I tip way too good to receive a “large house side salad” to be the size of an infant grab of lettuce and throwing some stuff on there calling it good. I also added chicken to this, thank God so I’m able to get a full meal. I checked it before I left but guess didn’t see 3/4 of the salad missing until I opened it under good lighting. For the price and amount, I wouldn’t be back for the food.

I have eaten here many many many times. All the food is delicious. Beers cold on tap. Service friendly. Cute little casino. Love love love this place!

Varied menu with lots of Mac/cheese choices, sandwich choices, Burger choices. One page large print double sided menu. (Plus separate drink menu.) Full drinks menu, with local beers. Owner seems to have provoked some locals, ask around for details. I'm not a local. Fun place, really friendly staff, good food and strong beer.

On my trip across America, I’ve eaten hamburgers everywhere you can think of mom and pops corporate fast food. I gotta tell you this is probably the best burger I’ve ever had believe it’s called the smack down Burger mac & cheese hamburger bun.

I've had one of the best burgers here. 4 stars because it was missing the sauce it was supposed to come with, +1 star because the chicken noodle soup was absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend this place to everyone.

I had the southwest wrap and my husband had the fish and chips. Good portion size. The wrap was fresh and refreshing. My husband loved the garlic fries but thought the fish could have less batter.

Delicious and quick food for a fair price served with great service in a comfortable, albeit loud, alehouse. I'd recommend the seasoned fries, the nachos, and the Macho Man Randy Sandwich. There's also a casino, and the service is good there, too, but it's nothing to rave about.

They changed the menu and took off the things that used to be good heard several other tables ask what happened to different menu items that they took off the new menu. Also portions sizes went down considerably all in all not impressed anymore used to be a staple but I will have to find a new place.

We were in town to see family and they took us here. There are two entrances and we just seated ourselves which I found confusing as there wasn't a host to drive any order in placement. It's had several large screen TVs soo certainly a place to watch sports. My husband ordered the chicken strip basket. Chicken strips were small but enough for him. They fries he got were salt and vinegar-he said they were decent. I got the Monte Cristo. The sandwich was good except the raspberry jam was very hard and did not seem like jam but more jelly. I asked for the garlic parm fries. The fries were decent but outside of a few seasoning shakes at the bottom of my plate, I would not have been able to tell they were garlic parm. This location does have its own private parking lot and they do offer outdoor seating.

Great food, usually get a burger and fries. They give you a LOT of fries! So good! Music is a tiny bit loud but they have great taste so it's ok! The servers are always nice and make sure you have everything you need and check up on you. Would recommend.

The worst lunch experience I have ever had. The bartender didn't know how to make drink every single waiter was just sitting down and talking and the worst part of it all was that a BUST BOY NAMED Alexis gave me an attitude. This place went very very down hill.

TOUR DE FLATS GROUP SCORE: 8.1/10 The most consistent great wings in town. Cooked perfectly every time and the sauces are truly unique tasting. The buffalo is not just simple Frank's red hot and has its own special zing. The sweet chili flavor should always be considered when ordering.

The best nachos since we moved from Texas. Huge portion. My son has the burger and fries. He was impressed. My husband had the monte Cristo. He enjoyed it. This is sports bar. Football on all TV's. The service was fairly good. No real complaints.

We visit Billings about once a year to see family, and our first dinner out is always at The Vig. We love their outdoor seating, their drinks are affordable and delicious, and the food, no matter what we get is wonderful. The wait staff are pleasant and quick but don't hover or bother, which always makes us come back. Do yourself a favor- get the vickle fries! So worth burning your mouth over!

Not alot of places to order food in the heights that is not fast food and what a disappointment when we got our order delivered. This will be the second time I have ordered a wrap without onion and both times it had about a 1/2 of a red onion on it - thank goodness I'm not allergic! Asked for grilled mushrooms and they sent a cup or raw mushrooms

Great service, average price, good food, free popcorn, nice atmosphere with plenty of TVs for the sports enthusiast. Only regret is the portion size vs. cost. Still a great place with many food and drink options. Thumbs up!

I love coming here for the southwest salad! I'm sure that they have some other great food options, but that salad is mighty fine. The atmosphere is always on point as well.

It was ok, a little noisy but we expected that, food was pretty good, manager was kinda rude not very friendly, server was great after manager was gone, he seemed to make everyone nervous when he was in the room

I was Really hopefully for this place as it's right in my neighborhood when we bought our new house. First trip was a terrible disappointment. I ordered a chicken sandwich at lunch. I received a tiny little piece of chicken on a huge bun. Lol. No really. Smaller than a chicken nugget. I tried to complain... but it was empty and the girls on the waitstaff were on their phones behind the bar. My girlfriend ate her quite nice salad and I got ready to leave. The manager made an appearance and asked how our meal was. I showed him my nugget on a full bun ... he asked if I'd eaten the rest. I explained that it was all I had received. He was obviously dubious and didn't believe me. He asked why I hadn't alerted my waitress... I said they never made themselves available throughout the meal. He apologized profusely and gave me a free beer coupon. Yeah. Don't do this. Applebees is a better deal. At least the staff listens to you there.

Love the monte Cristo. The soups are always great as well .the nachos with extra cheese sauce can't be beat . And the service is always friendly and quick. The parking lot always looks like you can't get in, but it's a big restaurant and it has outside seating, so don't panic.

Pretty nice place but expect kitchen closes early. The service is great and great place to chill so you can get as many drinks as you want. We went here to drink on Thursday night. There's still people hanging out during weekdays.

Been coming here for years and came to watch a game. Definitely not a sports bar. Bad attitude from management. Fans missed the sound from either game. GRIZ or bobcat game for the whole 1st quarter then no or little sound in the second. We were the 4th table of fans to leave and management didn't care. If you want loud music instead of game commentary the vig is the place. Went to a real sports bar. Second visit in a row with poor management attitude. Wont happen again. Love the employees, and the food but won't watch sports there again!

Went here with my family and the atmosphere was great, we ate outside and served by two women who were adequate in their service but just. No more, no less. I was underwhelmed. The food was standard. Bitter lettuce, cold chunks of grilled chicken, burnt bacon bits, unripe tomatoes, too much blue cheese and for the love of disgust, frozen avocado. Totally wrong. No bread for the salad and I asked for crackers and they didn't bother bringing any. Everyone else seemed satisfied but no one finished their plate, but picked out the best and made due. With so many places to try in Billings, I won't be back, I wish them well.

I went to the Vig on their Tuesday trivia night. The place was packed and getting there 5 minutes to trivia start time led to my friend and I sitting at the last two open bar seats. We each had draft beers and shared a plate of nachos. The beer selection was great, similar to most restaurants in the area. The nachos were pretty tasty. Probably a standard nacho, the queso was better than most but it lacked beans and acabado which really enhance the nacho experience. The trivia was lots of fun. They use a company who prints the game boards and answer packets which make it really easy to follow. The bartender changed one of the TVs for me which was awesome. He wasn't a jerk about it either and I actually didn't even ask. I was craning my neck to see the sounders game and he went ahead and changed the closest tv to that game. Big fan of that customer service action! Overall a good experience. Will have to return to try some other food items.

No one likes raw bacon!!! If you can't cook bacon crisp I will never return again... " western burger " with raw bacon

While in town visiting the family, stopped in for some drinks to meet up with some acquaintance's and catch up. Right now they only serve beer and wine, but I believe they are working on the liquor license. Good service and a decent selection of micro-brews from Red Lodge and Missoula. In addition, tried some wings. They are not saucy, but crispy and juicy. They have a good amount of seating, a bar, and a large patio. So far I dig it. It is a good location close to the parents house. I am in.

Absolutely delicious!! Great meal to have for my first Billings visit. I got the wings with the drunken chicken sauce as well as a side of garlic fries. We also got the cheese curds. Definitely recommend!!!

Love the vibe, Beer, and service. The food is always consistent and very delicious! 1 of my Favorite spots.

Back-and-forth with these guys I swear LOL. I had listed a bad review a few months back and after management had corrected the issue a couple of months later, I changed the review to five stars and squashed the issues. After tonight, I am done with these guys. I could care less what the management team does. I will never step foot inside of this place again. Every time I go in there and I mean every time, I'm dropping $100 and I always tip The staff 30% at a minimum. Go in there tonight and they are so busy that they're not allowing anyone to place an order for the next two hours. Keep in mind all of my orders are placed to go so it doesn't matter if I need to come back in an hour and pick it up that's fine. I came into the restaurant to place the order personally because I called last week and placed an order and their asinine story at that time was that they were too busy to take orders over the phone so I had to go in there and personally place the order or they wouldn't take it.That's how they run their business and that's OK. Might work for a lot of people but it does not work for me. I will not be going in there again.

Best Mac and cheese in town!! I love to order it To go for my daughter and I. Had the mushroom burger today and that was pretty good too. Bingo on Wednesday nights is fun too!

Great local spot!!! We love Trivia Tuesdays and Bingo Wednesdays! Their beer selection is always nice and their food is good. Soups are usually pretty excellent as well.

This evening I went to the Vig with a group of friends, hoping to get a drink. The waitress came and started taking our orders. I have an out of state license and am here for uni so I haven't needed changed it to a Montana license yet. My out of state license has never been an issue. Ever. The only response I ever get from it is, wow you're a ways from home or something about the weather. Anyway, I ordered a drink but I would've refrained had I known I was about to be quizzed and nearly lose my license. So, she carded me, rather carelessly bending my ID, then asked the capitol of the state where my license is from, but I lived there for a short time and also that was two years ago. I panicked and drew a blank. She said fine, what's your address? Again, I haven't lived there for two years and I moved three times while living there, I couldn't remember which address was on it. I said I'm not sure, sorry. Next she asked my birthday, obviously I can remember that so I said it, to which she replied, "yeah that's cap. I'm gonna let you keep it this time but I won't serve you." I'm 25. Clearly not underage. At a table with all adults, very obviously all several years over 21. Who cares about the drink anymore, I'm frustrated with being called a liar and almost having my actual drivers license taken away. Also, I didn't grow up in the US so I have minimal knowledge of the state's capitols, I really haven't cared to learn them. Had I been using a fake ID I would get drinks at a place better than the Vig.

I was looking for someething new to try for lunch, and having heard about The Vig and their food & service, it enticed me to give them a try. Boy howdy am I glad I did! Love the atmosphere and the service from the staff - never overbearing and always pleasant. The food is spot-on! I tried The Colonel, as I was looking for something new to eat. This plate will fill you up! You get mac-n-cheese, sausage, and brisket on a roll, along with fries for $13.50 - well worth the price! Even though I don't live in the Heights, this is well worth the drive for me. We will be back to The Vig many more times in the future.

Really!? In Billings!? Let's just say my expectations were really low and they were blown out of the water. The sweet potato tater tots were amazing as were the onion rings. Excellent selection of micro brews and an elevated pub menu. This would be my go to spot if I was a local.

One of the most consistently good places to eat in the city of Billings and always friendly service. Love to come here to watch the Griz games or just bring a friend for a drink (delicious Moscow Mules!).

We have lived in Billings for 4 years but only recently discovered The Vig and we really like it! We have eaten here a couple of times since and even though they get really busy the place is huge so there are plenty of tables. Service is pretty good and the food is great! I like it because it is loud and so we can bring our toddler with no issues. Can't wait for football season I think we will come here to watch some games!

This is coming from a customer who has been there so many times. Tonight I simply was told I could not place a order to go because it was busy. I have never heard of this and thought it was a complete home and a lack of customer service. I will not be back and tired of poor service

Stopped in on a Sunday evening. I was surprised to see the parking lot was packed. We had cheese curds, sweet tots and wings. All three were excellent. I never got a refill on my water and a had a hard time getting the busy servers attention to get the box and check when we were finished. Overall the excellent food will have me going back anyway.

Arrived at 6:55 and by 8:25 still had not been seated. Bingo night. Really unimpressed by this. Ended up walking out. Had 2 beers while waiting and that bill was $8.75, pretty over priced for draft domestic pints in Billings Heights-upscale?Never got to try the food. How can I give anymore than a single star if I couldn't be seated or try the menu?

Came in for lunch and it took forever to order, never have a server who's boyfriend is at the bar. Food was good, service not so good.

I am not an elegant writer but I do know what I love to eat. The Vig is such a great place to take in a yummy meal. We took our out of town guests and we all had burgers because as it is we judge who has the best in town. The Vig is not the best But it is awesome. The sides are good and they make great drinks. The music is a bit loud so it's hard to talk without yelling, but all in all we enjoyed our experience. What a friendly place. I would recommend to everyone as a great place to visit.

This is one of our go to spots. The food and the draft beer selection are my favorite parts. Service is good, the atmosphere is friendly and the spicy ketchup with the sweet potato tots is the best thing ever.

Love them nachos. The best in town. Really love the house made cheese sauce. It is a little spicy but that is why I like it so much. Always busy Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Bingo is always a great excuse to get out of the house Wednesday night.

Good food but pricey. Very popular place and packed whenever we've gone there. Good place to meet up.

This is a great addition to the Heights. The food is usually really good. However, we went last night and the brisket was a little dry. This however is not the norm and usually we cannot complain. The stuffed mushrooms are awesome and they have a good mac and cheese. Service is usually fast and friendly. This is not a place to go if you want to have an intimate dinner or if you want to visit with a group of people. It is more of a sports bar and thus is pretty loud and hard to hear each other across the table. They have a great patio and a casino as well. They now have a full bar. This is definitely one of our go-to places whether it is dine-in or take-out.

Great atmosphere, freindly and attentive service. This is a great place to have dinner or just hang out and have drinks. The menu is not your typical "bar menu". The food is good and reasonably priced. They have a large selection of beers on tap and bottled. The staff is friendly and I always get good service when I am there. Good place to watch the game and they also have one of the best patios in Billings.

Sat on the deck. After waiting for 10 minutes to be waited on went in and order beer and food. Waitress said she didn't see us. Ok, no biggy. But then had to go inside to pick up food. Spent two hours without ever being ask if we wanted anything.

Probably our favorite lunch spot in Billings..... I ALWAYS have the Monte Cristo sandwich, which is the best I've ever had. Of course I have to have my side be the mac and cheese, which is so creamy and rich and has an undercurrent of BACON. Really top notch. My husband mixes up his choices and everything is always great. Have never had a bad server or anything negative there.

Amazing food! The deep fried cream corn is the best. The drunken chicken is yummy and the Mac is great for the kids.

Once again we find ourselves in the Vig on Saturday. Easily the best destination in the Heights if not all of Billings. Love this place.

We ate here last night on the recommendation from a local resident. Really good dinner! I ordered the Trendy Turkey Sandwich which has Brie, fig butter, Granny Smith apple slices on toasted sourdough bread - AWESOME!! My husband enjoyed his BBQ Brisket Salad. We do not drink alcohol, but Thursday special was $3.50 all day on Montana made beer. I will definitely eat here again when I drive through Billings, MT.

When it first opened, the food was no good but the drinks were on point. Now that it's had some time to find its groove, the food is amazing and the drinks they have are great! Love trivia night and beer bingo. Wish I lived in the heights I would be here more often! Great job

My Fiance works right beside the Vig at web design company and we never went until a few months ago. What an amazing little gem. The wait staff is very attentive whether its for something minor, or when you need a refill on one of their many, MANY great cold beer. The food is really really good, and also reasonable on price. They have multiple games going for the sports enthusiasts so you won't miss the big games. One of the best places to relax or go eat in Billings, Montana by far. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed the experience here. Good place to watch football. I had wings. Tried a lot if sauces and the wings are great. Good flavor, quantity and if you order extra crispy perfectly cooked.

While the food is above average for a bar. Seems that the owners have a constant turn over.
