Shane and I went there for the first time for our wedding anniversary last week. We fell in love with this place! The atmosphere is cozy, the staff was super friendly and we love the decor and use of an old building. We sat at the bar instead of table and both the bartenders were great. For food we got the chicken lollipops (which could be a whole meal!), fresh fettuccine, mac and cheese and the chicken cordone Bleu. Let me tell you what, that was the best food we've had in Maryville. At the very end of our meal, they brought us out a surprise, complimentary cheesecake brownie dessert because the ladies behind the bar had heard us saying it was our anniversary. Are the prices higher than what you're probably used to? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely! They make good food. We'll definitely be back!

I took my fiancée to Walnut Kitchen for her birthday. We started at the bar and Mary B. made us two fantastic drinks. I had "Here comes the sun" and it was visually stunning and delicious. My fiancée had a chocolate martini and was equally as pleased. Shes a great bartender and very friendly. After drinks we made our way to the dinning room. Christian brought us warm bread immediately. Sourdough and cornbread with molasses butter. The cornbread was next level. The atmosphere is fantastic and very comfortable. Christian took great care of us throughout our meal. We started with lobster dip and pita chips. It's a cast iron skillet full of cheesy lobster goodness. Very rich and decadent. My fiancée had chicken cordon bleu and was very pleased with her meal. She really liked the presentation as well. I had the braised Korean BBQ pork bao buns. The pork was incredibly tender and flavorful. The pickled vegetables really complimented the meat. It to was visually stunning. The whole experience was very enjoyable from start to finish. The atmosphere is really comfortable. The staff is excellent and attentive and the food is good and priced reasonably for the quality. We would definitely reccomend a visit to The Walnut Kitchen. We will be going back for sure.

My husband made reservations a few days in advance for our date night, and the evening started off nicely. We shared the Lobster Dip—pretty good—and were immediately impressed by the service. Our server was warm, attentive, and truly one of the highlights of the night. The food itself was good, though not outstanding. My filet, unfortunately, was underwhelming, but my husband enjoyed his elk loin. We paired our meal with a bottle of Cabernet that ended up being a great choice. What we absolutely loved was the ambiance—cozy, inviting, and perfect for a night out together. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and a lovely evening, but we’re not entirely sure the meal justified the price point. *I would recommend to request to be seated in the front dining area.

Where do I start?! If I could give 10 stars I would. The experience & service was top notch. We sat at the bar. We had the pleasure of Andy taking care of us as the bartender. His drinks were tasty & perfect. The food was delicious. Andy really made this experience 10/10. We got the tomahawk steak. They bring it out & torch it a little. Perfect evening that was not expected when we arrived. Will go back!

Google
1st time at Walnut Kitchen & we had a great experience! Jason was our server & he was awesome! The bread served first was wonderful, lobster dip appetizer was very tasty. We had blackened trout & elk loin as main course. Both were amazing!

Jeff W.

Google
Great ambience & service. Deliciously creative culinary combinations. High-end cuisine in a rustic, relaxed & informal setting. Don't pass up the Korean BBQ appetizer (pictured), if it's being offered.

Google
We had another great meal at Walnut Kitchen. The bread service featured cornbread and sourdough with sorghum butter. I decided to go for the sourdough and thought it was soft and had a strong sourdough taste. For my meal, I chose the Cajun Filet Pasta that has seasonal vegetables, mushrooms, Cajun cream sauce, and freshly made in house fettuccine. The Filet was cooked perfectly and slightly spicy from the Cajun seasoning on the steak. I thought the mushrooms had an earthy taste, and the vegetables were fresh. Lastly, the pasta was al dente, and the sauce was more smoky than spicy. I highly recommend trying the pasta. If you’re afraid it’s going to be spicy, it wasn’t spicy at all. My mom ordered the pork chop which came with green apple + bacon chutney, campfire potatoes, cauliflower, arugula, and apple cider reduction. The pork was cooked perfectly and was juicy. (Sorry the picture didn’t come out right) My Dad chose the chicken special, which was a stuffed chicken breast with spinach and cheese. Then it’s wrapped in prosciutto and fried. It was served with asparagus and creamy polenta. Overall, I would highly recommend going to Walnut Kitchen if you want a delicious meal every time.

Google
Wonderful food and staff. Our waitress Tabitha was a gem. Owner on premises making sure all cylinders were running smooth. Atmosphere is unique. Not bad, just different and appeared very clean. Will definitely return.

Yelp
The Walnut Kitchen never disappoints! I enjoyed the Chef's Garden Salad & Simpson's Meats Filet, as well as the Asparagus & Bacon Mac & Cheese. Very friendly staff and unique atmosphere.

Yelp
1. Very nice atmosphere. 2. The history of Blount County via the pictures on the wall is a nice touch. 3. We shared the 45 day aged ribeye and it did not disappoint and the accompaniments were amazing too. 4. Oh, and they make great cocktails as well.

Steve R.

Yelp
We have dined there many times and tonight we had a good experiance. The food was good and so was the service, but this is not an exceptional atmosphere for speacial events. The last few times we visited we noticed the prices continue to rise to the point we can dine at several High end locations for less money and they are much better selections. The food was good ,very are disapointed in the cost and probably will not go out of my way for a reservation.

Marcus V.

Yelp
We have always enjoyed Walnut Kitchen and tonight was no exception. The food was good, the service was good, though the atmosphere has become quite casual and the prices have risen substantially in recent months. We enjoy restaurant dining quite regularly and for us, there are better choices for a $$$ experience. Disappointed, but WK is probably off our short list.

Yelp
We had a disappointing evening at Walnut Kitchen earlier this month. We had the reservation two months in advance for a party of seven to celebrate a birthday, but sadly they gave us a horrible table that was crowded and extremely noisy. My parents, who use hearing aids, couldn't hear anything over the clamor and I could barely hear anything myself. Additionally, service was ridiculously slow. It took an hour just to get our salad starter. My husband and daughter ordered burgers and thought they were awful. All the other entrees we ordered were great (elk, shrimp & grits, pork fried rice, salmon) but the over all experience was so bad that we will never go back to Walnut Kitchen, especially since Foothills Milling Co is right across the street and always delivers an impeccable experience. When you pay that much money for a meal you expect excellence, and we did not get that.

Brooke M.

Yelp
Amazing salmon cooked medium. This place has a great staff and is very accommodating for dietary restrictions.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. My second time here. One of my favorite places in Maryville. Recommended it to many friends.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant! Food is amazing, their filet is mouthwatering and elk is so tender ! It's farm to table concept and you can taste it , everything tastes very fresh and delicious! 10/10 !

Yelp
Restaurant was recommended and it was incredibly inviting. However, reason for 3 stars is the service was really lacking. The time to order an appetizer, drink, and food were all off. Our waitress seemed very flighty. She would take our appetizer order and take off when we were all ready to order our entrees. No wine menu at the table so had to wait for that. She took all the menus except one and I had to hand it to the hostess 15 minutes later. I thought we would get the complimentary cast iron cornbread everyone raved about, but we did not receive one. Instead, we ordered the butternut hummus which was lovely and given extra bread upon request. I had the grilled beef tenderloin over gorgonzola pimento grits. I had ordered medium rare, but half of it was pretty darn rare. I thought that was odd that no one noticed when the beef is sliced. The grits were really tasty though and don't think I'm a collared greens fan as it is too vinegary for my taste. Had a couple french fries at the table and though oily and overcooked they were good. Overall the food was tasty, but the service could really be worked on. Parking is also very limited but you can park behind the restaurant though it is a gravel lot.

Yelp
Amazing wrong turn and we thought ok here's a place to eat.. let's give it a try BINGO!!! We will be back!! The place has great atmosphere and service and the food .. OMG.. we only came for lunch but watched the fare passing by as well!! My wedge salad which THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD.. I split with my friend so we could split her chicken salad wrap. We decided on a side of grilled squash with the wrap to let the fries go!! I could have eaten a plate of that grilled squash .. GRILLED WITH GRILL MARKS... to perfection !! All I can say is we come from Knoxville and will be back!!! Dinner I already know is going to be amazing!!! Took time to look up the story on Knox News on this place!!! Great great job DAVID RULE and CREW!!!

Yelp
Wow! I'm sometimes hard to impress with restaurants and food, but I am extremely pleased with our experience and meal here! We were celebrating my Aunt's birthday and were able to make reservations (big plus!). We needed one more added to our party last minute. A quick call fixed that. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted, seated, and provided with menus and water. Our waitress was super personable, friendly, and attentive. I loved her greeting of, "hi, friends!" The skillet cornbread to start was a nice welcome and start to our meal. We ordered the charcuterie board and the spinach dip. I was too interested in the spinach dip to taste much of the board, but the table enjoyed it! The spinach dip with the red pepper jelly on top was delicious!! I had the filet with mashed potatoes and macaroni. I cleaned my plate! My steak was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and tender. All the flavors went well together. Then...for dessert!! We opted to try "one of each" of the desserts - crème brûlée, key lime pie, strawberry cobbler, and mama's brownies. My, oh my!! Everything was over-the-top good!!! I loved the shortbread crust on the key lime pie. The strawberry cobbler smelled old-timey and made me sentimental. The brownies were dangerous! Such a great experience in a nicely decorated building. Friendly staff, quality food, great location! Will be back!

Yelp
Delicious food and attentive service in a lovely old building. It's always been busy when we drive-by in the evening so it seems you must have a reservation. But yesterday we happened in for lunch as we were leaving the area, and it was delicious. I so wish we would've been able to have several meals at this restaurant, but we will return. I had a pimento grilled cheese sandwich on Texas toast with a side salad that was delicious and fresh and we shared some amazing onion rings.
google avatar

Suzette D.

Yelp
Came here with the family and upon arrival, we told the hostess that we were expecting one more person than the reservation noted. They did not skip a beat and made accommodations for us. Our server, Grace, was the most attentive and professional server we've had in a long time. The food was terrific, the ambiance was spot on, and the evening was perfect. Thanks Walnut Kitchen for another wonderful dining experience.

Yelp
I absolutely love coming to the Walnut Kitchen!! Their staff is always extremely friendly and knowledgeable, whether you sit at the bar or a table. The restaurant has an upscale environment without being too loud, but still has personality. The bar drinks are ALWAYS stellar, I had the Delia recently and it was phenomenal. Foster, Andrew, and Mary have always been excellent at the bar!! I would recommend the lobster dip to anyone and the seafood power bowl!

Lisa H.

Yelp
This was the best meal I've had in a long time. The New York strip was cooked perfectly with spiced perfection. The Brussel sprouts side was amazing, crispy, not bitter and wonderfully seasoned. My husband's dry aged ribeye was absolutely heavenly along with his asparagus with hollandaise sauce-the best I've ever had!!

Chad C.

Yelp
It's probably been a year since our last mediocre visit so as I stated in my previous review we would try again and we tried it again to be disappointed. Seems there's always a transition when we visit. Last time it was a new chef and tonight it was a new manager. Well, we won't be back for the next transition! Started with salads and after a delay my wife had a basic garden salad and I had a wedge salad which was once again the ONLY highlight. After long waits for drinks and right at the point of walking out we received our main course over 1 hour after ordering. My wife just had the burger and green beans and I had a filet and parm Brussel sprouts. Everything came out less than warm. We were both so hungry we ate part of it anyway. The Brussels were uneatable. Manager did come out to try and make it right, but we told him we just want to pay our bill and go home. He did give a $50 gift card in which I'll give away to someone I don't like for Christmas. Back to the Milling!

Sloan K.

Yelp
Excellent service and atmosphere. Steak flavor was perfect, sides were typical but with unique spins on each

Yelp
Over all a good experience. We came here for our 1st anniversary. We always like to pick a new place to try in the area for special occasions. I wouldn't say it was anything special for a celebration, I've been to other restaurants where they celebrate with you or acknowledge the occasion for coming out. Aside from that, the food was flavorful and they had fair portion sizes.

Talya S.

Yelp
So good! We have been a fan of Simpson's Meats for the past few years and purchase meat from their butchery in Knoxville. I was pleasantly surprised to learn they ran this restaurant. We decided to treat ourselves to a meal out and went here for the first time. I had the 6oz filet and my husband had the shepherds pie...both were delicious! In addition to having an amazing meal, our service was also great. The server was attentive without being overbearing, ensuring we had everything we needed. We will be back!!

Darrell G.

Yelp
Burgers are good a little pricey 18 dollars. But the desert the Cinnamon Bun Hard dry not hardly warm. Not worth the 14.00 they charge for the Bun

Yelp
Wow, what an amazing restaurant Walnut Kitchen is! This place is the definition of hospitable and welcoming! We moved here to the area and right away got into the restaurant scene our first night. We chose here since my fiancé loves a menu with game meats on it. So of course, we ordered the Elk Loin, and Man O Man it was sooooo tasty! It was served with a garlic risotto, wild mushrooms, and a blackberry gastrique. But the coffee spiced rub on the elk is what made that whole dish killer! Chef Jason is very creative and talented and we were very impressed by that dish alone. Do yourself a favor and get the brownie for dessert. That was also heavenly divine and tasted like it was a fusion of a cheesecake and a delectable brownie! Service was impeccable from Mary in the bar. She was very friendly and welcoming and even made us a list of places to try around the city. She was super bubbly and just you can tell she has a very sweet, caring soul. I will definitely be coming back and me & the fiancé said this will be our new date night spot. Make sure if you come in you sit at the bar and see Mary kill it with service and with amazing cocktails. Thursdays is half off bottles of wine and I recommend taking advantage of that deal!

Heather Rose M.

Yelp
We enjoyed the walnut kitchen! Intimate setting and great for special occasions. Our server was fantastic, she was friendly, kind, and timely. The only lapse was not having a certain plate on the main menu that my mother was looking forward to. The food was otherwise delicious. They also have a wide variety of cocktails and extensive wine menu to choose from. I recommend the chicken gnocci and wedge salad!

Todd H.

Yelp
From the moment we walked in the door right up to and including our departure we were made to feel as if we were the only patrons, and they were very busy. Our server Christiansen took excellent care of us, we started with possibly the most delicious, meaty crab cakes we've ever had then for entrees I had the dry aged ribeye and the wife had the NY Strip. We shared brussel sprouts and the asparagus with holandaise sauce and finished with the berry cobbler. We met the owner, the sous chef as well as many of the managers and everyone was very personable and genuinely concerned in making our personal dining experience everything it could possibly be. Every bite was absolutely phenomenal in every way and in a fantastic, quiet and well decorated restaurant. We can't wait to get back and try many more options, we definitely have a new must go to place. Excited to try the lunch options very soon.
google avatar

Dale K.

Yelp
Best food I have found in years. Excellent, friendly service and a marvelous menu. Hope to return soon.

Bradley R.

Yelp
The food was really good. Sat at the bar and the two bartenders were very nice and kept our drinks full. Got the street corn as an appetizer. Had a little spice to it which I liked. Give it an 8 out of 10. The Cajun Noodles with Filet with pesto and feta was really good. Give that an 8 as well. The brownie sundae was amazing. 9.5 out of 10. So good. Thanks for the good food and great service. Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

B Z.

Yelp
Best food in Maryville! My number 1 place to go on date night. My only suggestion is to bring back the A1 sauce. The steak is amazing but I love A1 to pair it with. Service has always been perfect too.
google avatar

Mrs. V.

Yelp
The food was amazing! I usually don't go out because restaurants don't cook as good as I do... I had the grilled beef tenderloin and the wedge salad and both were amazing . This place was a hidden gem of a restaurant

David H.

Yelp
Snooty dandies with no taste eat here. Overpriced for the quality of food, experience and service. This place seeks to seem exclusive purely on reputation of having a mediocre chef from BlackBerry Farms. They use low grade ingredients. Recommend taking your guests to Fire+Smoke on Northshore, Foothills Milling, or RT Lodge instead. Enjoy a much higher quality ingredients and don't support these jerks. This restaurant group is just trying to rip off tourists and locals alike.
google avatar

Jonathan W.

Yelp
We enjoyed another wonderful dinner at the Walnut Kitchen last night. This is our favorite spot in the Knoxville surrounding area. You cannot beat the quality of food here. Service was stellar. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Aaron C.

Yelp
Arrived when they opened at 4pm, and was seated right away... in the dungeon, complete with low metal ceiling. A windowless den next to the kitchen. I was told they just seated people here and they worked their way to the front, which has has nice big windows and high ceiling. Seems backwards to me. Pardon the poor lighting in the pictures... the dungeon only has artificial light. 6oz Fillet was ordered medium rare but delivered rare. Highly seasoned with salt especially pepper. Beef flavor was good for a filet. Fries were served hot and fresh, slightly oil soaked. Cheese and Bacon Rotini was ok, the rotini were al dente but the bacon was crumbled and reminisced of a flavor out of a bag of bacon crumbles. Service was pleasant, attentive and with a smile.
google avatar

Jeff V.

Yelp
I have traveled all over TN & AL the past 8 years with my career, so I eat at a number of restaurants! Today I had the Buffalo Chicken wrap at Walnut Kitchen, this was the absolute BEST wrap I have had in all the places I have eaten, the homemade buffalo sauce was outstanding! The chicken tenders were perfectly made and it was the perfect wrap. On top of that, for a mid afternoon lunch, the staff was incredibly sincere and genuine and it was just a nice peaceful environment. FYI.. In 8 years I have only wrote a review 1 other time. If you are in Maryville TN don't miss this, so good I may come back for dinner just to eat off the dinner menu.
google avatar

Cory B.

Yelp
First time here as we celebrated our one year anniversary. We were not disappointed. We ordered the 24 oz Cowboy Ribeye to share with mashed potatoes and broccolini. We ordered the Ribeye medium, and it came out perfectly. The seasoning was spot on as well. Easily one of the best steaks I have ever had. The mashed potatoes were delicious, as they were cooked and seasoned to perfection as the garlic was on point. The broccolini was amazing as well. Service was top notch, and what a great atmosphere. We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Upscale flavors with a business casual vibe! Inviting and welcoming staff as you walk in. Very attentive service throughout the course of the meal. The wedge salad was delicious! With all the bleu cheese crumbles and bacon it was not overly salty. Wonderful appetizer! Followed up with a complimentary cornbread skillet with velvety honey butter that spreads perfectly. I went with the ribeye and it did not disappoint! Beautiful grill marks and sear, fat rendered perfectly with each bite. Peppery micro greens added a beautiful touch! *chef's kiss* 10/10 recommend

Yelp
Walnut Kitchen was recommended to us by a friend. We had some errands to run in Maryville so we decided to do them in the afternoon and end with a nice dinner at this place. They open just before dinner time, so, if you're going to make a reservation I'd suggest doing it on line. The atmosphere was different, a bit woodsy, industrial/modern. Kind of trendy. The waitress was ok, but seemed a bit behind the curve on the menu. She was unsure about more than a few things we questioned on some of the dishes, in particular the specials. The menu has a lot of farm to table, so the specials change weekly. Pricing is ala carte, sides and salads are an extra charge. Just a suggestion, if you ask for water, make sure to get some lemon. The local tap water is pretty sad. The food was decent. I had yellowtail tuna with an interesting chimmichurri sauce on a bed of stir fried veggies. Nicely executed and a good mix of flavors and textures. The better half had sirloin fettuccine. It wasn't what I would call a traditional fettuccine sauce, but was good nonetheless and the portion was more than adequate. We found the wine list unimpressive and overpriced. We're not snobs, but we kinda know our way around a wine list. I forgot to ask if there's a corkage fee if you bring you own wine. Overall it was a decent experience but not worth the asking price. Definitely a cut above the chain restaurants but not enough to justify the price. Also, looking at past reviews, they are mixed but what stood out to me is that there is no response or input from owner/management to any of the reviews. I'm not sure if that means that they don't know or don't care. Either way, they need to show that they are open to customer input.

Yelp
Lovely birthday dinner at Walnut Kitchen. They bring each table a signature cast iron skillet of homemade cornbread which was fluffy, crispy and delicious - it was a perfect balance of not too sweet or too grainy/earthy. My son and I both ordered a wedge salad which has become the wedge salad we compare all other wedge salads to. He had the strip steak and grilled shrimp for his entree, and not a bite remained. My dad and I both ordered the seared chicken with gnocchi in a thyme cream sauce, and it was absolutely scrumptious. It was half priced wine night and the server was kind enough to bring me a couple of tasters which allowed me to select the perfect bottle of wine. We were there on a Wednesday night and had a reservation which seems to be a must - the place was hoppin'. I'm looking forward to going back again.

Yelp
I honestly don't think I have ever given a bad review on a restaurant because I know how hard the industry grind is, but tonight is my first. We did arrive 30 minutes early for our reservation. We were told we wouldn't be sat until our time. The hostess proceeded to set 12 tables before us. 15 minutes passed our reservation time my husband questioned the hostess who told us she texted us. She did not. She said she gave our table to the people who claimed to be us with us sitting within 4 feet of her for 45 minutes. It was excuse after excuse. She sat us 10 minutes later in the bar area. There were two other tables that had been open for 20-30 minutes. She claims she told the manager about the mistake who gave us a free appetizer. Our waiter was ok. The food was not disgusting but was also not worth the price. The steak was over seasoned and the sweet potatoes tasted like butternut squash purée and it was not good. We are not picky eaters, never send food back, and consider ourselves foodies. The food needs a tester and the front of house needs help. We won't be back to this one.
google avatar

Dennis L.

Yelp
Well, this is a nifty place. Digs: very neat. Unfinished brick interior, cool decor, but very loud (no soft surfaces for sound). Service: not too bad. Server was polite and energetic, but lacked the polish that you'd want to match price tags. Food: really, really good. My group ordered the entire menu and we swapped a lot of food. Pork chop-really solid. Duck ramen--fun. Scallops-truly well seared. Steaks-honestly, I think the best match for price tag...exceptionally well prepared. I get that they push local / fresh but I think you pay a little for the image they are trying to sell. Not to take anything away from what and how they offer, but it was a bit pricey.
google avatar

Jude L.

Yelp
This one is a disappointment. My wife and I have tried to go many times but they are always fully reserved. So we did finally make a reservation. But we were disappointed. But let's start with the positives. The ambience is nice and it does give out a bit of a rustic feel to it, which matches the farm to table theme. Our waitress is also very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food is a disappointment. First of all, we ordered the chicken lollipops. They come out fast. But there may be a reason for that. They are made in advance and probably have been sitting in a warming tray. They taste dry and too well done. Then we ordered the steaks. The price is much higher than the quality of the meat. The quality is mediocre but the price is too high for the quality. The only bright spot is my side dish of Mac and cheese with bacons. So overall, for the price you paid, the food is not worth the price.

Brendan E J.

Yelp
Wonderful food and service. The ambiance was nice. A little loud, like most "modern" restaurants.
google avatar

Dwan F.

Yelp
The cornbread & butter were really good, but the chicken lollipops had no seasoning as well as the rib eye steak it was tough so you could not chew it. No seasoning on the steak it was really bland with so much fat great meat on it. The salad had small spinach leaves on top. The food is over priced for the taste and atmosphere you might want to visit Foothills milling, it's worth a try..

Rhonda D.

Yelp
Absolutely some of the best food around! The service was great. Recommend making reservations.

Yelp
Just had dinner with my family. We were seated in a private room and Grace, our server, was amazing! She even, when asked, said a blessing before our dinner! What an amazing dinner experience!

Yelp
I guess I expected more from The Walnut Kitchen. The hostess was not very inviting when I told her our size party may be short, but I wasn't sure. Then when we did have a full boat they already had changed our seating. They got us seated, but was definitely uncomfortable, as the hostess clearly showed irritation on her face. Then food came - I ordered a well done burger which came medium rare. They forgot part of our order which came out later, but then brought the wrong thing out. That said, the food was okay. It was truly unfortunate, as I have heard so many amazing things about this place - that said, I would like to try it again, give it another chance. I will say, throughout our meal (good and bad) the manager was very nice and accommodating - however, the waitress was just, meh. Signed, Slightly Disappointed.

Yelp
Our second time visiting this restaurant. We drive over an hour just to eat here. We love the atmosphere here and the food is great. The restaurant is always clean and nice restrooms. Now the biggie. Our first time here we had an awesome waitress. This time we had Tina. Talk about a terrible attitude! She would never ask us if we needed refills. We had to stop her as she was walking by and ask. We even had to ask her for straws for our drinks. She asked if we would like a wine list and we said no. I feel she thought we were cheap after that. My wife and I don't drink so of course it was a no. A local couple and I assume regulars came in and was seated by us. She showed them the attention and repeated the attention while not even giving us a second look. I grudgingly tipped her according to the price of the meal but she was not worth half of it. The manager walked over to the "regulars" next to us and talked to them. Never one time giving us a look. I am very surprised at the holier then though attitude. It is the customer base that keeps this restaurant in business. The managers job should be to go table to table every so often and just ask if the food and service is good. From watching him he only goes to those he wants to. I do not think we will return. Many other nice restaurants in Maryville such as Bella's that appreciate the business.

Yelp
I tried this restaurant when it first opened and wrote a truthful and very negative review. Years later I tried again. I found the food to be mediocre in quality and overly priced. I won't make the mistake a third time. Drinks are $10, not top shelf, which is way outside the area prevailing for where this restaurant is located. This is a small town, not a large metropolitan area. The best I can say about it is that it's not a chain and that everything isn't fried!

Yelp
The perfect date night restaurant. Haven't had anything mediocre here. Cornbread served to every table with sweet butter. Great starter and I'm not even a cornbread fan. Got the spinach dip with butter beans and this was SO GOOD. Even better as leftover. Served with those thick chips. Great app if you're having trouble deciding. The steak. Dry aged NY strip to be exact. Sinfully good. Didn't need a single accompaniment. I got the veggie pasta which was light and delicious. I added grilled shrimp and that's what I would recommend over the chicken. Ordering pasta didn't scare me away from also ordering a side of the rotini. Adult Mac and cheese with bacon. Didn't disappoint. Husband got the baked potato which was good - your typical side. We tried to do dessert but I opted for a second drink instead: Blood orange margarita with a sugar rim. If this is your kind of drink with tequila...don't hesitate to order. Well of course be back. I'm curious about these Buffalo chicken lollipops...

Yelp
First time for us at this wonderful establishment. It has a very rustic and romantic atmosphere (especially in the back by the kitchen). We had reservations and were seated immediately. The back area is darker and cozier, however the kitchen is open back there. We found it interesting to watch the kitchen staff work. Our server had just started working there, but nonetheless, was knowledgable about the menu. My wife found a Cab that she liked, and I found (for the first time ever!) Buffalo Trace Kosher Bourbon. Even the Bourbon Kitchen in Lexington didn't have that, although it was on their menu! Our server started us off with their house cornbread, which we thought was the perfect cornbread in every way. I had the house salad with house dressing. It was good size and variety. For dinner, I had the 6 oz Filet Mignon. Very few restaurants offer a small filet, so I appreciated that choice (the other size they offer is 8 oz). The steak was prepared perfectly and tasted wonderful. I was able to eat the entire piece of meat (no fat or grizzle). I also had the sautéed French green beans. They were also prepared well. My wife opted for the night's special, pan seared Red Snapper over grits with a mango salsa. She loved it, and so did I (because I had to try it). Our server was attentive and formal throughout our meal. We really felt it was worth the visit. Although, at their prices, I wouldn't go there every weekend. It's a perfect place for a special occasion or date night.

Yelp
Cornbread is to die for. Filet steak with rosemary butter is amazing. We didn't have a single bad dish

Yelp
This restaurant has come a long way since opening and they have really redeemed themselves in so many ways. Service has been on point and the food is phenomenal. We've tried everything from fish to steak to their granny's pizza and always leave satisfied. We even ordered their Thanksgiving dinner for 6 to go and it was a great price ($150) for all the food we received. They are doing another to go dinner for Christmas and we will probably be picking that up too. They have a new special each week and that helps mix things up sometimes, but their burger and fries is a great option on a budget. The fries are fresh cut and so good.
