"For years, this trio of historic godowns (warehouses) dating back to 1895 lay empty till homegrown hospitality group Lo and Behold restored them into the hip yet soulful, industrial-edged Warehouse Hotel." - Charlene Fang

"How did it strike you on arrival? From across the Singapore River this trio of former godowns (warehouses) cuts a striking profile. Inside, it’s just as sophisticated, with industrial chic details inspired by Fritz Lang’s film Metropolis. Think pulleys hanging from the ceiling’s exposed steel trusses. It’s hard to resist the urge to pull out your smartphone and start snapping. What’s the crowd like?Tastemakers, design fiends, sophisticated hipsters. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.My River View Room had views across the water, once a hub of shipping activity and now a residential area and a dining hub. At 365 square-feet it was a decent size and the rectangular layout was space-efficient. I found the interior – in muted browns and dusky blues – very soothing, and I loved the mod Asian look of the ikat print bedspread. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?Comfy bed with pillow top, pillows a tad soft. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that worth a mention? It’s not every day your mini-bar includes local snacks and creamy Hokkaido milk to make hot drinks with. And they’re not the only unconventional offerings in the selection – check out the BDSM paddle. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down. How can a bathroom that looks so minimalist have everything you need? Somehow The Warehouse has made this work, with a lush shower, plush towels, a vast vanity and guilt-free products from eco-certified label Ashley & Co. We all need some good Wi-Fi. What’s the word on that?High-speed and free. Anything stand out about other services and features? The restaurant is by celebrated local chef Willin Low and features jazzed-up hawker staples, like a wrap-it-yourself popiah (pancake with pork and vegetables). A rooftop glass lap pool with pink tiles the color of those in local old-school coffee shops is the icing on the building. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay? The thoughtful touches and informed design, not to mention the bragging rights that you’ve stayed in one of Singapore’s coolest new hotels. Bottom line: worth it?It’s a tour de force by a team of Singaporean backers, designers, chefs and more – this is luxe local at its best." - Audrey Phoon

We absolutely loved our stay at the Warehouse! A beautifully designed boutique hotel, this place was at the perfect stop along Robertson Quay and close to Havelock MRT (as well as other stops) which made it super convenient to get around Singapore for our five day stay. The rooms are well-appointed and super comfortable — we really loved how comfortable the bed was after a long day of walking and the bathtub was large and perfect for soaking! Plus, the Warehouse has a superb cocktail menu and bar staff who are innovative and pushing the boundaries of cocktail flavors with local inspiration! Jae and Randeep at the bar were excellent and we loved stopping by to try some of their off-menu creations that are in the running for global cocktail competitions! Overall, I’d highly recommend staying at the Warehouse for a unique and comfortable stay in Singapore.

In a city of huge international hotels all trying to trump each other, this is indeed a rare commodity at only 37 rooms, and wonderfully located on the Singapore river. So lovely to walk up and down the footpath in relative tranquility, and with access to loads of eateries (albeit mostly of international cuisine). Hotel itself is small, the over used word 'boutique' in this case being very accurate, stylishly designed with a oh so cool reception/bar area (which you will use as a break out/relax area); plus a delightful small pool overlooking the river and adjoining buildings. our room a decent size and well fitted out, but the light switches completely unfathomable (minor grump!). We had a river view room on the ground floor and you certainly need the net curtains as people walk/jog and cycle right past your window; its fine but was a bit unnerving at first!!. You cant open any windows so are dependent on the air conditioning for fresh air. the hotel is dark (and cool) and we are aware that some of the rooms only have windows in the ceilings , which we would find too claustrophobic. We had only one breakfast in the hotel (not included in our price but we are offered a fixed price discount); it was OK, nothing special in such a foody city. All staff delightful and helpful. It is a lovely historic building and is very well located, 5 mins to nearest MRT, lots in walking distance. we loved it and would stay again. if you want all the facilities and a bit more space and things to do in hotel then this is not the place for you.

06/04/2024 - Updated 2nd Review -||Having recently stayed here for our second time in visiting Singapore the original review still stands. It was a brilliant stay second time around with everything we experienced the first time was as expected and excedded second time round.|||||Tripadvisor repost:||Wow, what a knockout Hotel and an absolute must stay when in Singapore!||I couldn't speak more highly about this hotel. A Heritage former-warehouse converted to a boutique style hotel ... this hotel gives you everything you could possibly need to make it a very enjoyable stay whenever in Singapore.||Excellent staff, attention to detail, great entrance, open plan style lobby which incorporates plenty of seating and a really nice bar that has a decent amount to offer.|The breakfast / restaurant area is well appointed and offers a great selection for breakfast.||The see-through infinity style roof top pool is small-ish in size but works perfectly with the hotel and offers great views of down the river and looking towards the city centre.||The rooms though, are the winner. Excellent layout with really cool decor to match. Colour scheme works well and everything ties in perfectly. Very well done and very comfortable rooms to stay in.||The staff is as expected. Attentive, polite, attention to detail & always happy to assist in whatever help you may require.

Ground floor river view room has a walking path between you and the river so get ready to either have your curtains closed at all times or be the view yourself. Bathroom also had significant black mold growing in on the shower room ceiling. Service food and drink at both PO and lobby bar were outstanding.

I loved this hotel to stay 1,2,3 nights. The rooms are design rooms with enough space for the luggage. The design is beautiful and modern. It is located right along a river where you can go for a walk or run in the morning or night, Plenty of restaurants within a few miles. However, the best restaurant is at the hotel. My favorite restaurant in my entire stay in Singapore. The food is top notch. The servers are well trained. We had breakfast and dinner and love it. Staff super friendly and knowledgeable. We felt welcome at all times

Friendly and attentive staff, excellent meals at Po (inside the hotel) & cocktails at the bar. Exceptionally comfortable bed - best sleep ever. Loved the room and the concept of this boutique hotel - also, environmentally conscious. Swimming pool was a treat at the end of a day. |The hotel is in an excellent location. Not too close to the bay area to command an inflated price but not too far away from the attractions we wanted to visit. Chinatown (Maxwell) or Orchard Road were only 2 stops away (in opposite directions!) or you could walk. Perfect. The price for the room was very reasonable, too – considering the deluxe nature of our room and the lobby. You ‘could’ rent a box room in any of the other big chains, but then, you ‘could’ do that in any country!|We checked in for an anniversary stay and welcomed with a handwritten note accompanied by a very generously chosen bottle of wine. Chocolates and tokens for cocktails of our choice at the bar were also a nice surprise. Very thoughtful.|Almost immediately, we were greeted by name whenever we ventured out for a day of experiences. Some of our adventures were suggested by the front of house staff or managers. One excellent suggestion was to walk down to the Merlion - a much better idea than taking the subway.|Each afternoon, after a long day of sightseeing, the pool was a welcome experience. A nice touch. Towels are provided as were kimono style robes to wear (from the room to the pool).|Environmental touches were very noticeable – from bamboo shaving kits to ring pull top bottles of water (glass). Instead of wasting paper on menus, The Warehouse uses QR codes to provide information on anything from breakfast service to minibar items and costs – well done.|We are connoisseurs of a good bathroom and the bath (in the room) and shower room were spacious and spotless. Plenty of room to move around and the unique fragrance of their shower gel / shampoo / conditioner is unique. |Spacious and comfortable beds – we had a super king. I don’t think I’ve ever slept so well in a hotel. Oh! And the pillows. A dream! I was not at all disturbed by my husband’s snoring at any point.|In the Loft Room, the ceiling is so high, it is a wonderful retreat from a humid day and the temperature in the room was always at a comfortable level – not a case of walking in and having to wait for the room to cool down.|The housekeeping staff were wonderful! Jenny / Lien did everything in her power to make our stay a wonderful experience. From delivering an ice bucket to us on our return (without asking!) to ensuring we understood about the freebies in the minibar to leaving our room spotless each day – the service goes above and beyond.|As mentioned, this was for our anniversary. I had a quiet word with Karen Chan, one of the managers, in the afternoon of our last evening when we had booked dinner at Po, their own restaurant. I was trying to organise a surprise for my husband. Karen refused any advance to fund the surprise, but organised some little gifts and a whole bottle of champagne when we dined. The look on my husband’s face was priceless! (Thanks Karen)|Po was an amazing meal. Everything from breakfast (you can order anything really, by the last day, I was just asking for an omelette and toast instead of the full English and there was never an issue) to our celebratory meal were delicious. I highly recommend the beef cheek rendang – best version I have ever tasted.|The bar staff are wonderfully friendly, as are the patrons. Many enjoyable conversations were had with both staff and guests – it made us feel at home.|Thank you very much to Simeon, Karen and everyone else there at the Warehouse Hotel. We had a wonderful time and wish to visit again, soon.

This was a fantastic spot in a great location in the city. The hotel is beautiful, staff were accommodating and any time we had food or drink in the hotel it was fantastic. Only addition that was missed would be a gym or use of a nearby facility if you are staying for a longer period.

I had most pleasant stay recently at the Warehouse hotel. Beautiful design hotel, great location. Every member of the staff was very accommodating; they went beyond the usual professionalism to help me with my special needs. Thank you!
