Great historical open air museum within the city. It showcases different houses and buildings during the early and mid 19th century in Ontario. The staff at the highlighted exhibits were very friendly and received souvenirs to take home. The friendly staff demonstrated the candle holder cage was very interesting. There was a 45 minutes guided tour, it was worth joining. The tour guide was very accommodating and pleasant. Go and immerse yourself back to 1815-1860.

A really good experience. I went on a fairly quiet day which was nice so it felt a bit more special than I imagine it would do on a crowded day. The people were welcoming and friendly and very informative. Getting to walk around the town and listen to the stories in each building was a fantastic way to learn about the history, it was so much better than trouncing around a museum. The only downside is that when I went some areas were closed off for filming so it might be worth checking in advance if that's possible. Aside from that I would recommend this as a truly wholesome experience.

Excellent place for family outing and fun for kids. Many activities for kids and the staffs were amazing. We went during the Christmas break and we had an amazing time.

Oh my god!! The best Haunted Walk I’ve ever had😱😈 The night was super spooky and the horror stories were scary in the entire walk. I got the chance to experience the actual active sites on the tour and yet to investigate the ghostly experiences.🥶 It was worth the drive, mine and time!🔥 Thompson is an amazing guide, which made the storytelling super eerie and chilling.🥶

We went for the Harvest Fair and every one we met was so nice! The docent are fun and clearly passionate and engaging about keeping the past alive so folks can learn and enjoy! This place is a gem of history but the staff is the real treasure!

this experience was amazing. upon entrance, you are able to get right into the town and the first thing you will see is an old barn. as you go along you can see many hotels, houses, huts, and much more. it is absolutely astonishing to see all of this. everything in this town was built and used in the 1860’s. every single hotel and house has their own person who greets people apon entering and explains to them about the house and its history. i totally recommend coming. if you come i hope you enjoy the experience as much as i did :)

the ghosts of the village tour was an enjoyable and unique experience. it was my bf and i's first time going to a haunted walk, and we had a good time listening to our tour guide's stories and taking some creepy looking pictures. i do wish it was a little scarier though, but i think the scare level makes it a good family halloween activity. regardless, i think it's definitely worth going to if you've never been

My husband + I found Black Creek Village so very interesting today (March Break) with our 15 year old granddaughter. The weather was beautiful, sunny + warm. The historical buildings are kept in exquisite condition. What a surprise to find singers, actors, historians and others sharing stories from the past. It's like being immersed right into that time period. The Gift Shop is definitely worth a visit - beautiful items + great customer service - THANK YOU!
