The Volunteer Inn B&B

We recently moved to village life, and have had a few Indian takeaways from this establishment. It goes without saying now settled in, that it was time to try a sit in meal at the resturant. We were not disappointed, My duck curry was fantastic and my wife's veggie curry, she said was the best she had tried. All in all we recommend the Maharaja, and when we walked through the bar it was lively and looked to be the place to go on a Friday evening, Couple of pints next time in the Inn before a feed wil be a must.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here! The pub atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The staff was super kind and accommodating, always easy to find and willing to help! We didn’t realize that the room we booked didn’t have an en-suite bathroom, so that was a bummer, but really not a huge deal. The restaurant was delicious as well!

Lovely, HUGE, bed and spacious room, up steep stairs. Very helpful and kind staff and a genuinely popular local pub. The room was quiet and we could reduce the heating, which was very cosy indeed! Excellent meal in the evening with a good choice of dishes. Breakfast was a bit disappointing in comparison - lovely lady serving us but poorer quality items. Would certainly stay again though. Parking a bit of a challenge in this popular village.

Lovely pub with rooms in a beautiful country village setting. Pub was cosy with all staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean with comfortable bed. Slept well. We had curry in the onsite Indian Restaurant. Excellent food and service. We booked our cooked breakfast. Kim was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. She went out of her to help. Best cooked breakfast ever. Quality, presentation and taste were the best ever.

I stayed for a couple of nights last weekend and had a nice stay. My room was comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished as was my bathroom. Bed very comfortable and I had a lovely view of an old church. People who run it are friendly and helpful and it had a nice atmosphere.

a great value place to stay in a lovely little Cotswalds village. The bar below is very nice with sports on big screens and a friendly atmosphere, and the room was very good for the price. The breakfast was good and the staff let us put bikes in a back shed out the rain overnight.

Went house hunting in Chipping Camden. Stayed at the Volunteer. Lovely reception when I arrived. Was upgraded to a room with ensuite facilities which wad nice. Dined at the Indian restaurant at the back of the pub. Delicious curry and excellent value

My wife and daughter stayed here for 3 nights and were happy with our decision. The pub downstairs has all the English feel that an American could hope for with a healthy selection of English cask ales. We were greatly pleased with the breakfast in the mornings and that the Inn was able to provide a cot for our little one.
