The Watershed

Stayed as part of a work retreat for 2 nights. The hotel is excellent in terms of the room comfort level, quiet (even though the Metro North is next to it), friendly/helpful staff, decor, lounge, etc. Their restaurant is very nice as well. The only place they fell short was the food. We had catered food for breakfast/lunch (2 of each) in the meeting room we were using, and they were pretty bad. Eggs for breakfast were the worst I've ever had - cold, odd texture, tasteless. The potatoes weren't much better - very dry and no ketchup available. I've never had a bad chick caesar wrap until this stay. The wrap was stale and the chicken was dry. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was pretty good - flank steak, good apps (calamari, salad, etc.), and great cheesecake for dessert. Service in the restaurant was also very good. I would def stay again on my own. Note that it's a pretty dark entrance and parking lot, but the interior is WAY better than the exterior.

We really like this hotel. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. We wish the hotel had a microwave but other than that, we were very satisfied with the room itself ! We really liked the spacious walk in shower. Loved that there was additional seating (other than just the bed) in hotel room as well. The room included a continental breakfast however on two mornings we couldn't get any coffee. First morning, they had an issue with the coffee maker being broken and the second day, they didn't have decaf. We like the decor, the cleanliness of the hotel and how nice everyone is at this hotel! We would definitely stay again.

Booked this hotel as I was in town attending a concert at Ridgefield Playhouse (a short drive away)....also visited the Glass House in nearby New Canaan.||Rooms were clean. Beds and the many pillows were comfortable. Bathroom and shower were good....hot water and good pressure. TV in room was huge and great quality. Fridge was not.....plenty of storage and small desk for use if needed. I opted with room facing road to avoid train "noise"....the rooms facing the small creek, while a nice view, encounter trains passing every 20 minutes or so.....front desk said this starts around 7am and goes to around 11:30pm....just a heads up. Can't remember where I saw but someone mentioned something about the connecting room door and how that felt "unsafe" but I feel those same doors are in 95% of all hotel rooms these days? ||Didn't use eatery next door. There is a big room for meeting up down by the front desk. People were working on laptops there on way out the morning I left. I did purchase snacks by front desk.....chips and drinks are available for purchase. Quick exit to Merritt Parkway......other shops/stores are within short driving distance. Would book again.

Hotel has a great boutique vibe, loved the modern but comfortable feeling of the room. |Great open space with fabulous fireplace and comfy sitting areas. The attached restaurant Siena was a blast. We ate at the bar each night. The staff were so much fun, great drinks and food. We will definitely be going back pretty setting, close to shopping, restaurants, parks, and beach.

The atmosphere was great at the Watershed. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel and guest rooms were very clean and had a quality build. The bathrooms/shower were beautiful and spacious. I didn't get to use the pool but the amenities looks relaxing and welcoming. All of this came for a very reasonable price. Also, the restaurant Siena that was in the hotel was OUTSANDING. It had home made pasta and wonderful cocktails/beer sections. I would highly recommend anyone staying in the Norwalk/Stamford area to book this hotel!

Can't say enough about The Watershed! My first time staying here and could not be more pleased! I had a medical issue necessitating going to the hospital (nearby) and Yatzel was particularly amazing under duress. And he was kind, and supportive upon my return several hours later! Kaitlyn and Nia (front desk) were also so very kind and welcoming, as were the housekeeping ladies! The hotel itself is beautiful (just like in the photos, which is not always the case). I love it here and will be back!

The rooms are nice, the service is good, BUT you can hear EVERYTHING anyone does in the whole hotel. Feet stomping above you, people talking in the halls, people using their bathrooms, etc. It dumbfounds me how hotel builders simply cannot figure out how to make the rooms more noise isolating. Oh, and don't forget the hotel is right next to train tracks, so you will definitely hear that too. All in all, don't stay here.

Staff is wonderful. From housekeeping to the event coordinator and the manager. I was there for work and as someone who has worked and managed in hotels, I was blown away by the staff. Even though we didnt have hot water for about 18 hours, it was a nice stay.

just now My husband and I stayed for one night. I loved it. There were a couple of cons but mostly pros. I'll keep this review super honest. First of all the location is so convenient. It's literally right off the highway. The area seemed safe and secure no problems there. Checking in was very easy. The ladies at the front desk were very warm and welcoming, super friendly. The lobby and common areas were immaculate and beautifully decorated. We booked a King studio on the Riverview side of the hotel. The room was very clean, gorgeous, simple and quaint. The view of the river is so peaceful, but here comes the cons and my recommendation to decide on the trade-off. What I mean by that is you can hear everything that goes on upstairs if you are not on the top floor and your experience can be affected by whoever might be staying in that room and how much they move around and if you're unlucky yours will walk around until 3 o'clock in the morning like our neighbors did. Of course I didn't complain because it is at no fault of the hotels and honestly not even the people staying above me because they were simply just walking around their room, but it's something to note. It could be because there are no carpets in the room, the sound travels. After reading other reviews and the response from the general manager, she suggested so I'll pass along that information, that if you would like a more quiet stay to request a street view room. Now I don't know if the street view is just less busy and that's why it's more quiet but nonetheless, it's worth asking for. So the trade-off would be either a Riverview or quiet and a street view. Other than that, our stay was very nice. It is currently winter so I didn't have a chance to look at the rooftop patio or any of the outside amenities, but I would like to return. Also, it's worth noting that this bed was the most comfortable bed out of any hotel I have ever stayed in and the pillows... I would seriously consider taking a couple and letting them charge me because I cannot find them online anywhere lol.

The Watershed is a beautifully renovated hotel (formerly Hotel Zero Degrees) with lots of attention to detail and design. The soothing wood and earth tones are both inviting and relaxing. The lobby feels more like a living room with comfy sofas, and window-side chairs and tables. The hotel sits on the banks of the Norwalk River, and there is a view of it from the lobby, some guest rooms, and the adjoining Sienna Italian Restaurant. There is also a beautiful rooftop terrace with loungers, sofas, and cabanas. Although there is a bar space, unfortunately, it is not open except for private events. The front desk staff and everyone else who I encountered throughout my stay were very friendly and accommodating. I stayed in a superior king room that included a chaise lounger as well as a desk area. The whole room looked clean and freshly renovated. The bathroom had a beautiful, spacious marble shower with Malin+Goetz toiletries! Grace Farms local teas are complimentary, but there is a French press coffee service option that can be arranged for a fee. When I read reviews of this property prior to booking, some people complained about hearing trains go by or doors slamming. I typically travel with earplugs so that my sleep is not disturbed, so noise was not an issue for me. Overall, I had a wonderful stay, and will definitely book this hotel again when I plan to be in the area.

This could've been much better. There was no coffee maker in the room, no hairdryer in the room, no security lock on the room door. Security was a concern. The door between my room and the one next-door had a key lock. No security lock on it. That made me nervous. Finally, not enough plugs by the debt nor at the desk. Come on guys. It's 2025. We're all traveling with multiple electronics.

Absolutely stunning hotel with excellent views and a clean room. We were very pleased with our stay, from check-in to check-out. Highly recommend this location!

I stayed at The Watershed with a group for a wedding and had a great experience! They were extremely accommodating with an early check-in and a late check-out with no additional fees, which took so much stress out of the day. It is a nice, newly renovated building and was very clean. If you are booking as part of a group, just be warned that sometimes their website is tricky. It showed no availability online but when I called rooms in the block were still available. After that, it was a smooth and enjoyable stay!

Renovated lobby looks great. Staff was fine. Rooms were mostly clean but dusty. However, if you care about any of the following, you may want to look elsewhere: Climate control - you may not be able to sleep with AC units that sound like a motorcycle in your room Shower water pressure - very weak Breakfast - lukewarm coffee and an apple (or pear) Cost - way overpriced for a hotel in a less than desirable neighborhood that justifies the price with a cosmetic renovation that left details overlooked
