The Waffle House

The Waffle House offers an impressive variety of both sweet and savory waffles—definitely something different and fun to try. The quality is good and the portion sizes are fair, but the pricing feels a bit steep for the average diner. R186 for chicken ala king topping just doesn't feel justified. It’s a nice treat now and then, especially if you’re looking to try something unique, but not somewhere I'd go regularly just based on cost. Still, worth a visit if you're in the mood to indulge or passing through as we were.

A visit to the Waffle House in Ramsgate is mandatory if you are in town. Offering a mouth-watering menu of sweet and savoury waffles (as well as other treats), this is definitely the place to go for anyone with a sweet tooth. The milkshakes were a big hit with our group. Staff are friendly and attentive. The quality of the food is excellent, and the portion sizes are good. Prices vary, but in general, menu items seem to be moderately priced. The Waffle House is great for a treat after a day on the beach, but just be wary that you might have to queue on busy days during the holiday season. We were lucky enough to visit when it was relatively quiet. Well worth the visit! The Waffle House also has a deli and takeaway section where you can purchase various items, including fresh organic produce, prepared meals, frozen waffles, and other products.

We had a lovely Valentines breakfast. The staff were friendly, the music was pleasant, and the food was absolutely delicious. Management was very kind and replaced our side of bananas for our baby, which originally came with sprinkles, with banana slices with no sprinkles. Baby chair provided. Definitely recommend The Waffle House!

Great venue, great service, and amazing waffle experience at a place that can only be described as an institution. There is an artisanal shop that sells amazing wares, and there is a charming play area for families with kids. It's definitely worth a visit. I'm going back.

The service is great. The waiters are very helpful and makes suggestions on the specialty dishes of the day. BUT. TO PAY R40 for a coca cola or any softdrink. Is daylight robbery. I will definitely never ever drink something at the waffle house. They charged us R160 for 4 drinks. I think they should rethink the drink prices.

Absolutely amazing, beautiful environment, great ambiance, not to mention the amazing food that is outstanding and has been consistently so for decades - a must do - try the Belgian choc chip waffle with chocolate mouse

Great menu and service. It was busy, but we managed to get a table quickly. The waffles were delicious, they had options for vegan, gluten free and sugar free options for the waffles. We ate the caramel and macadamia (on the sweeter side but really flavorful), baklava waffle (quite sweet), apple and raisin waffle on gluten free waffle with dairy free ice cream(waffle was a bit bland but complemented the toppings) and a plain waffle.

A group of us visited the "famous" Waffle House in Ramsgate. The waffles were delicious, the service was excellent and you still had the opportunity to shop in their local store or the local vendors. We'll worth it
