Had a truly great stay here! Great facilities, nice relaxed vibe, amazing location! Special thanks to the lovely Ryan on the desk who was extremely helpful! Very limited parking available on-site, $15 daily parking at nearby Canberra centre was easy.

Do not recommend for young people, especially women. The only positive I can think of is its good location. The average age is around 40 to 50, with many looking suspect/homeless. This is something they have mentioned addressing in other review, but I have seen no progress. There are two toilets per floor (roughly 2 toilets per 90 people), and they were filthy. Bedrooms offer no privacy with flimsy bunks squeezed together. Access to your room and building is via your phone however there are minimal charging ports in rooms (though plenty in the kitchen).

The only good thing is the location, closer to the Canberra Centre. No reasonable parking options, I had to stay for 2 nights and it was hard for me to find the parking. Cutlery provided in the kitchen was oily, not properly washed/cleaned. There were no wardrobes in the family room and no hooks in the bathroom so you can't hang anything while you're taking shower. No option to control the heating/cooling as it's all controlled by the reception. The room was very cold when we checked in. I would not recommend this property for family with children.

Actually quite a good hostel. Carpet, paint and decor is a bit old but otherwise very solid hostel option in the middle of Canberra with reasonable parking options nearby.

I absolutely loved my stay here at the Village. Staff were friendly and hospitable, especially Hannah who helped with resolving inquiries regarding the Balcony room. 10 out of 10

This place is absolutely disgusting! I urge you not to come here and to go somewhere else. Upon entering the room, we were hit with an absolutely horrid stench and were offered a new room. When entering the new room, the spare bed was not cleaned and had a brown mark of some sort across it. The beds looked as if they had some sort of snot on them, and the couches weren't any better; they had dirt all over them. I feel like half the time, these people don't even clean the rooms until someone complains about it.

This was a very bad stay. In the morning I informed the hotel that I needed to extend my stay, but I booked the wrong room and the hotel did not tell me. They extended my original room and gave me the room card. But when I went to the hotel again in the afternoon, the staff had already cleared my belongings to the reception and told me that I needed to change rooms. I asked for a refund but was ignored by the staff, so I simply didn't want to pay the room fee and didn't want to stay in this unfortunate place again.
