Everything about this resort and our experience there was great! Free indoor parking. Stayed in super clean & comfortable suite 3226 in the Lincoln House section of the resort. No need to drive anywhere with shops and restaurants directly outside and within walking distance nearby. The gondola to ride up Mammoth Mountain is also right outside. We had such a good time we wanted to extend our stay, again.

From the moment you walk into the hotel we were greeted with a smile a warm welcome. Anahi and Daisy were amazing. We told them we were here for our wedding anniversary and they gave us a complementary upgrade with the pool view. This meant more to us than they will ever know 🥰 The stay was amazing!! The food throughout was excellent the rooms are comfortable and cozy. The pictures honestly don’t do it justice. Love the little touches throughout the hotel. We loved it so much we will comeback with our kids next year! Totally recommend 👍🏼 if I had only one critique, it would be the TVs. They’re a bit small and they’re not smart TV’s couldn’t connect to watch our favorite shows for cozy nights.

Amazing location! I had an excellent stay at this Mammoth condo. The location is amazing. The condo is right next to great restaurants and bars that had amazing food and drinks. The condo was comfortable and well-maintained, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. Will definitely stay here again next time I am in Mammoth!

It was a fantasy stay the moment we walked through the doors of The Village Lodge. Antonio took care of us, was super efficient and got us checked in at their best rates. He was super helpful, accommodating, and never dropped the ball. We were celebrating a birthday and the moment staff was made aware, they surprised us with a free upgrade, swiftly got us and our things situated, but not before gifting us some free red wine to celebrate the occasion! The rooms were spacious, clean, and super homey, with just the right amount of luxury feel. The bed was spotless and melt worthy comfortable. The bath/shower was a godsend after a day of lakes and mountains. The suite was fully equipped with closet space, a living room, a full decked out balcony, and a fully stocked kitchen. The A/C situation was the only slightly iffy part of our stay, since it’s only offered in the living room area, but that wasn’t a problem, the windows circulate the suite quite nicely. The shopping center had everything a traveler could hope for and we will 100% be back again. This was so amazing, thank you to Antonio and the rest of Staff at The Village Lodge for making this an easy choice and memorable vacation stay!

The Village Lodge Mammoth has an upscale, mountain-chic feel and the perfect location right in the heart of town. Our room was large, beautifully appointed, and included a full kitchen and cozy fireplace- such a nice touch while traveling. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and we felt very safe with the secure underground parking garage. We loved being able to stroll through the town square just steps from the lodge. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

I love staying here whenever I visit Mammoth Lakes!! My family and I have visited Mammoth 3 times now, and 2 out of the 3 stays we visited, we've chosen to stay at the lodge. It's right nearby the Village, so you get easy access through it by the pool area since it has two entrances to enter. I love how each room is designed like an apartment (they come with stoves and fridges)! The room I had stayed in the first time had a ton of DVDs, but during my 2nd stay, I couldn't find any in the room. The first time I stayed was around Oct. 12, 2024 and the pond had water. I also visited the Village in the summer of 2025 and went past the pond again, and it still had water. I came exactly a year in October of 2025 and sadly, no pond. Not sure what happened, but I was a bit bummed out about it. Parking lots are seperated by sections. I believe its based off of which area/wing your room is at. For me, we had to park in the Lincoln area, which is the building across from the check in/out lobby. I'll also attach the photos I took in 2024 & 2025.

My wife and I booked a stay at village lodge to celebrate our 8th anniversary looking for a relaxing gateway and we scored. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is calm and inviting. We had a wonderful time. At checkout as we are walking towards the desk Mandy had a smile that can light up a room. With a warm welcome she made our last few minutes of this amazing experience even brighter by extending an invitation to come back and bring our kids so they too could explore and experience this wonderful magical place. TOTALLY recommend 👌

Yelp
Great location and very convenient access to Canyon with the Gondola. The only inconvenience was the parking. We got a unit that accommodated 6 people but the lodge was only able to assign one parking spot. So we had to park cars across the street which was around $63 for 24 hrs. They didn't have it clear upon booking about the parking situation. The unit was clean and had all the kitchen necessities. A worker named Gil and another guy who only spoke Spanish were a great help. Gil kindly offered to help with our tire chains and he did it so quickly. Overall, a great stay but the parking prices are a bit high imo.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE. 4 things they could greatly improve upon for a $600+ per night lodge: - they need king size beds...at least have this option for larger people (there is plenty of room in the studio) - toilets that are a couple inches higher from the toilet water (which will help everyone not touch the toilet water so often when wiping, which is EXTREMELY disgusting) - jacuzzi should be at 100° minimum (preferably 101 or 102). And add a couple of strong jets. The jacuzzi was in the low 90's two of the nights and one night may have gotten closer to 97 degrees because we called to let the front desk know. I have a custom made jacuzzi which is why I can make an educated guest to what the temperatures were. - have filtered water filling stations in each building. We won't staying here again. We will try the Westin next time.

Yelp
If I could, I would give this place more stars! My husband and I love coming up here for our anniversary (October). This is shoulder season and honestly the best time to come. It's not busy, the hotels have deals, and the fall leaves are gorgeous. The Village Lodge is normally way out of our price range during the peak seasons but not during shoulder season and we booked through Mammoth Mountain website and got a deal. Maria who works here was also super accommodating and so pleasant. She helped get our room fast and with a beautiful view. The people are amazing who work here, the amenities are great, and you can't beat the location. The rooms are huge and comfy and overall you just don't want to leave. I highly recommend coming here during off times and truly enjoying the hotel. It's beautiful and they decorate!

F A.

Yelp
Worst. Rooms are dirty and the ladies that work the front desk are inconsidersate and rude. You would expect much more for rooms that are over $1k a night. Should have stayed at the Westin like last time.

Yelp
We recently spent a few nights in Mammoth, and this was our first stay at The Village Lodge. We had a one bedroom condo, and it had everything we needed, a stocked kitchen although we weren't cooking in. The living room had a fireplace, and a small balcony overlooking the Village Shops. Parking is in an underground lot, and we didn't have trouble parking. But we were also there mid week in October when there weren't many tourists, or skiers. While I have no complaint about the condo, it is a large complex, and if it was crowded in Mammoth and all the restaurants down below were open, I can see where our condo could have been noisy. It is a great location if you want to walk to restaurants and the ski lift. It is also an easy walk to Mammoth Brewery from the condo. We have stayed at many condos in Mammoth and cabins at Tamarack lodge. I prefer something with views of the mountains. We could have scheduled housekeeping, it wasn't automatic. Being as we were only there two nights, we opted not to have housekeeping come in.

Yelp
For the price we paid for this condo, I was underwhelmed and unimpressed. When we arrived, the room was incredibly hot and stuffy. We had tried to plug in the portable air conditioner, but quickly found out it did not work. The entire condo felt rundown and outdated. It was not the level of clean I would've liked it. There were stains on the carpet, some of the moulding around the doors was barely hanging on, the lock handle on my window screen was broken, and there were multiple scratches and signs of heavy use all around the condo. Additionally, the lights in the bathroom would flicker on/off for 5 seconds before fully turning on and when they were on, they were faint and very dim. There were also two cigarette butts on our patio, which really shows you how well they clean the place. We had four people staying in the condo and two of our guests were going to be driving separately since they could not get the time off of work to leave earlier. When I arrived early to check in, I was told that our other guests would not be able to park on site and were going to have to park in the public parking lot across the street which cost $50 a day. The hotel didn't offer to cover the cost of their parking. I thought that was absurd! The only redeeming factor of this condo was that it was located by the gondola that gets you to the mountain and there were multiple restaurants and activities nearby. Besides that, I don't know if I would stay here again. It was definitely NOT worth the price.

Yelp
Beautiful place and the accommodations are amazing! It is convenient to everything in mammoth and it is pricey but very nice!

Yelp
My bestie and I booked a last minute weekend trip to mammoth and decided on a condo in The Village Lodge. We loved the central location, easy garage parking, beautiful facility, and exceptional customer service. The pool and hot tubs were nice too. There were some very demanding guests. I was so impressed with the front desk staff, always smiling, poised, and helpful. We needed pool towels, extra coffee and cream, all provided with a smile and follow up question as to how they could further assist. Staying in the village is not the quietest place. The condo had pretty good sound insulation from the music and people outside. My bed was super comfy and condo nice and clean. I had fun people watching from the balcony. We were right across from the Tiki Bar, but I didn't hear anything loud music, other than the Rock & Roll festival going on down the way .

Kieu P.

Yelp
Amazing! The front desk receptionists were very hospitable and gracious upon entry. We received a complimentary upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom condo because we mentioned we were there to celebrate a birthday.

Louie R.

Yelp
Very poor customer service. They have no central air conditioning as well. They give you fans but even those are broken. Even their restrooms didn't work and their fridge didn't work. We got moved to another with similar problems. I'll never stay here again. A few days after leaving this review, management provided us with an option to change rooms, which was appreciated. I updated my review to 3 stars based on this effort by management, specifically Kayla.

Michelle O.

Yelp
Would I recommend? Maybe, just have realistic expectations before you go. It's a great location and a beautiful building. Front desk staff were wonderful, and we were able to check in early to swim, which was great. The suite was roomy and very functional. Here is the list of issues we had: upon exiting the elevator, we were hit with a noseful and farm smell. The hall smelled like manure and a chicken coop! So gross. The smell mellowed out over 24 hours, and it only smelled mildly like vomit. No air conditioning in the rooms! There's a room AC in the living room, but not nearly enough to cool the bedrooms. It was difficult to sleep it was so hot. The master bedroom had a ceiling fan, but the ceiling fan in the second bedroom was broken. Missing a shower head in the master bathroom, along with grit left unswept on the bathroom floor from previous guests. Spa jets weren't working. While it was nice to be able to do laundry, the process of being required to use a complicated app to do so was annoying. Overall, the property was nice, and the views and location are prime. We were hoping for a good night's sleep between two legs of a camping trip, and that was not accomplished due to the lack of air conditioning. For the price, I was hoping for more attention to detail, but I also wasn't expecting the Four Seasons.

Karan D.

Yelp
Husband and I spent two nights here in early August. Our unit was dated and the furniture was dinged and dusty. Bedroom lampshades were stained with God only knows what and should have been replaced a long time ago. Piece of base board was loose and sticking out. Pillow cases had small tears. We had to clean out the filters on the portable AC unit ourselves, looked like it had been a long time since it's last cleaning. In general the place is not well maintained. Awoke on our second day coughing and wheezing with runny eyes. Immediately recognized this as the symptoms of an allergic reaction. Quickly realized that the floor and the sofa were covered in dog hair which we hadn't noticed the night before but were very obvious in the morning light. It was very clear that the unit had not been cleaned or inspected prior to us checking in. I made the front desk staff aware. They were apologetic and immediately had the rooms cleaned and vacuumed. In the meantime we spent the day in a Benedryl haze, not a great start to our trip. Two stars because the staff were efficient. Wouldn't recommend staying here, there are probably much better places in Mammoth.

Yelp
Nice hotel right in the middle of Mammoth village. Limited services but very courteous staff and clean rooms. Unfortunately they don't change the linen every day. No on-site restaurant but there are several just outside the hotel. Underground parking.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Location! Location! Location! Easy book on line, friendly check in, nice underground parking. Walk to EVERYTHING. Rooms are good size, westin heavenly mattress- well appointed kitchen. Nice view & very quiet. We stayed in 1117

Maurene H.

Yelp
What an amazing lodge!  Our unit # was 1125 and I guess you have different owners and different amenities id the different apartments. The attention to detail with things I never would have thought of (humidifiers in every room, little things like Kurig loaded with different types of k-cups, lavender hand soap rather than a generic, nice bedding) really made it special.  I worked in the hotel industry for 20+ years and have never stayed at an Air B&B or VRBO.  This place is stocked and it's CLEAN.  The kitchen, the bathrooms, the headboard and light fixtures all spotless.  Bed was comfy too! Pool and 2 spas was awesome. Location central to everything. I can't say enough great things. Grand Sierra Lodge #1125

Yelp
One of the best places I have ever stayed! From the moment we reserved a Room to the moment we checked out we have had nothing but kind and exceptional service. Everything here is incredibly well maintained and clean. I was so impressed by the quality of my Room including the gorgeous vacuum lines on my carpet. The last time I was in mammoth I left with a negative view. This time the village and surrounding area resurrected the Passion to visit again. We really enjoyed our stay and are incredibly excited and grateful for all that we got to enjoy on this property this weekend. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to come back and enjoy with the family. Let's get that arcade open!!

Yelp
This place is amazing! It has everything--bars, restaurants, and rentals. If you want to head to the mountains, there's a gondola right in the village. Plus, you can ski back from the mountains to the village. The location is absolutely perfect! On top of all that, there's a heated pool and jacuzzi, which is just the cherry on top. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Yes this a lovely place, however Travelocity doesn't mention their policies of no bikes (which is the purpose of our trip) or skis/snowboards in the room. We didn't discover this until check in when we were forced to sign an agreement. Travelocity also advertises "secure bike storage ". Not so much. It is in a janitorial cage in the parking garage. No attendants no numbered ticketing exchange. Anyone that was going into said cage for their huffy bike could have access to your multi-thousand dollar bike. We didn't feel comfortable with that. We were forced to leave our bikes in the truck with multiple chains, cables and padlocks, and even at that we had a restless night worrying about our possessions. If the Lodge made this policy clear on their website I would not have booked this non-refundable reservation.

Michelle B.

Yelp
A huge shoutout to Antonio, Maria, and Adriene for such awesome front desk customer service! My son unexpectedly ended up in hospital and I desperately needed a place to stay, last minute. These 3 worked diligently to find me a room and accommodate me on a very busy weekend. I am very grateful. Thank you!!

Tim G.

Yelp
Stayed here for the first time for access to the gondola and Canyon Lodge. I won't be back. Apparently the DJ goes until after midnight, outside, at the Italian restaurant. Thus, every room is subject to this dance music while trying to sleep. The pool had lots of leaves and debris in it. Only one of the hot tubs in the pool area was usable forcing everyone into one hot tub and at times had 20 people in it (the other one was luke-warm at best). There was already a lock on the ski locker assigned my room. They said to just use any open locker," so now I'm causing the same issue for someone else. Rooms are really expensive for what you get. Better off with Airbnb or VRBO.

Yelp
This is our second year here and staff and location is excellent Rooms are large with full kitchen. They have the basics to cook with bring your own oil food etc.(I bring my own knifes). The location is near shops a lift. Mammoth has a free tram so you can park underground. The minus 1, Thin paper products. 2. Light fixtures toilet paper holders are all at angles 3. Portable AC only. Our unit had fireplace Storage on site for Ski and bike.

Yelp
Staff at the desk were fantastic. I really appreciated the way J Cox provided a solution for my dilemma. Staying here is super convenient. Lots of restaurants, shops, and a gondola to get up the mountain.

Yelp
Really nice hotel. Not exactly cheap but might be worth it if you're looking for a cozy and comfortable stay, with amenities and a great location. FYI: Check-in is normally 4pm (check-out is 11am) however they let us check in early. PARKING: They have a large underground lot (no extra fee to park although there is a resort fee). We left our car at the front of the hotel and checked in first. They gave us a key card and directed us to the parking area. It's just past the front desk / front of the hotel (turn right). You scan your key card to get in. I believe they can also buzz you in if you want to park first. ROOMS: We rented a one-bedroom condo. Really nice. Spacious. Clean. Full kitchen (with all necessary appliances). Big bathroom. There's also a balcony. Huge comfortable bed. The WiFi was functional and fast. We had a small issue with the fake fireplace. It wouldn't turn on (we even called the front desk to confirm we were doing it right). Not a big deal obviously, I didn't even know we'd have access to one of those! The other small gripe was their alarm clock. It started going off automatically (we didn't set it) and was a pain to turn off. We had to unplug it. Also heard it going off in other rooms so it's clearly a recurring problem. LOCATION: Possibly the best part. The Village Lodge is surrounded by the Village, a group of restaurants, bars, and shops. The atmosphere is charming although it can feel touristy as well. Still, you can park your car and relax, with everything right outside the hotel doors. There's a general store right around the corner with food, alcohol, travel necessities, souvenirs, etc. There are also a couple clothing shops with cute Mammoth Lakes gear as well as swimwear (if you forgot to pack some for the pool). I recommend Shelter Distilling for classy cocktails and Mammoth Brewing for a beer or two (technically not in the Village but a very short walk). You have multiple food options here although we again left the Village and walked a few minutes to Skadi (an amazing Nordic-inspired restaurant which I highly recommend; see separate review). AMENITIES: They have a heated pool and hot tub (which is generously open until 10pm). We didn't use it (too cold, didn't feel like disrobing) although it looked really nice. SERVICE: The front desk folks were really friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I forgot my expensive hot iron for my hair on the bathroom counter and unfortunately the housekeeping is very dishonest and never turned it in. I'm sure they find a lot of good stuff in the rooms. I called and it was never turned in. Won't be going back here as other things might be stolen from our room- won't take that chance.

Yelp
I'm writing this review as I'm being forced awake by the annoying loud music/base from the tiki bar. The music/crazy base is the same every night and runs from 10pm to 2am in the morning like clockwork. I wonder which genius decided to put a bar that plays loud music right next to hotel rooms, so they really expect people to sleep well with everything shaking from the crazy base music? I asked the front desk staff if anything can be done, and the answer is not if the music is under 75 decibels, 75 decibels is pretty loud and I'm sure that music/base is over 75 decibels. It also runs until 2am! Don't stay here if you expect some good rest before or after hitting the slopes. The cleaning services are very good though. I'm giving this review 1 star because hotel management needs to do something about the music from that tiki bar, hotel residents need to sleep! Rooms right next to the tiki bar should have warning disclaimers and heavily discounted rates. Make sure you mention the noise and request for a quiet room if you do decide to stay here, don't make the mistake I made; I didn't know as this was my first time staying here.

Yelp
PROS - The location of this hotel is prime -- close to restaurants and shops, and the gondola if you come here to ski or snowboard. - Room was good and clean (shower could've seen better days but not a huge deal). CONS - Outdoor noise levels -- our room was located on the ground floor and there was constant, loud noise from some sort of a truck coming and going, dropping off or picking up what must've been heavy items. Past 10pm even, which is really annoying if you're getting up early to hit the slopes. - Heating / cooling kinda janky -- we were convinced that the building has its own heating system. Our room was constantly hot even though we turned off the room heating. Staff was kind to bring us an air conditioning machine but ultimately we just opened our balcony door. - Paper thin walls -- it's close to midnight and we can't sleep because of how loud the music from the hotel BAR is. The plates in our kitchen are rattling from the base lol... To sum up -- you're paying for the location during a busy season if you come up here in December, but the cons make it realllly hard to justify the price tag. Would not recommend to a friend or stay here again.

Yelp
The best place to stay in Mammoth, for sure! We had an amazing time here and all staff that we came across was friendly and helpful. Our condo was clean, spacious and in the Lincoln building. It had a view of the gondola in the day and fire pits below in the night. Everything is so convenient and easy to get to. Ski shop, access to the slopes, coffee, restaurants, all right outside the doors. Parking is easy and located directly underneath your assigned condo. Our condo had a fully stocked kitchen, patio, full size refrigerator and dining table. We ate out but it would be a great set up for families. Our building had a small gym and a very hot jacuzzi. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend the Village Lodge for a great vacation. Enjoy!

Yelp
I had reserved a 2 bedroom suite several months earlier. My daughter came with her husband and my 10 month old grand daughter. We decided to call on the way up hoping we may be able to check in early with the baby. We were arriving on a Saturday which usually means chaos, however, They were super nice!! Although they could not guarantee anything they said just check with us when you get here. When we arrived it was semi busy. Not too much but seemed busy to me.. I was immediately met with a smile and friendly greeting. I said I am sorry we are early just hoping we may be able to check in with the baby. They recognized that we may need a quieter room for the baby and said they would like to change our room location if it was ok (apparently our other room was right near a bar area). Then she said is it ok of you are over the pool area, because I see you requested a view. I may be easier than most people, bit when someone is doing you a favor you do not get picky and you be gracious. Welp our room was outstanding!! Spacious, clean, and had a good view! Here is how I would rate everyone: Front desk: (pretty sure it was Mandy) 5 stars! Went above and beyond to try and make our stay a good one! Bell hop (Juan) 5 stars! Wow was he helpful. He took 2 trips for both our cars and helped us load and unload everything. $20 tip was not enough in my opinion but we did not have more cash on us. Very friendly Parking: 3/4 stars secure parking but it is limited. The front desk was very helpful here also which is why they get good stars. Proximity: 5 stars Very close to everything! You have a very short walk to the gondola and tickets if you don't have an IKON pass. Ski lockers: Very convenient. Close to a door for outside access and nice bench areas. You have to store skis in lockers because your not allowed to have them in the suites. (People damage stuff with skis and boards). Overall.... Employees have been awesome, facilities are clean, and the location is great! I still have 4 nights left to go. After my checkin experience I only see it getting better! 3 nights left checkin and update. Still going awesome. Had minor issue with coffee maker. Was replaced right away with no issues.

Yelp
Biggest complaint , the couch was so uncomfortable. Trying to watch TV while sitting, well couldn't because the TV was up so high above fireplace. Also the lodge never mentioned which restaurants were closed even though they handed out a suggested list, very disappointed

Yelp
Great hotel. You feel like you're in a lodge and the rooms are pretty large. Located in the middle of everything and there is a pretty nice pool. The room is very comfortable. Again, I was actually surprised as to how large it was. Even has a kitchen! Great. Some aspect do feel a bit on the older side, but overall it's nice. A great place in a great location.

Yelp
I was thinking I will stay in the 5 th floor building with 2 bedrooms suit . But when they assigned to us 3 rd , it was not bad at all . Close to the jacuzzi !! Love it a lot !! Thank you for great customer service manager and the lady assign us at 3 rd floor . My family have so much in this hotel and will come back to again . Very clean hotel and best location ever . And indoor parking .

Yelp
Love this spot so much, I try to go back every year. Nice staff and amenities. In fact I think everyone in town has been very, very nice. The Village is very clean and I love the location because there are shops, restaurants, downstairs and the view is absolutely beautiful. I think the price is a rare "fair" rate on the summer.
google avatar

Ali A.

Yelp
Condo had a few little issues but they upgraded us for free at check in so who can complain? So many convenient and entertaining stores/restaurants on the grounds.. something for everyone. Oktoberfest was unplanned and unforgettable!

S R.

Yelp
The noise outweighed what is generally a good condo. The place accommodated our family of 4, had a kitchen, and literally steps to the Village gondola, rentals and restaurants. The condo itself was clean and well maintained. Despite these pros, the level of noise outdoors made our stay intolerable. We bought earplugs, and even that was insufficient to block out drunk, after hours party goers. The restaurants blast music loudly and continuously from après and into the night and you can hear all of this in the rooms. If you've spent a long day skiing, and look forward to a quiet nights sleep to rest for another day...you won't find it here. The noise level isn't even muffled-it's as bad as being in the middle of the courtyard itself, trying to sleep while bars are closing. The noise was unbearable and prevented us from sleeping any of the nights we were there. Thankfully our kids slept. However, I would strongly caution anyone with kids with spending the night here since every night drunk bar goers are screaming foul language. We have stayed in hostels in Europe, and loud conditions and this was by far the worst. I really think I have slept better on a long haul flight to Euope in coach. I don't know if the noise is better on the rooms facing the street or if it's better on the top most floors, but I would strongly advise asking for a room furthest away from the courtyard, since the windows are not sound proof. Ultimately, I would choose any other place over this place due to the noise and lack of the rooms being equipped to handle this.
google avatar

Susan N.

Yelp
Drunks screaming in the courtyard at night so you have to close your bedroom window but there's no AC. The beds are hot. This place is built for winter. I repeat, it's hot and noisy. Don't stay here if you sleep hot or aren't a heavy sleeper. The kitchens in the 1 bedrooms are nice though. It's nice to have a real kitchen (pots pans and utensils are garbage but if you plan to cook a lot bring your own). Rooms are clean and cleaning services are good.

Yelp
The location is perfect! It's overall the best hotel to stay in Mammoth. The Tiki Bar is a thing. The comments that only some rooms are renovated is also a thing. If I experienced either of those things my review would change dramatically. However, I read the reviews and called. A gentleman named Dre picked up. He told me to call back after I booked because he could help me more then. Booked. The guy then confirmed and told there were two studios available, only one was remolded and away from the tiki bar. He put a note down for the room, told me it wasn't necessarily promised, but to follow up the morning of, just after 7am. I got the remodeled room in the good pictures, balcony, new furniture, fireplace, etc, 5 stars all day, thanks to a little help from Dre! Thanks man we had a blast! Btw, I never saw the guy bc I was there on his days off. Tip that guy! Also the village is comprised of 3 buildings, mixed use, with retail/food, w/in footsteps of the entrances.

Yelp
We've stayed here probably 30 or so times in the past years Always brought our dogs. Now they are really cracking down on no pets. They have welcomed our pets for years and now we have to stay elsewhere. The staff has always been hit or miss. Their security has always been a joke, sometimes all locked up, but mostly wide open, gates and doors.

Yelp
I will start off by saying that the property is very nice and clean. It is located right by The Village Shops and is local to almost everything. Our apartment had two bedrooms and was very nice and spacious. The staff was also very courteous and helpful. Now for the negative.... Our room was located right above the jacuzzi, which in any normal circumstance is not a bad thing. However, it was awful at this hotel. Nobody in our party got any sleep whatsoever because there were a bunch of drunk people banging around and yelling until 3:00 AM (on both nights) while in the jacuzzi. If you stay at this hotel, I recommend requesting a room away from The Village Shops and the pool. I read previous reviews before going to this lodge and I should have taken note. Luckily, I called and complained and Travis was kind enough to discount our room and resort fee for both nights. Nice lodge, but be cautious about where your room is located.

Yelp
Be very careful when booking. I was told after all units are individually owned. Some are better than other. YOU THINK?

Yelp
Great location!!!! Can't complain to have great food, drinks, coffee and shopping all in one area. The condos are comfy and homey. The balcony has come to good use. The pool is heated and the 2 hot spas are great. We came at the end of October (opening weekend) and didn't feel like it was super crowded. We didn't hit the slopes but met a very people who did. We ate mostly at the Village (except when we were out hiking) and loved the Eastern Sierra home store. The beds and pillows are very comfy. The bathroom is roomy and has all the essentials such as toiletries, hairdryer, magnified mirror and robes. The cons: late night loud noise/music from the tiki bar. I'm not sure if they have loud music on weekends only or every night but seems like it's a late night hangout most nights. Not ideal if you have small children because of the mouse. The toilet paper is very thin and towels are pretty rough. Also the hallway is very warm.

Yelp
Just came into Mammoth because Yosemite was full of smoke. My brother in law is out from Pennsylvania and wanted to see some beautiful sights. We needed a place at the spur of the moment and couldn't be happier to stay at The Village Lodge. Kayla was exceptional in her customer service both in her smile and efficiency. She got us an exquisite little suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Saved us some $$ by recommending it. Place was clean as a whistle and so so accommodating... Memorable!!! Thx Kayla and The Village Lodge You guys Rock!!!!

Yelp
My wife and I recently stayed here for our anniversary and we had a great stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was amazing. It was on the street side so I can't comment on the noise for the rooms overlooking the pool or in the village. The location can't really be beat with great restaurants, shops and the gondola so close. Underground parking is convenient but pretty tight especially if you drive a truck.

Yelp
This is a decent property for a nice quiet evening while in Mammoth, but it had a few rough spots. In fact there were many - the interior of the property just felt sort of old and worn down even though it was built less than 15 years ago. It's as if they are not bothering with making sure doors, molding, furniture, etc. are not banged up. It was strange that the kitchen table chairs did not match at all. In addition, it was rather warm in the room, we opened up a window to cool things off as it wasn't obvious at all how to turn the heat down. Aside from these things, it was a pleasant stay - the desk staff was nice and helpful, outdoor landscaping was pleasant, and the location was right in the Village and was convenient to the excellent Mammoth Brewery. The room itself had a separate bedroom, fireplace (real in the living area, fake in the bedroom), kitchen with handy fridge, and a nice balcony. For $215 or so on a Friday in early October, it wasn't exactly cheap but it was alright.

Yelp
Okay, the location is perfect and rooms are cute, but I really want to mention how sweet Lupita is. She greeted us with a warm smile and instantly made us feel comfortable and gave us an "at home" feeling. It's my first time in Mammoth, but I hope all the locals are as pleasant as Lupita- she set bar teally

Yelp
I'd like to begin by giving a shout out to Gil. We called prior to our visit and Gil answered our questions without hesitation. In fact, he offered us some additional suggestions. We were fortunate to have him check us. He deserves 5 plus stars for his excellent customer service! We reserved a 2 bedroom condo. Location was great...right in the heart of The Village. Within easy walking distance to shops and dining. Our condo came with a full kitchen with complete service for 8, dining room and TV sitting area. I was surprised there were 2 3/4 bathrooms. The only thing missing was a washer and dryer, but there are several on the first floor. Prices per load are very reasonable. My memory is a little fuzzy, but I think it was $2.00 for a load of wash and $1.00 for the dryer. They also have a change machine so you don't have to lug quarters with you. Gil mentioned that if we rent a 3 bedroom condo, those came with washer and dryers in the units. Thanks Gil! Our unit overlooked the pool area. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony taking in the fresh air and view. One minor issue is the gate banged quite loudly each time some one entered or left the pool area. A major issue we had was the cleanliness of the (2) grills. We had planned to grill, but seeing the leftover food stuck on the grills turned us off. It looked terrible! Hard to tell when the grills were last cleaned. Due to Covid, we declined housekeeping service. I'm not sure when the last time our unit was vacuumed. My white slippers had a grayish hue at the end of our 4 night stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Village Lodge. I would stay again if I make a return visit to Mammoth.

Yelp
The mammoth Mountain On line booking is a scam. The hotels refund policy states full refund of hotel reservations if reservation is cancelled 7 days before scheduled visit. I cancelled my reservation by phone 1 week before my scheduled visit. The customer service agent spent 1 hour arguing that dec 21 st is not 7 days before Dec 28; really??? And... mammoth refund policy says"We understand plans change" and if you cancel your lift tickets within 3 days , you'll get a full refund. The same customer service agent refused to honor their policy. Cameron the MGR clearly does not understand the value of honoring their own refund policy. Don't prepay anything. You may never get your money back in spite of their stated policy

Yelp
We decided to stay at The Village Lodge for our annual summer vacation. We decided on a condo, and we weren't disappointed. The room came with a full kitchen and accessories, fireplace, humidifier, room A/C unit etc. Our condo overlooked the shopping/dining center below. There's no lack of dining/drinking possibilities and the free public transport is icing on the cake. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, I cannot comment on room service because it is currently not provided. The staff we've come in contact with have been very accommodating and I appreciate the laundromat on site. We will definitely consider another stay'

Yelp
This is the place to be! Shot out to Lupita and Gil for the grade A service and hospitality. They go above and beyond to make you truly feel at home. Highly recommend The village Lodge to anyone staying in Mammoth lakes!

Yelp
I would specifically give this hotel a 3.5. We stayed here 3 nights in a 1 bedroom condo. Pros: the room was very nice. The kitchen was stocked very well to cook meals. The bed was comfortable. The location was excellent. The staff were friendly. Cons: during our stay, it was quite warm and the air conditioning was not great. It's a portable air conditioning unit and it was quite loud and didn't cool the entire room. Needless to say, I slept horribly most nights. In the rooms, there are only blinds and no curtains, so the sun blazed our room early which made it impossible to sleep in. Rooms should have curtains in the room. One of the sinks in the bathroom didn't drain. I would probably stay here again if it wasn't so warm out.
