The Volunteer Inn B&B

My wife and daughter stayed here for 3 nights and were happy with our decision. The pub downstairs has all the English feel that an American could hope for with a healthy selection of English cask ales. We were greatly pleased with the breakfast in the mornings and that the Inn was able to provide a cot for our little one.

A very warm welcome but the wrong room(no.9) for 2 walkers walking the Cotswold Way. We were above the bar and kept awake till well past midnight by noisy darts players. Not a good start to our holiday

A great B&B in Chipping Campden. The town becomes quiet at night and this Inn and it's pub gets noisy. But it's a nice feeling to be part of the pub. The Bangladeshi run Indian Restaurant is not really Indian food. They need to employ real Indian cooks to do up the food.

Clean and spacious room in a central location. Staff were welcoming. Very noisy from both the courtyard and beer garden until closing time, then again from 0700 when the hotel woke up with a sound like a jackhammer downstairs. A vibrant pub for the locals on a Friday bank holiday weekend. Depends what you are looking for whether this is the place for you

Lovely B&B in a fantastic location. Staff are very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was perfect. I've seen reviews complaining about noise but we had no issues and our room (No 5) was above the outdoor seating area. Would recommend to anyone wanting a short stay in Chipping Campden.

We didnt stay at the Volunteer Inn hotel but as a crowd, we managed to book a table of 11 couples last Saturday, our crowd were in high spirits after a friends fantastic wedding in Chipping Campden on the Friday and we were probably not the quietest ! The food was delicious, service was brilliant, the staff were very friendly and even accommodated our request for Indian music, to which our crowd of 22 attempted to dance along to !!!! Hopefully we didn't upset the regular punters and would definitely re-visit the Volunteer when we return to Chipping Campden.

The Volunteer Inn was a perfect place to start the Cotswold way walk as the start is directly across the street. The room was spacious and comfortable, the pub is nice and the breakfast was solid. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

Nice people and atmosphere but a there was a lot of noise and we had a poor night sleep. The rooms were situated directly adjacent to a pub that was very busy and noisy until 00:15. Sound insulation to the outside and other rooms was poor and even caused us to wake up again at around 3:30, when the neighbours woke up to walk to the toilet (like the ceiling was coming down..). On top of this, our room (1) had very little privacy and we could easily be observed by pub visitors from every angle.
