The Wales House

For the price the Wales House is a fantastic place to stay. It's well situated in Minneapolis, and in a very nice, quiet area. The staff is super friendly and eager to help in any way they can (local things to do, world wide travel suggestions even). The other patrons we encountered were friendly, but most seem to keep to themselves. The breakfast included is free, but could be a little more substantial. Overall though just fantastic, a very comfortable and relaxed place.

Wales House is a really nice comfortable, clean, and friendly, "home away from home". I have stayed here many times when visiting the university and love it every time. It is well located, on a quiet tree-lined residential street, but close to the university and Dinkytown, which has restaurants, a small supermarket and a post office. The owners are really lovely and helpful, and getting to know the other guests around the breakfast table is always fun. Having stayed in a few other places, this is by far the best place to stay in the area.

I have stayed at the Wales House twice so far: the first time was for more than a week with my mother and the second time was for a month by myself. Both were very satisfactory. House was elegant, cozy, and clean. Owners were nice and took care of customers. I had quiet neighborhood inside and outside the house, though Dinkytown around this house has been known to be often noisy (especially on Friday). The house is also located at a convenient distance to the UMN and bus stops. I miss the Wales House.

A great place. Home away from home. Owners are lovely and very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and you can walk to downtown and many other places. I strongly recommend Wales house to people visiting Minneapolis.

I had a good stay at The Wales House. Kelley and Julienne Carver manage it well; everything is well organized and house and facilities are very clean. Breakfast is light and location is very convenient, close to a mini Target, coffee places, restaurants and bus stop. The Carver make sure you enjoy your stay, always very helpful and friendly.

This house is amazing. It was my home during my time at the University. The owner are kind people. I would like to meet them again. All my best wishes for you all.

Friendly owners, good hospiality and clean rooms. I recommend to anyone visiting Minneapolis.
