The Waterloo Hotel

We had to stay for two nights after our holiday home was affected by the Dolphin Sands fire. Everyone was incredibly kind and supportive—lending us phone chargers and letting us store some food in the hotel fridge. The hotel itself has an amazing sea view. The rooms are spacious, clean, and have comfortable beds, and it is very quiet at night. Complimentary coffee and tea are also available. Restaurants and cafés are easily accessible nearby, which made our stay even more convenient. If you play golf, be sure to visit the course next door—it has stunning views, and everyone there is just as friendly.

Fantastic budget-friendly hotel. The hotel is in an older style and it's not luxurious, but it's exactly what you pay for, and more. The little things count in this business, and there was a lot of attention to detail. The rooms are clean, warm and comfortable. The soap, shampoo, tea & coffee provided were all of good quality. Best of all, the staff were engaging, friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to meet our needs & extra requests. Would recommend.

An absolutely wonderful hotel. The staff are awesome - incredibly friendly and helpful. They made our stay extra special with a free upgrade to a beautiful sea view room! The room itself was extremely clean, cozy, and warm on a cold night. An exceptional experience we highly recommend.

I’ve stayed here twice now and I’ll be back! The staff are awesome - great communication, super friendly and helpful - they go out of their way to make you feel valued. The extremely clean rooms have everything you need, are warm on a cold night and I love the retro vibe blended with the modern renovations. Both times I was lucky enough to get a room with a pink bathroom! This time I was on ground level with a stunning view - you open the sliding door and step out into nature. I recommend this hotel 100%. Unbeatable water view, unbeatable value for money. Both room and bathroom are spacious and very clean. Laundry machine also available. Big thanks to the person who welcomed us, she is lovely.

Enjoyed an overnight stop on our way to Nth Tassie. Our dog friendly room was scrupulously clean and very comfortable. We loved it and so did our pooch. Great water views and direct access to a lovely lawn area. Will definitely stay again!

This hotel was a fantastic stop on our trip to Wineglass Bay. The location is incredibly convenient, with a supermarket and several restaurants just a short walk away. I would strongly recommend splurging on a waterfront room—waking up to that beautiful view was a major highlight. We were also impressed with the amenities; they offer free laundry facilities, and our room came with a capsule coffee machine and dishes, which was a huge plus. Overall, this is an excellent hotel and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Older style hotel, bathroom can do with updating but was comfortable enough. Nice bay view. Doesn't seem enough designated car parks for the amount of the rooms. Nice to hear the waves in the middle of the night. Very Quiet area, is situated at the end of a road, so no busy roads around the motel.
