The Waterfront Brewery

If you’re afraid of birds, this may not be the place for you. (There once was a pigeon named Clint…) For pretty much anyone else this is a nice stop on your Key West visit. Said accompanied me on my continuing journey to visit every brewery in Florida. About 100 down and another 150 to go. This place is mostly restaurant, a good beer list made on site and a large game room to entertain the kids while you sip your libations. The beer was good, I focused on Hazy IPAs and they were just fine, 3 1/2 to four stars out of five (Untapped for good accurate beer reviews), keeping in mind that I drink a lot of beer. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the beers, but my five stars are reserved for the ones that give me cartoon wide eyes. The food and the location are the primary stars of the show. The Roast Beef and Grilled Cheese Sammy was good, but nothing mind blowing. The Brewer’s Chicken Sammy, however, was flavorful, moist and about the size of my open hand. This was an excellent sandwich and, frankly, Sydney and I should have shared this one. In the back, they have a fairly robust and modern game room for kids and kids at heart to enjoy. We were visiting on a cruise stop and I had another brewery to hit, so we had lunch and two beers before heading onward. I would absolutely recommend this as a stop for lunch for any beer snobs or a quick family stop.

A very crowdy place right on the shore, which give you a nice vibe in the moment you cross the entrance. It has good food with normal portions, we had fish and chips and 2 x catch of the day, the IPA beer is also really tasty. You have for entertaiment a room with arcade games there too. So, enjoy!

Nice place to grab a bite and a drink near the water in Key West. We stopped in and had some pork nachos and a couple of drinks. I tried the reserve flight and my wife had a rum punch and it was all delicious. The bartender was very friendly and delivered quick service. There are a bunch of arcade games in here as well so definitely a good place for families with kids.

The weather was beautiful and the indoor/outdoor feel of the restaurant with a view of the docks made it a great choice for lunch on an early Sunday afternoon. The menu had a wide selection of options. The beer flight sounded like a great place to begin and it turned out to be good value at $8. It was more than enough to have along with a meal. My friend and I split the tasty fish dip. We also split the Fish & Chips and the Bayou Shrimp. The fish had a good amount of batter and was fluffy and light. The Bayou Shrimp was spectacular. The sauce had a little spice (not Heat) to it, which I really enjoyed, it also came with a good amount of flavorful shrimp. I would definitely return to this establishment.

Sep 20, 2025. Stopped for Lunch after a Dive on Vandenburg with Capts Corner Dive Boat, this place was recommemded by Capt. Ricky . What an awesome Rec. $15 Sandwhiches_ which is reasonably priced for Key West. Great Mahi Blackened Sandwhich, Hot Fries and Cold Iced Tea _ refills. Clean rest and B/R's. Bar was half Full, Rest 1/3 full. Lots of TVs for Sports etc. Recommend and will Return.

We had a great experience here. Our server was great ( I can't recall his name), love the atmosphere sitting close to the water, and the food was delicious. The gift shop was the only place I found stuffed pelicans! I loved them! I can't wait to visit Key West to eat here again!

What an awesome place. And the view of the harbor is so nice to see when dining or having a drink. I had the avocado shrimp BLT and my husband had a club sandwich. They were so good! We had so much that we took some home to eat later. We also had the pretzel sticks with beer cheese. And let’s not forget the beer we had. A Pilsner for my husband and an oatmeal stout for me.

We ordered the Seafood Ceviche and I ordered the Bayou Shrimp. Both were excellent. The hostess and the waitress were friendly and the food came out fast. This place is right off the dock so you can see the marina and they have an arcade towards the back of the restaurant.

Came here with a group of friends who were in town and getting seated and served was a breeze. It was a Saturday afternoon so we were expecting a wait but luckily we didn't wait at all. The place was busy without a doubt but it's a big restaurant and staffed well. Between the drinks and the food, everything was good. I ordered the Fish and Chips and it came hot, fresh out the fryer I presume! I think the portion was great and I was literally full the entire night after eating lunch here. I didn't care for the coleslaw but to be honest, I'm rarely wowed by one so I just didn't eat it. Our server had no problem giving our group 3 separate checks and she was also super attentive. I had low expectations for a restaurant in such a touristy spot but honestly, it was great for lunch. I would come back here again. There's also plenty of parking in front of the brewery (pay to park) which is a plus for the key west area.

Came here with the husband to celebrate his birthday. The hotel shuttle dropped us right in front of this place so we thought it was meant to be. Really enjoyed it though! The restaurant is right on the pier in the heart of key west. So you can get a beautiful view of the water. Also it's pretty cool bc they have arcade games you can play with your kids. And ur husband. Haha. The food was ok. We ordered peel shrimps and the churrasco. It was good - nothing to DIE for. But good. Also the beers were good. I couldn't try any of them bc I'm preggers but it smelled good and my husband liked it. Overall good place I would come back.

We made our way to the brewery for some daily catch, but none was available that day. Nevertheless this place always has a good outcome. Beer flights were enjoyed. An epic grilled beef and cheese sandwich was savory and filling. My other friends downed their fries, fish dip, shrimp pasta, and fish and chips with gusto. The service was friendly and we enjoyed our open booth on the water side. The restaurant is huge, with entrances both on the street and off the boardwalk near the public restrooms.

Nice and chill key west place! I wanted to go to the southern Musbury and so I went here and the beers were good and the food was good as well. I would definitely recommend.

Stopped in on a cold late Wednesday night. Bartender suggested the pretzel appetizer with the beer cheese sauce. Just stop right there. You don't need to order anything else. It was probably one of the best appetizers ever. Just absolutely awesome you can thank me later, order it.

A little after 8pm and all ten tables sitting all without food and I was nervous but tried the food. The waiter came by and he was great. We came in earlier today to check out the brewery now time for grub. Ordered the Mahi-Mahi sandwich, conch chowder and the fish dip which seems to be my goto in Key West. The craft beer is distilled in house so I ordered the Truman Imperial IPA 9.5%. Massive game room and souvenir store. The food came to the table within ten minutes and every dish was a 5 star. Very clean bathrooms.

Excellent blackened mahi, shrimp and scallop risotto and the conch chowder was delicious.

While visiting Key West, I went to visit The Waterfront Brewery with my husband and my brother-in-law. We each tried some of their craft beers on tap. We all agreed that they had a good selection of craft beers on tap. Also, we ordered their Pretzel Sticks with Beer Cheese Sauce to share, and they were very good. We were there for awhile playing pool and having a good time. The bartender provided us with great service during our visit. Also, I strolled through their gift shop and ended up buying some of their cool stickers from there. Cool spot!

What a great location for lunch! Open air restaurant right on the water. Service was great! Food was also good. We had the pretzel appetizer - served hot and with a delicious cheese dip! Our friends shared the skirt steak, rice and beans and we shared the Mahi fish and chips. Food was very good!

Great customer service. A lot of seating. Beautifully decorated. Right on the water. Great food selection and drinks. Food was amazing. Got the nachos as an app and they were extremely filling and flavorful. Mahi sand which was blackened and was amazing. They have a gift shop . Def give this place a go, you won't be disappointed.

What an incredible experience. Just after we arrived the whole family was hungry and we were definitely in need of a drink. The waterfront brewery delivered amazingly with food great drinks and wonderful service. Unfortunately I'm a little late writing this review so I don't remember our servers name, but she was attentive, knowledgeable, professional, and fun. The blackened mahi-mahi was perfectly cooked and tasted fantastic. The fresh catch was grouper I believe and it was grilled to perfection. Everyone else enjoyed their dishes as well and said they were perfectly prepared. When you head to the keys, this is a must Tri restaurant. Hope you go and enjoy as much as we did. Bon appétit

Amazing food and service. Must get the soft pretzels with beer cheeses. The burger was AMAZING. So juicy and delicious.

Good service (because it's empty) but bad beer. No IBU and descriptions don't list anything like citra or mosaic or centennial, etc. But beautiful views of the water at least! So basic. Not exciting.

Very good service, tasty food, chill ambiance. Fresh catch (Maui) very good (rice & broccoli), kale salad also very good. Priced fairly.

Friendly and attentive, also fast(!), service! I asked my waiter which cocktail to order if I didn't want anything too sweet, and he helped me decide on the very easy-to-consume Rum Sunset. I also ordered the mahi mahi sandwich, which is circled on the menu, blackened. It has a lot of flavoring on it, which could have been lighter, but it was well cooked. The fries that came with the sandwich were good too!

Went in for lunch with a last minute group of 20. Service was amazing and they quickly seated and served us. Everyone enjoyed their meals- zero complaints. I had the shrimp and scallop risotto. It was amazing. Shrimp and scallops were cooked and seasoned to perfection, served over a bed of very yummy risotto. I will definitely be back.

My wife and I were enjoying our anniversary trip to Key West and were looking for a place to watch the NASCAR race. We picked this place, because it's right on the waterfront and has lots of TVs. They also have flights of beer to try, but you don't get to pick the beers to try. That's a bit of a shame, because they have plenty of beers on tap, that I would have liked to try. We did enjoy our stay, the food was good, the service was good, the beer was cold and they tuned in the race for us. We would come back again.

Just OK. My husband loved the beers he had and I feel we should always start with the good! The waterfront setting was so inviting as well. Great location close to duval street. I got a French dip grilled cheese I believe. It was more of a pot roast French dip. Weird! Didn't like the carrots and onions in there. It came with fries and those were good. I probably wouldn't eat here again but I may stop in for a beer again.

I normally make it a point to eat here when I visit Key West. The food is usually good. I always order an old fashion made with Makers Mark. Today instead of an old fashion I was brought some orange water down drink. When I asked the water what is was since old fashion's are not orange, he said it was an old fashion. The manager, Brian came over, I explained this did not taste like Markers Mark bourbon or was the right color. He say it was made the way it should be and he wouldn't change it for a new one. When I asked how it was made he said bourbon and soda-there's no soda in old fashion's. Brian lost a faithful customer. You would think that when 2 people that always get the most expensive item on the menu, fresh catch, the least a good manager would do is change the drink.

My favorite part of this brewery by far was the location -- being able to sit by the open air and watch all the hustle and bustle near the docks. The brewery is huge with lots of seating, TVs, and entertainment/games. The beers we tried were just OK - the couple that I really wanted to try, they were out of of, so that was a bit disappointing. For food, we tried the pulled pork nachos and the ceviche. The ceviche was just ok, I wasn't sure about the addition of conche in there for me. The nachos were amazing though! Would definitely come back for nachos and the views.

We came here after getting a voucher from Fogartys for a free flight with equal purchase. Very good beer and good value! Probably the cheapest and best tasting flight of beer I have had

Very good beer! We loved the beer and food here. The only downside to the brewery is they do not have very many beers on tap that they make. The food was very good and extremely fresh! The service was good but the bartenders were not the friendliest. The place as a whole has a super fun vibe to it and it would be a great place to get a group together and hang out! The outdoor area is also very nice. We will definitely be back and hopefully they have some more beer options the next time!

3 stars for the beer, 5 stars for the food & atmosphere! Waterfront Brewery has by far the best fried chicken sandwhich I've eaten on the island. And I'm not even a huge fried chicken person, but holy wow it's delicious! Huge chicken breast soaked in buttermilk and fried to juicy perfection. It's my favorite thing on the menu. My other favorite is the massive brisket grilled cheese. It's soooo cheesy and with the brisket and gravy and cheese, wow, you keep eating even though you're so full!! I love these two sandwiches so much, my husband and I brought friends here and they all agreed it's the best fried chicken as well! The beer is ok.. it's key west and they aren't known for tasty craft beer, let's be real. But, they do a great job with some guest taps, and the atmosphere is amazing on the waterfront. It's also fun to come here for all the video games and arcade games. You can eat a great meal and stay entertained!

This is a very large brewery that can accommodate large parties! You can see the boats cuz it's right next to the docks! The doors open and it become a refreshing and breath taking spot to having lunch. My husband got a flight of beers to try and we just got an appetizer to share while we waited for our ride. The conch and shrimp ceviche was kind of bland. Not really much taste to it. It definitely needed more lime and salt. The waiter was great and friendly.

Fish & chips were phenomenal. The beer battered on it was so good. Enough for 2 people. The slaw wasn't the best but the fish & chips and the dip it came With made up For it.

We stopped in here for a late lunch early dinner after flying all day. The menu offered the usual bar foods, burgers, nachos, salads, some with a southern twist. Since this was a brewery, there was a printout of about 12 beers. The first two we ordered were not available. We settled on two others and they arrived flat and a bit warm. Not the best start. Moving on to the food, the BBQ pork sandwich served with fries was excellent. A bit smoky and a bit sweet on a fresh Kaiser roll with slaw. The burger was 1/3 pound, pre formed but was cooked to order and juicy. Our server was a bit cold to start but she got better as our dining went on, checking on us, refilling waters and quick to ring us out when asked. This was a good quick stop but not sure we will keep it on the list to visit again this trip.

Food had very exquisite tastes. Went to numerous restaurants in Key West and this one was definitely one to remember. Highly recommend over and over again.

Stopped here for dinner after a long day out on the water and glad we did! We were seated quickly for a Friday night and were close to the water, so go to enjoy the nice breeze and the large windows at the front of the restaurant. My husband and I started with the shrimp (similar to bang bang shrimp) and the pretzels with beer cheese. Both were delicious and filling. Then, we shared the shrimp and scallop risotto - it was very filling and very cheesy. The scallops were absolutely cooked to perfection.

We came in for a quick lunch. I had the club sandwich. Definitely plan on sharing this bad boy. It was great but I had a lot leftover. Their fries are really, really good. I wasn't a huge fan of their smoked fish dip (needed something extra) and the tortilla chips were a tad stale. Their rum punch is really good. Overall, a fun atmosphere and the service is fairly decent.

We stop in here any time we are in the Keys for a quick brew and maybe a bite to eat. The most recent visit we enjoyed a shrimp and avocado blt that was wonderful! The little man enjoyed the chicken fingers and seeing the pigeons fight over anything he dropped. A great time!

Fun spot with nice beer to hang out while in Key West. Try the Crazy Lady Beer it was our favorite and seems like a popular one in the brewery. It was a rainy day when we visited and the service was good and the games provided a spot for us to occupy our time while we waited for the rain to stop

Went back to the WFB last week and we're just as happy with everything a stated in my previous review. We had the ahi tuna salad and the seared scallops in a pineapple rum cream sauce. The scallops we to die for. The salad was great as well, but we're still craving those scallops.

Very indifferent to the food here. It was okay. We had the nachos and a salad. Drinks were okay too (had cocktails not beer) location is great and service was solid.

We came by for dinner after doing a bike tour nearby. Surprisingly enough it wasn't terribly busy and we were able to get a booth right near the docks and watched the sunset while we dined. Our waiter was quick and attentive. It really was a nice place to relax and catch the sunset after our hectic time on the bike tour. I would say the food was average. Nothing special, but it wasn't overpriced.

fantastic! I'll definitely be coming whenever I'm back in Key West, our server was phenomenal and the food was top notch. Risotto is one of my favorite dishes and they sure nailed it, the spices, the rice, the seafood was cooked through. LOVED IT ! Considering this place is actually a brewery I did not think the food was gonna be half as good as it was. The pretzel were warm and the cheese sauce very tasty. Cant wait to go again!

We had the best meal here last night waiting for our sunset cruise! The service was amazing, we sat at the bar and ordered way too much food! The portions are large! We ended up canceling our sandwich we ordered for it wasn't made yet, the soup and fish dip were plenty! The beer was wonderful, we tried their logger! Highly recommend this place! Super friendly people!

Visited for dinner and a drink. I tried a couple beers but Wheats and Ambers being my favorite and they didn't have any I got a vodka cranberry. My wife got an IPA. I had the chicken breast sandwich and it was awesome! My wife got the ropa viejo and said it was amazing. Friendly servers and great view!

Read the previous reviews and I didn't expect a lot. We got A LOT! Food was excellent. I don't even LIKE nachos but I helped my husband finish his. The Mahi Mahi was super fresh- best I've ever had. Waiter was very attentive and the gentleman they had bussing our dishes after each course was excellent! We both very much recommend this place! The photos say it all-not a crumb left!

Roast Beef Grilled Cheese is amazing ! Wish they had water available without having to buy bottled water at $2.50 each. Said there was an issue where they could serve regular water. Great place otherwise!

Great location and good beer which is what we were looking for. It was a hot day, so we chose to stay inside - but the outside area looked great. Service for our party of 8 was good and fast. My husband and I shared the Mahi sandwich and fries and it was good - I loved the Crazy Lady Honey Blonde Ale and ordered it again later in the week when I saw it on another menu. Husband enjoyed the Island Life Lager. Our party also tried the lettuce wraps and thought they were great. Pork nachos were good - but could have used more meat to the amount of chips. So many places to choose from in Key West so not sure I'd eat their again - but would definitely enjoy their beer again.

Extremely bad wine, beer was ok. No happy hour when others nearby do. Your choice! But, many options in the area, so, look, don't leap. Had no food.

Great service and I had the Fresh Catch of the day that was the best fish dish I've ever eaten.

This was our last meal of our trip for a late lunch. Honestly, it sounds amazing on paper and upon my arrival, I wasn't so sure about it. The place is HUGE and they have an arcade. Technically, they have TWO arcades. One seemed mostly closed and the other was open but wasn't my vibe. That's cool. We got sat at a window which was awesome for people watching regarding people coming and going from charter boats. Our server was sweet and attentive and gave us personal recommendations without being prompted! That's huge for me. The folks working there likely eat there every day they work and have tried everything, why would you NOT want to know what they like? We started with smoked fish dip and holy cow! We felt that it was likely the best we've ever had. We cleaned it up. We then shared a blackened mahi mahi sandwich and the shrimp & scallop risotto. I'm not gonna lie, I was suspect of the latter but it was delicious and elegant. Huge portions too. We also had a few beers and they were quite good too! I had their Crazy Lady at El Siboney and immediately was bummed because I didn't realize it was a Blonde but then I tasted it. Holy cow! It's quite good! Solid place all around and seriously, don't sleep on their food.

The food is great but I typically would come for the trivia nights and the company. Perhaps the food was a tad tastier with my companions

Absolutely our favorite place to eat and play while staying in KW. Friendly staff, phenomenal food, excellent beer's to choose from!!! We also had fun playing the video games, pinball and skeeball!!! A must try if you are visiting.

Excellent food. Decent view. Especially the pulled pork (juicy, sweet and full of flavor. Bayou Shrimp is spicy with great taste. Beer is good. Highly recommend

Good attentive service and nice view of the marina. I had the shrimp and avocado blt (came with fries) which was delicious. My dad had the Baja pork nachos and they were packed! Absolutely worth the price for the quantity and taste. Also had their key lime pie which was pretty good but had whipped cream instead of meringue and a looser graham crust compared to blue heaven.

I'm actually shocked no one mentions the smell. Even my family didn't say anything so maybe it's just me? I couldn't wait to leave it was so bad
