The Watermill Center

I especially enjoyed the artwork of Clementine Hunter, as it was a real treat to see so many of her paintings in one location!!! Watermill Center is a must-go-to, and grateful that I finally decided to visit during my many visits to the Hamptons.

Had a life-changing retreat here in late 2000s. Peaceful, serene, aesthetically pleasing. Thank you Robert. RIP.

I attended Artists’ Table at the Watermill Center on September 28, 2024. It was awesome. This was my second Artists’ Table event and I was very happy to be at both. I also attended Open Spaces on October 12, 2024. That was a fun day!

Please for the love of God, DON'T take your child on "Family Day". Very uncomfortable and inappropriate for them. Involved graphic art about death. I personally have no issues with it, but the crying children definitely do.

The always fascinating global arts residency hub of the east end!

A private artist residency campus with limited open house, exhibition, or public lecture opportunities. I was told that the space and residency is more focused on process than output, so exhibitions are not as important to the mission of the center. The grounds are still generally available to browse as a site for outdoor sculpture and art, with the caution that this is still considered private property and any unwelcome visitors or activities can be asked to leave.
