Not accommodating for those with access needs. Even entering the building is difficult. There are steps to enter the street-facing door and a side door that opens to a ramp. You need to time your entry right for the staff to be at the desk but not busy or you will not get in. When we buzzed for entry at the access door, the receptionist was speaking to another guest so didn’t let us in. A random guest saw that we needed that door and let us in after some time. If you were traveling with a wheelchair, you could not rely on this and the door is so heavy that you would not likely be able to open the door even if you were buzzed in. We stayed in the family room, which was just okay. The room was clean, but the twin beds were springy and uncomfortable. Only the large bed had a decent mattress. Unfortunately, the bathroom door took some force to close, the door to the room had a broken lock, and the heating (controlled by the front desk staff) was too high. To adjust the temperature in the room, we would need to take the lift down and wait in a queue of people. When we tried to check out, it took 6 tries before a lift came that had enough room for one of us to join. The lift is too small for that amount of rooms. I am relieved that we only had to stay one night here. Would not recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of days and booked a private room with its own bathroom. The price was way too high for the quality of the room and the service provided. On our floor there were shared showers, which caused constant noise. The amenities listed included air conditioning, but in reality it was controlled only by the reception. Most of the time there was nobody at the desk to ask, and when we finally managed to get it turned on, it ran non-stop for three days without any option to switch it off. Safety was a big concern: the main entrance door was always unlocked and open to anyone from the street. There was a card system installed, but we were never given a card, nor were we even asked if we needed one. If someone had closed the door, we would have been locked out since there was never anyone at reception. The politeness of the staff was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, nobody greeted us or acknowledged us during online check-in. At checkout, it was exactly the same — no “goodbye” or “have a safe trip.” Towels were another unpleasant surprise: they are not included, and cost $8 each. However, you cannot take them with you, which makes no sense — why pay the full price if it’s basically just a rental? Overall: the hotel is unsafe, the service is poor, and the quality does not match the price. Definitely not worth the money.

Let me start by expressing my gratitude to the Little Drifter Canberra. A very Big Thank You to the Receptionist :) The gentleman at the receptionist was really helpful and friendly. He makes us feel like home. The staffs are ready and willing to do what needs to be done to make their client happy and satisfied. Nice bedroom and very clean bathroom. Overall great place to stay in Canberra. Amazing :)

The location is perfect. The room had a very good level of comfort given the booking price. The general available services were all good and the hotel was in general clean. A little problem was only with the hot water for taking shower which I think is, perhaps, resolved by now.

This place is so lovely! I had friendly roommates and the public area is just so clean. The staffs here are very considerate and helpful (shout out to Thomas!) If I need to make any improvement suggestion, it would be that the “study area” on the third floor doesn’t have any light. It was fine during the day, but at night it was a bit dark (see the photo). If that can be changed, this is a perfect place👍!

I stayed here as a long stay for 2.5 months, the whole team made me feel at home whilst in a hostel, which is really hard to do. Major thanks to Andie, Aiden, Tom and Lily for being so kind and friendly to me. Rooms are great and bathrooms too, always restocked. Lots of events in the evenings too to help make new friends. 10/10 experience
