I’ve stayed at Vijitt many times over the years and always appreciated its peaceful atmosphere, kind staff, and quiet charm. It was one of my favourite places in Phuket. Unfortunately, during my most recent stay in 2024, the experience was noticeably different. The personal warmth and attention to detail that used to set the resort apart seemed to be missing. It was disappointing, especially considering the special place this resort once held for me. After reading other recent reviews, I can see that I’m not the only one who’s felt this change. For the first time, I’ve decided not to return. That said, I have great respect for the Thai people and the team working at Vijitt. My hope is that management can bring back the heart and quality this resort was once known for — not only for the guests, but for the benefit of the staff as well.

Thailand has changed since the last time we were here. In this hotel, the authentic atmosphere is preserved — the peace, the service, everything is top-notch. It is very quiet though; you need to take a taxi to go out. You can definitely relax at the hotel. But there are also more places and beaches nearby that are definitely worth visiting.

We stayed here as a couple in april 2025. The check in was very laid back, informal and we got a complimentary lemongrass drink while waiting for our room key.||After check in, we were moved to a buggy car, driving us and our luggage to our villa.||Beautiful villa, with an amazing outdoor shower. ||There are some steep hills around the big resort, but we are in our 30s, so we didnt have any problems getting around. Might be though for some elderly people, but the buggy cars with their friendly drivers are always available and can drive you around the resort any time.||The pool and restaurant area was beautiful. The pool was much bigger than expected, and seemed clean. Some sand on the ground, but the temperature in the pool was great. There is also an hammock next to the beach, with a beautiful scenery around. Spend some hours reading my book there.||The beach is small, during the spring in the changing tidewaters, the beach will become bigger. But the ocean around is always pretty shallow, so its not ideal for swimming.||I like the pool better, so i was happy anyway.||The restaurants in the resort are very good. Please check out the authentic thai restaurant in the resort, its a bit hidden in the resort, but the food there was amazing. In the main restaurant, there was a great selection for breakfast.||The area outside the resort is a bit dead, but with a Grab only 5 minutes away to Rawai Beach, you will find plenty of restaurants and bars.||Very happy with the stay, and we are planning to come back next year with two extra persons.||The only thing i would remark after this stay, is that there was a bit low pressure in the outdoor shower in the villa. Also just a tip to the pool bar/restaurant: Please expand your song playlists. It seems like they play the same lists with pretty few songs over and over again. One of the days next to the pool, i heard the same song at least 8 times on the speaker😉||See you next year!

I thought I put up a review of this place, but I guess I didn't, so here goes. We stayed here in October of 2024 and absolutely LOVED it!!! The rooms were immaculate, great AC, the food from room service was fabulous, and the staff was amazing. We stayed in a villa with a private pool, which we loved. You can walk the grounds or simply call for a golf cart to take you around the resort; some of the areas are pretty steep. Tommy helped us book excursions and gave us ideas of what to do and where to eat while in Thailand. The breakfast buffet was really good, the bar drinks were good as well. The location was great. We booked several excursions, and we were always the first ones picked up for the tours because our location was more central, I think. The villa had 2 sides. One side with the living room, bathroom, and patio area. The other side is with the bedroom and bathroom and the shower (inside and oustide). Both sides have AC and tvs and access to the pool. Zero complaints, highly recommend. *the food in the pictures are all from room service (different days). I didn't post pictures of local food spots because this is a review for the resort.

I had a wonderful stay at this beachfront hotel. The location was absolutely perfect, just steps away from the sea with stunning views. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-prepared. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with excellent service.

This a long review - for good reason. If you’re considering it’s worth persevering to the end.||You go on holiday to relax and forget about day-to-day pressures. You book a 5* resort to be pampered like a celebrity. Which means you shouldn’t book Vijitt. It may have been a 5.* resort once (2008) but not now - 3* or 3.5* at best.||Where to start? The shower might be a good example of what’s wrong.|The shower room is external. Yes, outside. |The shower room isn’t a room because it’s not enclosed, it has walls that stop before the ceiling/roof and a an overhang leaning-to acting as a ‘covering roof’. |So yes it’s open to the elements. |Should be idyllic until you step outside onto the decking floor, which is not decking as we know it, but planks laid very close together, i.e. gaps between the planks for things like toes to get caught on or stubbed where planks aren’t butted up/flat. |Leaves and debris fall & blow in easily and the shower floor is not cleaned daily so it just accumulates more debris. |The shower soap attracts all the insect life so reaching in to the recess to take out the bottle risks getting bitten at worst or releases a cloud of insects at best. |The shower room is an idea that the architect thought sounded idyllic but has been delivered as a poor substitute, left and forgotten by the cleaning and maintenance crews. |And finally, would you want to take a warm shower outside in the evening when you need to turn on the light which of course attracts the mosquitos that love light, warmth and dampness?||I don’t need to go on (any more) you get the picture. A long overview of what is seemingly a small part of the hotel and room, but illustrates the whole resort - a good idea failing to deliver.||Basically it’s worn and grubby, with rooms featuring cracked floor tiles, dirty & stained cushions, dirty furniture, shoddy repairs, lights askew, blown bulbs that need replacing, patios that are never swept, dead insects on mosquito curtains/nets around the bed, rooms that are given cursory cleans….. It’s not dirty or unhealthy just run down and in need of several years maintenance, repairs and cleaning. A massive dollop of TLC.||Staff are really nice and when you ask them to do something that should have been done e.g. clean the room, they are beside themselves to get it sorted. Problem is you shouldn’t need to ask every day for something. Room clean, new towels, pool patio sweeping etc. Tea and coffee in a 2 person room - 2 x teabags one English breakfast and one earl grey - you end up trekking to the restaurant to get more. I can do this but not when I’m expecting (and paying for) a 5* experience. ||Staff speak passable English phrases but but don’t understand English. E.g. the difference between white wine & red, on more than 1 occasion. And examples like “We’ll have the miniature dessert sampler mixture for 2” had the response “do you both want this?”. The answer is in the name of the dessert. Food is average at best, resort is jaded & worn & staff while friendly don’t appear to have been trained. Asking to see the dessert menu a) shouldn’t have to be a requirement and b) implies you want to order, not just look at it and then have to grab their attention again to order.||To top it all the resort requires golf buggies to get around ands on the first (and sub sequent) day/s we asked for a biggie to get to dinner only to be told it will be a long wait because they only had one driver. Once is an annoyance every time is unacceptable. Yes you can walk but in 35+C and humidity off the scale nobody wants to walk up and down resort hills just to get to dinner ending up looking like a damp rag. || Things that annoyed:|- sliding doors that didn’t’t seal and let Mozies in|- bathroom window that didn’t close and let mozies…|- Shower door that didn’t close…|- External shower|- 5* rating when it’s not|- Buggies|- English||It’s a real shame because a)I don’t like leaving negative reviews and b) I’m sure it could be great it’s just too old, too tired, in need of major investment/maintenance and sets 5* expectations that are just not met.

We stayed here for 17 nights and fell in love with the place . We had a garden bungalow (13) just back from the sea which was perfect . The resort is v relaxed and staff helpful and friendly , we felt so at home here , We asked for a mosquito net which arrived and was erected within 5 minutes of our request . The breakfast offers a huge range of options and the dining room has beautiful sea views. The Thai restaurant serves fabulous traditional food. The main restaurant offers a perhaps too extensive menu which would be a challenge for any kitchen. The shuttle bus free trip service was wonderful when we felt the need to explore a little . The pool was exceptional with beautiful views … the worst thing was leaving …

I am in complete shock of how this "resort" can advertise themselves as five stars. I wouldn't even give three. From arrival, the front desk barely greets you. We had to wait a few minutes for anyone to even be at the front desk. It's not advertised but the resort is extremely hilly, meaning you need a golf cart to get you around unless you want to hike. They have golf cart service, but never once did it arrive within 10 minutes of us calling them (might not have come at all), so we just ended up walking. The breakfast is buffet style, which would be fine if they actually rotated the options each morning and they looked fresh. On our third night, we woke up in the middle of the night to our ceiling leaking water. We called the front desk in the morning to ask them to clean it up and to inquire what happened. We have a video so don't even try to deny it. Either they couldn't understand us or they just didn't care. Based on everything else, I believe it was the later. My book and my husbands sneakers were soiled. One day we came back to the bathroom door being left open during cleaning, to which many mosquitoes entered our room. The showers are outside so you will be swarmed with bugs when taking a shower. Also, all the facilities close at 7pm, which is absolutely ridiculous for a secluded "resort" with no other amenities or entertainment. The only redeeming quality of this resort is the pool, but the view is bad unless you're there at high tide as others have mentioned. There were no special touches for our honeymoon appropriate for us, nothing in the mini fridge. They gave us a bottle of wine even though during our booking we told them no alcohol. They offered no alternative when we returned it. The workers will never say hi to you, and barely only respond if you say hi first. All the review about the rooms being extremely dated are true, don't ignore them. Avoid this "resort" like the plague. They must be offering some type of deal to leave good reviews!!
