This was our first time in Malta, and we honestly didn’t know what to expect. We chose this hotel based on Booking.com reviews, and we were absolutely not disappointed. Hats off to the staff – they were incredibly kind and attentive.
The hotel was spotless and extremely well-equipped. We had everything we could possibly need: makeup remover pads, cotton swabs, nail files, toothbrushes, bathrobes, and high-quality disposable slippers. The beds were huge and very comfortable, with excellent mattresses. The pillows were fine, though tastes vary. The sofa bed was quite thin, but it wasn’t a problem for our daughter, who is not very heavy.
We were assigned a room on a fantastic floor with an absolutely stunning view of the sea and the entire Sliema harbor. The staff even prepared a wonderful surprise for our daughter’s 18th birthday: balloons on the bed, beautifully arranged towels, a cake with the message “Happy 18th Birthday,” and a card from the manager. It was such a thoughtful touch that made her day truly special.
Breakfast was incredible, with an enormous variety of options: freshly squeezed orange juice, small pancakes, scrambled eggs, boiled and fried eggs, croissants, pain au chocolat, jams of all kinds, fresh vegetables like tomatoes and cucumbers, ham, salami, butter, many types of bread, sausages, mushrooms, baked beans, bacon – basically everything you could want, including English breakfast-style dishes. Of course, if you stay many days, the menu repeats daily, but it was still excellent every morning.
The hotel also has a pool and sauna, which can be used even in January, although we didn’t try them. The terrace was closed due to winter winds, but the view from our room more than made up for it.
We really appreciated the little extras: a sleeping kit with earplugs and an eye mask, an espresso machine with Dolce Gusto capsules, instant coffee, tea, kettle, and clear instructions. The internet worked perfectly, and the TV provided all the information we needed about our stay and things to explore in Malta.
One of the things we loved was the water system: in our room, we had glass bottles that we could take to refill stations in the hallways. These machines provided high-quality water with options for cold, room-temperature, or hot water. On top of that, every day the staff would also bring bottled water (about 1 liter) to the room. It was a very thoughtful and eco-friendly touch.
The bathroom was fully equipped with thick, high-quality towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and other amenities. There was even a bidet, which was very convenient.
For dinner one night, we tried a Tomahawk pork, which was excellent, and their Bavaria beer was very good too. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. On our late-flight day, check-out was easy, and we could leave our luggage safely at the hotel while exploring Malta before collecting it again.
Minor points like the thin sofa bed matress and the noisy air conditioning are absolutely negligible compared to everything else the hotel offered. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Highly recommended!
