Amazing experience overall. Place is huge and well maintained. Staff are friendly and wearing traditional clothing dated back to 1800-1900 timeline. They have events to add cultural value and we were lucky enough to experience Spanish dance and Drumming performance. There is paved and unpaved parking however it has a fixed fee (approx 9$) We will surely visit this wonderful historical village again when whether settles a bit. Keep minimum two hours to enjoy every attraction. Presto card holders get a small discount.

The Village at Black Creek is a wonderful step back in time! The historic buildings, costumed interpreters, and hands-on activities make it feel like you’re truly experiencing 19th-century village life. Every corner has something interesting — from the working blacksmith shop and print shop to the schoolhouse and general store. We enjoyed strolling through the peaceful grounds, chatting with the interpreters who shared fascinating stories, and seeing the heritage gardens in bloom. The attention to detail in both the buildings and the demonstrations is outstanding. It’s educational, fun, and beautifully maintained — a perfect outing for families, history lovers, or anyone looking for a unique day trip.

Awesome place for having a fun day with family. A old but live village from 200 years ago right in the heart of Toronto. I was there twice and both times I enjoyed and learned a lot. People who worked there (I don’t know if they are stuff or volunteers) are nice, kind and knowledgeable. Give it a try and make lots of great memories.

I recently had the opportunity to visit The Village at Black Creek, and it was a truly memorable experience that blends history, charm, and community spirit. The staff were knowledgeable and incredibly friendly—always eager to answer questions and share stories that brought the village to life. One of the unexpected highlights? The freshly baked cookies and white bread—absolutely 10/10! Delicious and authentic, they added a warm, homey touch to the visit. It’s a great spot for families, history lovers, or anyone looking to experience a bit of the past in an engaging and welcoming setting.

This place is amazing great place to take the kids. There are many opportunities for learning about historical times. I really enjoyed this visit. I used a map to guide me on my visit, but you can also get guided visits. My group enjoyed the petting of the goats 😆 and watching the chickens. They also enjoyed the school house activities writing on slates. Memories.....back in the days 😆 I encourage you to take a visit. Oh, show your ticket at the reception and you get a discount.

:::MUST VISIT::: Today was our first visit. I got excited to book the tickets after seeing the high ratings. This place is amazing. The village is so beautiful with wonderful staffs to explain everything in detail. It has farm animals like hens, sheep’s etc. This village is an educational tour not only for kids but for the adults as well. It has enough public restrooms, pavilion cafe and a gift shop with a great stuff. The parking lot is huge and requires additional parking ticket. It’s not included in the admission ticket. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place in this summer.

Interesting place if you are interested in knowing the history. Join the free explanation tour where they will show some key highlights before letting you go around on your own. There are also staff in each venue explaining the history of that house. But as it is largely a open village where walking is needed and no shelter when you walk on the road. Come equip for the weather
