelers, and this was one of our finest lodging experience, anywhere. You can simply not compare what is outside your door to the ambiance of the atlantic ocean and two lighthouses. Spectacular. You want New England? You found it. Our room was the poolside 2BR suite. The suite was fully equipped and beautifully decorated. We felt at home the minute we walked through the door. On the way to check out the view from the porch, I connected my iPad to the supplied Bose Sounddock (nice touch) and were able to put a soundtrack to the amazing experience of sipping a coffee while being in awe of the beauty...within walking distance. The suite was well suited for 4 or 4 people comfortably, but since it was only the two of us, we felt like we were staying in a home rather than a hotel suite. The kitchen was well equipped so we ended up buying our own food and cooking for ourselves whilst enjoying the environment. The grounds were impeccably manicured with plenty of places to sit and relax and enjoy the environment. I can see why this location is sought after for weddings, it's hard to imagine a better setting. The owners of the inn also run an oceanside restaurant called the Stones Throw where we celebrated my birthday. You simply can not visit York without experiencing this venue. The staff, presentation, ambiance and cuisine were simply out of this world. There is even a shuttle service between the Viewpoint and the Stones Throw that will take you for evening of Maine crafted beer and fine food, a real treat. Overall, the venues, staff and experience made for an extraordinary experience. Bravo.

Yelp
We recently stayed here for one night and absolutely loved it! With the recent renovations, the rooms are beautiful and very well done. The view from our porch was great!! We have stayed at a few different places in the area and this has been our favorite so far. We loved it so much, we already booked for a 3 night stay with our children in August. The staff is super friendly and helpful. You won't regret staying here!!!

Yelp
The Viewpoint Hotel offered a spectacular view of Nubble Lighthouse. The suite was immaculately clean and the decor was beautiful.

Yelp
Have eaten at Warrens in Kittery, Maine on many occasions. We have never had a bad meal there. Salad bar is great, pumpkin bread is delicious and baked haddock is superb as are all the meals we've had there. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I just got married at the ViewPoint on October 13th. What an amazing place for a wedding. All I received afterwards was compliment after compliment. You CANNOT beat the view. The staff could not have been more accommodating. My husband and I worked with Val and became friends with her throughout the process. She was our coordinator on day of and she was worth every penny. I did not have to worry about 1 thing on the big day besides getting ready and getting outside. Val set up all of my decorations exactly how I wanted them. The decor she set up without instruction was set up better than I could have asked. She decorated our archway on her own will and it was my favorite part of the decor. The owner, Joe, was so welcoming and was onsite to make sure everything was all set. He even checked the temperature of the heated pool to ensure if we did want to use it that it was hot enough to do so. Parking was well handled and none of my guests had any confusion on their way in to the venue. Their preferred vendors are amazing - the Tent company was so accommodating and flexible with our budget. Foster's Clambake did an incredible job with working with our budget and the food was not only delicious but the customer service was above and beyond. We loved them so much that we had our rehearsal dinner AT Foster's the night before. The weekend was a dream and I could go on and on about this place but if you get married here - you will not regret it. The hotel rooms are gorgeous and I will be staying here annually to relive my favorite day.

Tetesa H.

Yelp
I haven't stayed here - and never would. I had reached out to the hotel several weeks ago to see about hosting a small intimate wedding. They did not respond, so I followed up. This time they did respond with a lovely email telling me how they "love" the smaller weddings and that they were the perfect destination. What they had omitted to do, was to remove an internal email exchange that was written extremely derogatorily regarding not only my wedding ideas, the size of my wedding, and even insinuated that I was desperate. If this is how they view potential guests, i.e. those people that fund their business, I would not wish to spend a minute there.

Mike O.

Yelp
Very clean. Great Wi-Fi. Fantastic view. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Yelp
Had an exceptional experience at the Viewpoint. Four adults in suite 104 with a spectacular view of Nubble light and the majestic Atlantic just off our balcony. The accommodations were spotless and thoughtfully appointed. Seems that no expense was spared in furnishing suite, but with a tasteful uncluttered result. Had a minor issue with the ac unit in one of the two king size bedrooms (great mattresses)and within an hour a service person had arrived and resolved the problem. Kudos to Joe and the staff for making a special occasion very memorable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious destination with a million dollar view. Another note regarding Joe; even though it was relatively early in the season (I'm sure he had a list of chores a mile long) He took time to introduce himself and chat at length about the property, it's history, and his vision of the future for the resort. A true gentleman with a long local history.
