The Wandering Paisa

Awesome place to stay. All clean and neat and most important people who works there 5 star. Lovely and very nice guys starting with José, Nico and the most beautiful Paula as well all other emplyees. Only good things to say and very good experience we had. Thank you for sharing some love❤️

Wandering Paisa Medellín is an incredible place to stay and truly captures the spirit of the city. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed with such warmth that it immediately feels like home. The hostel has the perfect balance of social and chill — easy to meet people, but still calm enough to rest and recharge. The staff are amazing: friendly, attentive, and always happy to help with recommendations, tours, or anything you need to make the most of Medellín. The rooms and common areas are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, and the overall vibe is positive, safe, and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where conversations flow easily and you leave with new friends and great memories. If you’re visiting Medellín and want a hostel that feels authentic, community-oriented, and fun, Wandering Paisa is a must. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone traveling through the city.

I stayed at Wandering Paisa for 2 nights and here is my take away: Pros: 1. You are in a prime spot in terms of night life, easy access to shops and street vendors 2. Staff and maintenance crew are chill 3. You will meet some cool people in the hustle as the hustle runs weekly programs such as language exchange and karaoke Cons: 1. The WiFi in the second floor is going to give you a hard time as you don’t always get a good reception, so if you really need wifi you may use the ground floor 2. The kitchen seems a bit small for such a sized hustle (this is something to consider if you are a cooker like me) Will I stay here again? Yes, for a reasonable price and location worth it.

The Wandering Paisa is one of the safest places to stay in Medellín. It is in a WONDERFUL location. The staff are employees and not volunteers. Security it good, with cameras. The ambiance is friendly and clean. There's a bar, a community kitchen with good cookware, not cheap/broken/burnt no sense. I cannot recommend this place enough for the savy traveler. ☔

I LOVED this place ! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, resourceful, and EXTREMELY helpful !!! The decor had a very artsy flair and was very warm and inviting. I felt at home IMMEDIATELY. The location within the city of Medellin was not only quite scenic but very convenient to various restaurants, a major supermarket, and the Metro.

Awesome place, friendly staff, great location, language exchange every Thursday night. It's great for soño travelers and also has private rooms with large beds and bathrooms for couples (or older farts like me).

Amazing price and it was even better value! Hot showers, great WiFi and beds were comfy too. The staff on the front desk were nice too :)

Best value for money, highly recommend! I had an amazing stay at this hostel. The value for money is honestly the best I’ve seen: you get so much for what you pay. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made me feel at home right away. The location is perfect: it’s in a lively but safe neighborhood, and it’s really close to the stadium, so it’s ideal if you’re planning to catch a game. The atmosphere in the hostel is great, very social and easy to meet people, whether you’re traveling solo or with friends. That said, it’s not a crazy party hostel, so you can still get a good night’s sleep. Everything was clean, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, comfortable, and well-located place to stay.
