The Waterfront Wynyard

Our stay in Wynyard at the Waterfront was excellent. Clean room with a quite relaxing atmosphere. Great position with some great walks and shops all nearby. |Staff were fabulous, friendly and helpful.|Food was excellent and we enjoyed a great breakfast each morning. |Would definitely stay again and certainly recommend it to friends and family.

We stayed in an older style room, however it was immaculate! Clean & well appointed, nothing was overlooked! Great ambience with the water across the way, and soooo quiet! There were a couple of director's chairs in the cupboard, so we sat gazing at the peaceful waterviews. Breakfast in the cafe was great. Service in reception & the cafe was excellent. Thank you also for the tip for dinner, just across the road, at The Wharf Hotel. That was a bonus! We will definitely be staying there again. 100% recommend The Waterfront Wynyard !

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and both times it didn’t disappoint. The attention to detail to make sure that our stay was comfortable in every respect is so very well done. To walk into a heated room with the lights on and the tv screen with beautiful artwork on it was so very welcoming. It is the only motel accommodation where this has ever happened to us. We have always walked into a dark cold room. The bed was so very comfortable and we enjoyed the beautiful soft, snuggly and comfortable pillows giving us a very peaceful|and relaxing sleep. They even have information letting you know that a further pillow selection was available from the reception office. The complimentary bottle of water left on the bedside table was greatly appreciated. The information booklet was one of the most informative information booklets that I have ever come across. There were even instructions on how to work the television, the television remote, the air conditioner, the microwave in the information booklet. The shower was absolutely fabulous, the water pressure was brilliant as was the shower head. Washing my long hair was so very easy to do. We even found deck chairs in the cupboard which could be used in the Summer months allowing you to sit outside to enjoy the water view. You deserve 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for your attention to detail to make your customers stay there both a very comfortable and happy one. The hospitality, the friendless of the staff at reception and our overall stay was a definite 10 out of 10. Well Done for your outstanding hospitality and your attention to detail to make your customers stay both a very comfortable and a very happy one.

A fabulously friendly stay at the Waterfront. The room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. We received a very warm welcome from the owners and loved all the little extras, like chairs to sit outside to take in the views, extra pillows, coffee machine, biscuits, a variety of teas, mini bar and snack basket. We will definitely stay next time we are in Wynyard.

The Waterfront Hotel – Wynyard , TAS A charming, locally owned spot that offers more than just a place to stay. We booked the family room—modest in style but generously appointed, with everything we needed and thoughtful extras. The view over the Inglis River was stunning, especially from the directors chairs provided by the motel—perfect for morning reflection or evening happy hour. The staff were genuinely welcoming, adding to the sense of connection and care. It’s a peaceful retreat where the sound of waves rolling in reminds you you’re part of something timeless. A great example of regional hospitality done right.

I really like the Waterfront Wynyard hotel. Lovely spot, great rooms, and very cool service — plus you get lollies when you check out! They even have a few dog-friendly rooms (I don’t have a dog, but still a nice touch). It’s just a 2-minute walk to the local pub and The Vault, both with excellent food, and right next to an outstanding fish and chip shop. I stay here when I’m working in the North West.

We are repeat visitors. Always happy with the accommodation. Clean and comfortable. Staff only too happy to help with any issues. Warm in winter with lovely hot water in shower.|Only comment is the fridge in the room is only a cooler and not really suitable for medication and food storage. Ok for a cool drink. There is no crockery except for bread-and-butter plate. Some cutleries but you can ask at reception for any further needs, especially if you perhaps get take away food. The hotel across the road has a good variety of food and you bill can be charged back to your room account. A very pretty location, with lovely walking track and easy access to main street. Caution advice, there may be a problem if you have a big 4x4 or long vehicle that might make parking outside your unit difficult. Plenty of parking off street nearby.

I had an unexpected stay due to a flight delay, and what an pleasant delay it was. The motel is in a lovely setting being right on the water, with well fitted out rooms. Importantly the staff are friendly and helpful. On the food side, the motel's lounge serves a lovely breakfast, and for other meals, there are some very good choices nearby. Maybe I will hope for some more flight delays in the future for a great value for money stay!
