The Vintage Hotel, Lisbon, Portugal - Explore & Book

"Set back from the popular districts of Bairro Alto and Chiado, yet within easy walking distance, The Vintage suits discerning travellers who prefer to dip in and out of the maelstrom – and of the hotel's groovy underground pool. Its casually luxurious, artful design evokes the chic style of nearby Avenida da Liberdade, one of Europe's most expensive shopping streets, and the elegant Parque Eduardo VII. The latter is perfectly placed for a life-affirming jog, but if your idea of holiday exploration means perusing the cocktail menu, make a beeline for V rooftop bar. Low-fi beats, inventive drinks and sweeping views of the majestic São Jorge castle set the tone. Downstairs is the reliably excellent Blue Bar and Restaurant where you take breakfast, while underneath it all, The Spa is The Vintage's little secret. Its dark, cavernous space and its dipping pool with powerful water jets are a godsend after busy Lisbon has attacked your senses. Retreat to your room to find rich monochrome hues, wooden floors, tall windows and sensuous Modernist design details. Benamôr products add whimsy to state-of-the-art bathrooms, while complimentary local spiced gins await on a vintage trolley. In fact, everything about this stay is stylish; particularly the guests. Fashion mavens and young couples with an eye for beauty will feel very at home here. Highs Bedrooms deliver the height of comfort: sumptuous sheets, marshmallow-soft beds, cosseting robes and moreWe relished the expertly-made coffees in The Hangout (lobby bar), where jazz records spin next to a striking portrait of a female Fado singerCatching your first glimpse of Lisbon's terracotta-topped vistas from the rooftop bar is epicThe neighbourhood is quiet, in the best way. We loved wandering along sun-dappled streets, past independent cafes and palm-shaded gardensThe inky cavernous ambiance of the underground dipping pool is a delight after a day's exploring Lows While vibey, the pool and gym area is very small, and reserved for spa guests at certain times (check ahead)If you're looking for a hotel right in the thick of it, The Vintage might be just a tad too far out (though still within stumbling distance of excellent gardens, shops, bars and restaurants)" - Amy Everett

I had such a wonderful stay at the Vintage Hotel. The staff at the front desk was so warm and welcoming upon our arrival and later helpfully booked us a great shuttle service to the airport.||I loved the hotel’s overall style and the cool midcentury decor. I walked in our room and immediately wanted to photograph everything! I loved the soothing green walls, yellow accents and wood furniture. And complimentary gin and tonic kits in the room? So chic!||Upstairs, we enjoyed specialty cocktails while soaking up the views of Lisbon sprawling around us. The hotel’s central location made for a perfect stay for our last night in the city as well as an easy early morning trip to the airport. My only regret is not booking a longer trip — but that's just all the more reason to come back.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with friendly smiles and greetings, along with impeccable service throughout our stay. Our hotel room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities needed. It even had free alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages included in our room. We enjoyed the rooftop bar which had amazing service and a live DJ in the evening. It was our 25th anniversary and the staff at reception recommended the most delicious dinner we’ve had in all of our time in Portugal. When we arrived back to our room, they had turned down our bed, closed the curtains, and left two cookies on the table. In the morning, you have to try the buffet breakfast. The team in the restaurant was over-the -top amazing with their service. You can order eggs and pancakes to your liking and any specialty coffee you prefer. This in on top of the already delicious buffet that was served. This hotel goes above and beyond for their guests and it was the best stay we’ve ever experienced!

Great experience. The staff was very professional and friendly. If we ever go back to Lisbon, we definitely will stay at the Vintage again. The breakfast was excellent and I could eat gluten free! It was one of the best. If not the best breakfast we have had in our travels. The staff was very attentive and friendly and made sure we had enough to eat😀

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible hotel in Lisbon, and I am absolutely blown away. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness is impeccable, the staff is unbelievably kind and attentive, and every single detail has been thoughtfully considered sometimes anticipating needs you didn’t even realize you had! It’s rare to find a place that combines luxury, comfort, and genuine care in such a seamless way. Every corner of the hotel reflects quality and refinement, making the stay not just comfortable, but unforgettable. Honestly, giving this hotel a rating of 10 feels far too little, it truly deserves so much more

We spent three nights at the Vintage in early August. What a fabulous place and wonderful staff. Everyone was cheerful, polite and keen to advise on any questions we had regarding Lisbon and places to see or to eat. |Our room was spacious, lovely and clean and perfectly quiet. The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice and some very enjoyable cooked options as well. |The rooftop bar was great for some early evening drinks with a great view and some chillout Ibiza tunes from the DJ. |The wellness centre was very relaxing with a nice little pool and steam room and sauna.|All in all, a really great place to stay and we were well looked after. If we are ever back in Lisbon we would certainly stay here again.

Pros - splurged and booked deluxe room for our 1 night. Front desk, breakfast and bellhop staff all very kind and attentive. Room was gorgeous, spacious, and great views. Bed was comfortable, patio was great for an evening wine and watching a show with Lisbon backdrop. -Room amenities - gin and tonic bar and cold drinks (beer and soda) in the mini fridge were all very good. Pro/con: Location. You are more in the downtown/locals/business area. Away from most tourist sites and walking sites you may want to see if visiting. This may be a pro depending on your reason for visit. -Keycard - loved having wifi and important numbers on the keycard. Such a simple design thing but brilliant IMO. - Pillows - thank you for having pillows that were not flat as a pancake Minor cons: -Rooftop bar space was beautiful but staff were completely unaware. We were never asked if we wanted a drink despite those around us being served. We went to bar and ordered and lost our seats. Had to wait for others to open. Once settled with our drinks no one came by to ask if we wanted another or app. Lost of opportunity. -Breakfast buffet was simple and fine but not much in way of protein. Even ordering eggs only had one option. We stayed at the Lisbon Hilton Duo before here and their breakfast buffett and menu were better. -Room light switches - There were no less than 20switches in the room. Trying to find the right switch for the right light felt like an escape room problem. We just started unplugging what we could to simplify. I'm not an idiot but we had to call the front desk to get assistance to turn off one light we couldn't find after 20min. -Room bathroom counter - the two sinks take up almost all of the counter space. I don't understand this design (not the only place to do this). I'm traveling and have a makeup/drop bag that I need to put things in/out of and only place I can put it is on a bottom shelf under the sink requiring up/down to get ready or even just brush teeth. -Had to request an iron. With all the amenities in the room, why do I have to call the front desk and wait for an iron and ironing board delivery. There is plenty of space in the room to have this in the large closet. -Thermostat - room is very new and freshly designed, but thermostat was not. Not being able to select a specific temperature, and guessing if you put the dial in a comfortable temp seemed odd in such a designed space.

I had a wonderful stay at the Vintage Hotel & Spa. The two Diegos at the front desk went above and beyond to make our trip stress-free—they even arranged a complimentary airport transfer and prepared breakfast boxes to go, so we didn’t have to worry about making our flight or going hungry. The entire staff was incredibly thoughtful and provided detailed recommendations for activities around Lisbon that really enhanced our trip. I also loved the special touches like the complimentary gin and tonic sets and drinks in the fridge. Location was also great and much better than staying directly downtown. Overall, a fantastic experience.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is really good, we really recommend the avocado toast and the pancake. And the room is also beautiful and clean.
