We booked 2 nights at The Villa to start and ended up staying our entire 12 days in Siem Reap here. We had a wonderful stay. The location is fantastic. Walking distance from the night markets and Pub Street, but not so close that it’s noisy. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. The Palm Cafe a couple doors down was especially good. A big supermarket right down the street. And the hotel has a pool that gets sun for most of the day.
We paid $18usd a night for a big, spacious room on the second floor. It was cleaned and stocked with complimentary water every day. It came with a desk, safe, mini fridge, TV (with lots of English channels), big bed side table, and a comfortable bed. There were plugins all around the room and the AC worked great. The bathroom had a wall separating the shower keeping everything dry. Soap and toiletries were included.
The hotel manager, Pauly, was an absolute gem. Very friendly and helpful. He organized a Tuk Tuk for us to visit Angkor for a good price. He got us a ride to the airport for cheap too. They have in house laundry service and will help you book any number of activities without ripping you off.
Overall, the hotel was great. The fact that it was as cheap as it was and had a pool made it a steal of a deal. I can safely say it’s the best value we’ve got for our money in all of SE Asia. We felt at home for the 12 nights we spent at The Villa and wouldn’t hesitate to return again. If you’re considering staying here, I can’t recommend it enough
